@MiesterDX cemu the wiiu emulator is perfect. The wiiu was xbox360 and PS3 levels of power. I'd give it a shot before knocking it. It's easy to setup everything as well
Great primer. I haven't paid enough attention to the mechanics of TTT2 so activating a Tag Assault was lost on me. Didn't realize it was tied to bounds.
Tag Throws - easily broken at high-level gameplay Tag Assaults - a safer alternative to raw tag-ins, but its main use is to deal high-damage combos and end rounds/matches Tag Buffer - also safer than raw tag-ins, used for combos that deplete recoverable health Tag Crash - THE quickest and usually safest way to tag in, but is at the cost of active character's red health and the cost of being linear (it CAN be sidestepped)
Correction. I'm pretty sure rage comes up when the HP hits a certain point, not when they're hit by a tag combo. You currently had Heihachi as solo, and when you play Solo you activate rage multiple times in a single round once your HP hits certain levels.
I need to get this game, it looks so freaking awesome. The original Tekken Tag is still one of my all time favorite fighters, and I have no doubt this one will be a new fave
Also Max, you should talk in tekken format, left punch=1, right punch=2, left kick =3, right kick=4 and tag=5. It might take some time getting used to it but trust me, it make things more easier to explain.
Another example would be Guile. He's a defensive character in SF. That may translate to giving him some moves that sidestep or generally move him out of the harm's way that have bad start up. The moves would be good to throw out when you're being attacked but too slow to start an offense. I honestly think most of the "classic" moves for the Street Fighters will be juggle only moves.....
I assume the music in the background is from Tekken as you, Max, usually use in game OST's... but I can't help but be reminded of the music from Enter the Dragon. Good shit. Can't wait to rip in to this game.
Between you and Aris I'm pretty covered for TTT2. I'm waitin to hear the differences between Tiger Jackson and Chreddy. I'll pick it up next week.......
Yeah, they'll add moves for all the Sf crew, but those moves will be based on the actual style they use. For all intents and purposes, they really will be "new" characters with a couple of moves from SF. Ryu won't be zoning, Tekken's jumps aren't that high, so say good bye to the air normals 2d fans are used to. They can keep them similar by theory. Make FC 3 or 4 a safe move that has enough frame advantage to do another move. That replaces crouching strong xx fireball for them. That kinda thing
People are going to have to understand that Tag 2 isn't Tekken 7, but meant to be a competitive-oriented endcap release bringing together everything from the six previous games and balancing it as well as possible for pro play. In that regard Tag 2 is a slick package with absolutely no fat or anything that drags it down.
Neither game's art direction should be trashed in favor of the other. They both aim for entirely different results, and within their style, each game is extremely well done and technically sophisticated.
First helpful TT2 video I've seen... Thank you so much. FInally picked up the game and the tag system is really confusing to me. I would like to see a video with more depth. For instance, can tag assaults only be activated through bound attacks? Can you decide to keep your tag partner in the fight during a tag assault, as oppose to switching back to yourr first character, and if so, HOW?! But thank you so much for this video.
Every versus game has its own system of fighting and that's how the developers made it. If your into button bash play DOA. If your into massive combos play UMVC3. If your into classic beat'em up play Street Fighter. If your into studying a huge list of commands play Tekken. And there's something else like Persona 4 Arena, Blazblue, Soulcaliber and Touhou.
After a period all preorder bonusses will be free dlc for everyone. The bonusses include 4 extra characters, 150 bikini costumes and the snoop dogg stage.
I love this game series personally but my money is saved for another fighter coming this month that hasn't been seen on the fighting scene for a good 5-6 years now you know it! DoA 5 babeeee hope to see you on it Max :) psn verison ofc !
Im sorry if my comment is being misunderstood, I have no hate for the Tekken series whatsoever I have a giant Brian Fury wall scroll in my living room, I just tried to express that I understand can understand why some gamers ARE NOT giving Tag 2 a chance, I've been waiting more than a decade to be able to play as Jun Kazama again in a current Tekken game.(Asuka is a pale imitation)
If your going to open any lobbies I'm down for psn play. Will have the game later today. Was a big Tekken player but I haven't played as much lately and trying to get back in the game with TTT2. Let's Go
Thanks. After 1000h of Tekken 7 is really funny and refreshing to try Tekken Tag 2 and the tag assault system. I am already wishing that Tekken 8 adds modes with tag or at least tag assault in the combos, even Just on practice mode and friendly matches will be all right. But I guess that's too much work, therefore they are never going to do it😢😭
Yeah, but I'm really interested to see how Ryu would perform a juggle. I'm guessing they would have to make up additional moves for him? Or maybe it'll one of those cases where the juggle is performed by repeating the same moves over and over again.
I don't think they're very far in development. They probably had their hands full with TTT2. I'm just curious to see what they do with the SF cast. The distance game in Tekken and Street Fighter are completely different. The plus side though, a lot of the Street Fighters are supposed to fight with real fighting styles and Namco is really good at fleshing that out. The original SF2 cast should fit right in.
The difference is that Tekken Tag 2 have been out for an entire year, in Japanese arcades. If anything was broken, it would most likely have been found and fixed already.
Nope. The input for the launchers are usually pretty simple though, so it will mostly come down to input memorization and timing to get these combos going.
unlike sfxt this game had over a year to be ironed out in arcades any or most glitches or gameplay balance issues have probably been resolved by this point
I understand why people are giving Tag 2 so much disrespect, I mean the first Tag was a brand new engine on a relatively new console so it was big technology leap, while Tag 2 uses the exact same engine as the T6 and the tag mechanics are almost, I reiterate almost, exactly the same as its predecessor so Tag 2 seems kinda stale in comparison.
well if you're speaking from the overall perspective of the FGC, then i can understand why you said that, but i think Persona will still do ok since it's already an established series.
max said he never understood t6 unlike you hes a good sport who doesn't bad mouth through the safety of his monitor all hes doing is providing perliminary info for those who don't know much on tag 2 is that so wrong?
10 years later, you're still helping new players. Thanks Man.
fr this game is still so much fun
That's true, I just downloaded this game to my ps3
good job Max - got a few Tekken Tag 2 videos going up tomorrow morning
Better explained than the half assed tutorial
I miss this game. It's really good, quick and brutal but good.
You can still play the game
Cemu holds it together pretty well I recommend
@@Moooniemoon bro ain't nobody finna play tekken on the Wii U of all things💀
@MiesterDX cemu the wiiu emulator is perfect. The wiiu was xbox360 and PS3 levels of power. I'd give it a shot before knocking it. It's easy to setup everything as well
@@Moooniemoon I agree bro I installed Wii U edition and I am having a blast ;)
Love the positives and negatives at the bottom, that really helps understand the benefits and dangers better. Great work Max.
Great primer. I haven't paid enough attention to the mechanics of TTT2 so activating a Tag Assault was lost on me. Didn't realize it was tied to bounds.

