Originally released in August 1945 (and nominated for an Academy Award as "Best Cartoon"!). Directed by Connie Rasinski; story by John Foster [and Tom Morrison]; music by Philip A. Scheib. The sexy "gypsy dancing girl" was created for those who wanted to see more of the "dancing harem girl" from "The Sultan's Birthday" (1944) [I believe Carlo Vinci animated her dance]....a variation of her was often featured in Mighty Mouse's cartoons over the next two years.
@Mike King I wished they released all of the Terrytoons Mighty Mouse on dvd. Luckily they included these three on the Ralph Bakshi New Adventures of Mighty Mouse dvd set. You should check it out if you want a physical copy of your own :)
i had this on VHS taped from EP over several copies. it was so washed out the croc was albino and i was sure that's how it was all my life. thank you for having this awesome copy. ;)
It lost to a Tom and Jerry cartoon called Quiet Please. Im not knocking Tom and Jerry but Ive seen way better from them then that one . In my opinion this cartoon should of won hands down that year! Love the songs in this one and a big applause for the animation of the dancing mouse girl!

Batcats. I don't get it.
They're cats, but they fly like bats. :)
Why they made that formation? We'll never know.
I really hate how the gypsy mice have their lips up as they're singing.
I think she's hot too!
Got a problem with that?
