This is something a light public utility vehicle must be: simple, easy to fix, easy to operate, easy to drive, parts are plentiful, nearly impossible to break anytime....and most of all.....somewhat affordable....(P998k compare to some futuristic Jeepneys and E-Jeepneys that are way beyond and above P1m or more. Or sadly, even P2m for more hitech versions)
2009 Ondoy sa Markina. Nakalubog under 15 feet ng tubig yung L-300 namin for 3 days. Tawag agad ng mekaniko nung wala ng baha. After 3 hours, sya yung pinaka-unang umandar na sasakyan sa village namin. Na drive ko agad hanap ng supplies at pagkain. Kaya next ko is 2020 strada 4x4.

Ac thermostat of the L300 is nasa power din ng ac, kaya nga concentric knob ang nakalagay dyan
2020 na nga ang model pero yung interior pang 1980s parin.
Buti pa yung surplus multicabs and trucks modern na yung interior at mas mura pa.
I do hope na mabago nila para fit sa era

yeah they pretty good! but to be honest the Isuzu Traviz more for buisness, plus it has a real stick, and you get the option of getting that a/c for your products! you know~ but my dad keep telling me i should get a Toyota hiace.
i like looking that the mitsubishi do... when i grow my buisness i make sure get a mitsubishi as well.

I live In the us I have been looking for one of these in 4x4 and in automatic I can't seem to find out how to acquire one can anyone point me in the right direction
You can't find one in the U.S because they don't sell it here, period.
Somehow possible Sir.....but thru import.....mostly in right-hand-drive form since it's mostly Japanese version....And can be had as a van or a flatbed truck specially the 2nd generation (1979-present, which was featured here) and the 3rd generation (1986-1994)....and is powered by either a 1.8L 100hp OHV gas and a 2.4L 120hp OHV gas.....and has 3spd auto and 4spd Auto.....
And for left-hand-drive units.....(which fits better), the Hyundai Porter 4WD truck.....the other version if this, is way much better and well equipped....but it's much better to opt for the newer units....also thru import, via South Korea.....the only thing is.....it's turbocharged intercooled diesel as opposed to gas. In 2.5L 130hp @ 350Nm.....and it's 5spd Auto.....

San magkaron na rin dito ng ISUZU TRAGA.
Yup. Ilalabas narin po sana yubg Isuzu Traga dito last year. Pero hindi po pumasa sa regulations natin dahil Euro 4 na po tayo. At ang engine po ng Isuzu Traga ay old 2.5L TDi 90hp Euro 2 palang....in contrast....Euro4 na tayo dito habang Euro2 palang ang Indonesia kung saan pa gawa yung Traga.
At nito lang po. Napag aralan narin po ng IPC (Isuzu Phil. Corp.) na ilabas narin dito yung Traga as all-new Isuzu Travis.....at ang magiging new engine para po dito sa atin ay Euro4 3.0L CRDi 110hp @ 280Nm torque from Dmax and Alterra. Imbes na yung old Euro2 2.5L TDi 90hp @ 190Nm of Crosswind, HiLander or Fuego

4 days pa lng ung L300 namin pero ang hina ng aircon maingay pa pati engine maingay na mainit pa sa harap pati pag open and close ng front door latang lata ang dating di tulad ng lumang design para kang nagda drive ng kotse ung bago para ka lng naka jeep na nilagyan ng pinto

U 4got to mentioned the most important and critical upgrade of this work horse van, its engine. The new l300 FB Van is now euro4 engine in conpliance to govt standard, sorry but u mentioned everything about this van which no significant changes in terms of looks or face value the real and big changes is on its engine and u 4got to mentioned it😳😧

I think this is locally manufactured under the Mitsubishi Philippines name. This is a very basic layout. Kung Php 500k lang ito brand new, I will buy one for my business. Otherwise, no thank you hehe!

Ppwede naman din po na magka power window at power lock. But....at an additional cost. At mas fit po marahil sa FB Super Exceed 17 seater at FB Exceed 15 seater. Pero hindi po babagay sa ibang variant 2lad po ng Dropside, Cab and Chassis, PET at delivery van WT and HT series.

Even some utility vehicles have these features po. At hindi narin naman na na maituturing na luxury features sa ngayon di 2lad po noon. To add to it po. Proposals lang naman po ito, a matter of "what if?"

Engine is too detuned for its price. Better buy an L200 FB or a Toyota Hilux FX.
It wasnt meant to run at high speeds!!! Cruising @ 120kph consistently even loaded for this type of vehicle is more than enough
@@PSXBOX-lz1zq Yes I agree, but you must also consider its capacity to haul stuff or people thus needing more torque. There is another application to that engine with much more torque about 280 or 300. Another factor is the price. Hope they also upgraded the brakes, my old one was too weak even unladen.

the design of this vehicle sucks the energy of the driver big time. i know, i used to own one of these before.
It's ok for transporting construction workers and their tools to the site. I wouldn't even think about this as a family van.
I agree that it's a utility van, nothing else. Very basic features, outdated layout, no attention to comfort, and ZERO points for style.

Kung may maaari pa sana maidagdag.....just my ideas:
-power windows and locks for FB bodied models
-4x4 variants to rival Kia K2500 with 4x4 variants too
-4 piece foldable rear bench seat like Isuzu IPV instead of 1 whole long folding rear bench seat for easier and greater flexibility
-rear audio speakers for rear passengers for FB models

@@realVicTorres02 actually the hyundai h100 under the seat is still powered by the legendary non crdi 4d56 turbo and its updated to euro 3 standard. The same thing with the base model grand starex.
Such a poor interior for a vehicle of almost 1 million pesos, not even a cup holder! The L300 may have a more powerful engine but id prefer the new Isuzu Traviz and least the interior is much more modern and inside is where you will spend most of your time if your a driver.
But no aircon?