Tekken tag for ps2 was the 1st and only tekken game ive ever played. Im looking forward to picking this up later
Thanks Max. This is the only part I was trying to figure out. OMG The endless combo possibilities
Watching Max finally playing Tekken and actually doing legit combos is a dream come true !!! VIDEOGAMES
There's more variety, combo-wise and game-wise, in TTT2 than in UMVC3, so TTT2's your best bet.
Im pretty good at Tekken 7 myself by whew, this game has so many damn intricacies I never knew back then
Correction. I'm pretty sure rage comes up when the HP hits a certain point, not when they're hit by a tag combo. You currently had Heihachi as solo, and when you play Solo you activate rage multiple times in a single round once your HP hits certain levels.

Mechanic that is usually induced by low health. A character that has rage will attack for slightly more damage. Indicated by the glowing health bar.
Also Max, you should talk in tekken format, left punch=1, right punch=2, left kick =3, right kick=4 and tag=5. It might take some time getting used to it but trust me, it make things more easier to explain.
thanks Max for breaking it down like that...never fully understood tag assault
Pretty good news Max and great info about the game mechanics. Til next time, and I'll see you later.
thank you so much max, I am off to the TT2 launch party in sydney and wanted to know the tag assault! Wish me luck !!
Very helpful stuff max, would love to see more of these :)
Watching that crowd near the end slide along the ground is... hilarious. Welcome to 2012
This is a fast and clear explanation of the tag system, thanks!
RIP street fighter x tekken...you will no longer be thought of now that this work of art has been released.
Another example would be Guile. He's a defensive character in SF. That may translate to giving him some moves that sidestep or generally move him out of the harm's way that have bad start up. Yes I would like to see alot of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on your channel Max :)
Oh Mah GAWD VIDEOGAMES! i'm so hyped for this game you have no idea. i may get it friday
Can't wait to see the open lobby video!
WHAT AN AMAZING GAME. I will be playing this for years every day until Tekken X SF!!!
CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!
Game comes out tomorrow getting it. bought it last week
Very helpful, looking forward to getting this soon.
Omg thank you so much Max I needed this video :) can't wait to play this later
I assume the music in the background is from Tekken as you, Max, usually use in game OST's... but I can't help but be reminded of the music from Enter the Dragon. Good shit. Can't wait to rip in to this game.
@SuperiorWare It's cute to see you struggle at trying to be threatening when you're really not.
Welcome to Tekken Max, hope you stay for awhile :p
Between you and Aris I'm pretty covered for TTT2. I'm waitin to hear the differences between Tiger Jackson and Chreddy. I'll pick it up next week.......
Good stuff Max I wasn't aware of this stuff before or rather really how to do it! Come on Gamestop hurry up and open!!!
lol this is going to be the fourth game I am going to buy due to Max's videos.

