Can you imagine what those that enjoyed this lifestyle would speak about the hurried and almost antiseptic in design lifestyle we have today? Thank you for the tour. I would truly enjoy visiting it myself someday. 😊
I think of all the people who built these houses and how they kept builders and architects, and artist working, not to mention all the staff it took to keep these places looking their best. Giving people work is some of the best things you can do for people to earn a living and build homes of their own even if they are not as grand as this.
Vanderbilts still live in the top floor. In the 1980s, a friend of my parents, who knew the Vanderbilts, invited me to accompany him on his annual visit to the Breakers. I foolishly said no and I live to regret they decision.
@@fd9987 No...I communicated with America's Castles creator Joe Van Riper while assembling my library of America's Castles. He interviewed the Countess for AC...she was a lovely person. ❤️🙏
Newport is a beautiful place. Lots of history and beautiful “summer cottages “. You definitely should visit. Thank you for watching and the comment, always appreciated .
Wow that was spectacularly viewed in this video!❤So to keep the beauty of this artful up is worth doing giving tours for others who appreciate the artist’s depth that knows no bounds! Definitely worthy for a trip including this wonder of the Breakers mansion! Your music and narration is also very smoothly perfect 👌.😁
Yes, you have a wonderful speaking voice, just perfect for this type of narration, but going a little slower would really use it to it's maximum potential.
Thank you 🙏 for watching and sincerely thank you for the advice. I am still new to adding voiceover and i didn’t realize how fast it sounds until editing. 😂
I toured that place when I was like 10 years old in 1980. Hell of a way to live.

@@StandardTraveler Please keep up the excellent work! ❤️🙏
I used to be a guide at the Breakers. It was so much fun! 😊
It is a beautiful place. Had a lot of fun visiting the area. Will definitely be back!

While absolutely beautiful…it is as equally stunning display of the self centered condition of the hearts of men 🙈🙀💭…🔥💜🕊
Makes Downton Abbey look like a dolls house
Enjoyed your video. Well done and informative. Suggestion... next video you may want to consider talking more slowly. Just a tad

“Aurora Heralding the Dawn” by Baudry is the ceiling painting in the Breakers Dining Room.
So amazing and beautiful. Almost walked into someone looking up at it 😂. Thank you for watching 😁
Heather Dubrow utilized this as her inspiration for her home in Newport Coast.
I’m sure it looks amazing. Did they sell the house ?
@@StandardTraveler yes but the videos are on her YT channel.
Beautiful but background music so loud hard to understand narrative.
Thank you, definitely a learning curve 🤪
IF YOU THINK THIS IS IMPRESSIVE
THEN YOU SHOULD VISIT THE BILTMORE ESTATE IN ASHEVILLE NORTH CAROLINA
IT DWARFS THIS COTTAGE !!!
We have been there once before and it is on our list to revisit and record
We can not build this in 2.5 years today. What is happenning?
Different time. Thank you for watching
