Brilliant again Davie, even as a traditional tier my favourite quote from this video “ you don’t always have to follow the rule book” is good advice, l instinctively improvise frequently
Moc pěkné
Thanks Davie the goat of fly tying ❤️
👌
Davey, thank you so much for the explanation of the teal feathers the different types shapes and sizes patterns on each feather and their uses for tails wings, etc. this makes a world of difference for me as I am currently sorting through waterfowl feathers that were plucked after hunts from friends during last season. Thanks for everything and for the bizarrely perfect timing on the video!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and tips about teal feathers a great help.
Very nice tie. Thank you. We use a similar fly in the NE US that uses Wood Duck for the wing. Very effective when fished just below the surface.
I just finished deciding on a couple of books to buy: first and foremost, trout and salmon flies of Scotland, then I found a similar one for Ireland… Then I sign into UA-cam and see this! Love it! Another awesome video!
Love the colours on that wee fly, brilliant tying as usual 👍
Watched this one on my lap top instead of my phone,.
You can see how the materials go on a lot more clearly.
Far better if your learning.
Another masterpiece! Thank you Davie. I’m now going to eBay to order some teal feathers.
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and techniques davie a stunning wet fly 😊
Great fly for salmon, I caught my first on that fly many years ago.
Well done, as usual!
Used to fish size 8 t&g , bottle green, during sedge hatch. Think it looked like the female returning to lay eggs
👏👏👏👏👏👏
I can never seem to find any videos on UA-cam fishing the wet fly patterns. It's always dry fly or Czech nymph patterns.
Great tying. I use green holographic on my body and great fly for wild brownies
SO it may be a big ask but i think the "transcript " gets your accent guess may be not 100% accurate -
would you mine listing these buy the row the names - i have a 1938copy of Bergman's Trout - and I like to duplicate these "traditional" patterns
that flight of your "small" sampling need sot be in one of my boxes,,, :). but i can not really hear the names..
thanks in advance