Wow Max you're really a quick learner when it comes to VIDEOGAMES huh? You've improved alot since the stream you did with machinima.
Neither game's art direction should be trashed in favor of the other. They both aim for entirely different results, and within their style, each game is extremely well done and technically sophisticated.

Thx for giving me some tips Max, I maybe mostly a SF player alot..but I WILL get to learn this game one way or another! ^^
nice video, looking forward for more vids on TTT2

Yea this feel just like TTT1. The newest/old thing is the tag air juggle system.
And here I thought you only Capcom games, good thing I didn't unsubscribed to you.
After a period all preorder bonusses will be free dlc for everyone. The bonusses include 4 extra characters, 150 bikini costumes and the snoop dogg stage.
Great video as always. I can't wait to try tekken again, mine's still somewhere in the mail );
great tutorial quick n' clean and to the point
Great Vid as always. Keep up the good work.
This game is gonna be great!
I love this game series personally but my money is saved for another fighter coming this month that hasn't been seen on the fighting scene for a good 5-6 years now you know it! DoA 5 babeeee hope to see you on it Max :) psn verison ofc !
My body is so goddamn ready for these videos.
Damn my tight purse-strings.
Whoa! Awesome tips man! Thanks for the vid!
It's going to drive me nuts today at work waiting to get off so I can go pick this up
Sooner or later a Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Online Warrior will be made since this is a new fighting game.
Yes yes, let the Capcom bash begin...
max .... Welcome to the Iron Fist Tournament
Get Ready For The Next Battle
Yeah so I like how you haven't been playing this game at all. Or at least haven't been posting videos about it. What's the deal, man.
already out here in the PH!
once the life of one of your characters is really low rage activates. its essentially a strength boost
Yes Max!! yes!!!! More!!

SO GETTING THIS.

Awwww slow motion makes the game look even more awesome.
thanks there were so many stuff I didn't know
Lets get ready for the next battle, ladies and gents!
Getting this is 6 hours. CANT...WAIT....
Max sure doesn't waste time. I like that. :)
I don't think they're very far in development. They probably had their hands full with TTT2. I'm just curious to see what they do with the SF cast. the game looks really decent.. after I get the games I'm after this month.. I'll definitely pick this up :)
Great tt2 tutorial
The difference is that Tekken Tag 2 have been out for an entire year, in Japanese arcades. If anything was broken, it would most likely have been found and fixed already.
Max will you be making more TTT2 tutorials/instructional/beginner's videos? If not, please do!
Nope. The input for the launchers are usually pretty simple though, so it will mostly come down to input memorization and timing to get these combos going.
This game is beast lol cant wait till it comes out XD
how do u do a tag button on the ps3?
unlike sfxt this game had over a year to be ironed out in arcades any or most glitches or gameplay balance issues have probably been resolved by this point
Hey Max! I see you using Lars now! The real way :) Cheers. Looking forward for the videos.
Looks like we got a badass over here...
Can't wait i need to get this also what system is max or anyone is getting cause i hope to have some matches myself.
Well, SFxT was never thought of to begin with.
I can bet you it will, but almost any game does when it's first released
It's just a mode that makes your damage go up a bit. It came with T6
Cant wait to go pick up my copy in 2 hours. :)
You're never resigned to play one fighting game.
Look at Justin Wong: SSFIV, SFxT, MvC3 AND TTT2.
well if you're speaking from the overall perspective of the FGC, then i can understand why you said that, but i think Persona will still do ok since it's already an established series.
It's not a tomb, son.
It's a pit. A deep, dark pit which it lacks the strength to crawl out of.
Gonna be hard to resist this game when i pick up my check tomorrow ;-;
max doing lars combos
max said he never understood t6 unlike you hes a good sport who doesn't bad mouth through the safety of his monitor all hes doing is providing perliminary info for those who don't know much on tag 2 is that so wrong?
I don't think any gamestops are doing midnight releases. I know there are a lot of store on the West Coast that will break street date though.
Huh, something to watch while it's installing.
