Wow I will try to apply this advice moving forward. I think the most important thing you said for me was that its not normal in mid lane to get a bunch of kills b/c of how short the lane is. I think having someone say that its completely normal is liberating. I notice myself thinking I need to be killing my laner, ending their career, forcing aggression and gapping them otherwise I cant carry b/c when I look at top or bottom lane its always one side thats stomping the opponent going 5/0 and I think I need to be doing the same.
Hi coach, love your videos! Around 1:00 and 3:45 you talk about how each champ needs to play the matchup to win the game. Where can we learn more about other matchups like fighter-vs-mage or assasin-vs-mage?
Hey mate! there's a lot of small nuances when it comes to matchup understanding. Most of it is general experience and pattern recognition: so getting in hundreds of games and seeing what works/ doesn't work, in my coaching sessions i will always start of with aligning the views on the matchups. I got a video coming out on Thursday that covers a part of melee vs. range matchups
How to apply this to low elo? If you are playing safe and ending the lane phase 0/0 and 1 item, you will face 10/3 adc or top laner with 2-3 items in mid game.
most of the time as a mid laner theres nothing you can do about it unless you play a heavy roamer but even then not much. All you can do is make yourself as strong as possible and try to set up and get objectives. As long as you are doing your job better than the enemy midlaner you will climb. Sometimes there will be a 10/3 adc smurf on the other team and sometimes the 10/3 adc will be on your team. All you can do is your job and as long as you do that, you will climb.
Our job as a midlaner more often then not is to have priority so you can be the first to move and impact plays. With this priority you can create man advantage plays which you can use to force unfair fights and create advantages. You ability to impact the map is what shines
@@CoachMysterias agree, this is what I see in gold+ games. But I recently had to climb from Iron and the game is completely different there. Every lane was fighting non stop inside of the lane, not on the objective.
@@CoachMysterias more so, maintaining prio and moving was my ticket to flex 2 ranks above my elo. So this is definitely the play for higher ranks. But in iron/bronze I feel completely lost with this playstyle.
This why i dont fw mobas. They give you the options to beat tf out of each other but thats not what you're supposed to do, youre supposed to end the game as fast as possible. What tf is the point if playing if you want it to end as fast as you can.
did you watch the video? none of the advice given was about closing out games more quickly, it's all about how to snowball advantages to create larger and larger gold and xp advantages

@@CoachMysterias +1, this is a great content idea.
best league content for improvement
how do you play then when u don't have pro like Orianna vs Akali ?
You mean prio? Some champs have hard times with wave control so they need to use trades to get that the goal is lane control though
@ prio yes mb ! Ty :)
play for deaths it'll end the game much faster to enter the next one!
ty meow
thumbnail is really clean
Shoutout to @Coach Charlie

@@TheNightWandererTanuki it depends on your team comp. Sometimes you are on a timer, sometimes it's the enemy. It's a part of the strategy.
