- MasterChef Canada S03 E13 Full Episode: The final four remaining cooks were surprised in the kitchen by their families, who joined them for a trip to Toronto's St. Lawrence Market where they purchased they ingredients they would be cooking with. The judges declared Mary's dish the best of the challenge, and she automatically advanced to the Top 3.- Subscribe: / masterchefworld
After bidding goodbyes to their families, Jeremy, Matthew and Veronica donned on their black aprons to face the pressure test. They were tasked with recreating three sea scallop dishes: a trio of scallops served with pea pureé, a Coquilles Saint-Jacques and a raw scallop crudo. They were had to open the sea scallops straight from the shell, and were given only the exact number of sea scallops required to replicate all three dishes. Jeremy made the best dishes, leaving Matthew and Veronica in the bottom, and Veronica was sent home.

Mary vs the asians at this point

To me, contestant-wise, this Season is the best one in Masterchef Canada. 1. All 4 of these contestants were really strong and deserved to be the winner, no one single-handedly dominated; 2.There were some intense rivalry between these 4 throughout the competition till the end; 3. All the other homecooks also showed lots of creativity and had shining moments; 4. And of course, many of them had amazing personalities. I really enjoyed watching all of them ❤
True. I love Eric but he had basically no competition in his season other than himself.
I would love to see an all-stars season and bring back at least all finalists from each season and see how they do against each other. Would be an extremely close competition.
And friendly too cuz its Canada lol.
Not just that, but they all respected each other and didn't engage in catty drama after Episode 3.
For me personally season 2 was slightly better... but i agree, this was spectacular as well.
I love the friendly competition. It’s heated and intense, but it’s not hateful and vindictive.

interesting how the chefs interact with their families and loved ones. You can see why they developed the personalities that they have
" I only make butter for the people that I love" , that is so me, its truly different making something as simple as butter but specifically for your loved ones, and thats exactly why Mary is my favorite and till this day i look up to her as an aspiring Pastry Chef ❤❤❤

Honestly, the fact mary won this one confuses me. It should have been Matthew or Jeremy. Mary sticks to food shes familiar with and her dish wasn't super technical. I mean yeah she made butter but thats the only thing.
She takes classics and gives them a modern twist, which I think is a pretty good skill.

Veronica was the best cook this season, she had the most unique and impressive dishes. She deserved to be the winner, not Mary
Mary deserved to win and she did, you can’t say she “didn’t deserve it” since she was just as deserving and clearly better - Mary was very consistent and most of the contestants recognized that, and Veronica was very good too so it’s kind of unfair to say that Mary wasn’t “deserving” of being the winner. Also I don’t really see Veronica getting out of her comfort zone much tbh whereas Mary even cooks meat perfectly and doesn’t even eat it lmao, I do think Veronica is talented but I just think Mary did it better

I really wanted Veronica to win.
veronica from hongkong. and hongkong people or people around that area like guangdong etc, they usually struggle with basic seasoning like salt and pepper, because their food is mellow and on the mild side of taste. In my book it's a bit bland.
That's same as saying that some culinary traditions have no concept of how to really use spices but drown everything in salt, spices and chili.
"Bland" food requires same balance and control, maybe even more because you can't hide any flaws behind spices.
@@Jay_Kay666 i absolutely meant that. some culinary traditions like japanese, hongkong, and taiwan their seasoning is very mild. Because i think they focus more on the actual taste of the main product/protein. Compared to culinary traditions like morroco, turkey, indonesia, spain. i think these countries season their food aggresively and got that bold flavor which i prefer tbh.
@@Jay_Kay666as someone from Hong Kong I agree- our palette is more accustomed to blander foods. I was horrified when I found out that the really native folk eat stir fried veggies without even garlic and salt as flavouring

claudio has had a vendetta against veronica from the moment she said making pasta isn't difficult and you can see it in their interaction every time he tastes her food like he's always extra salty towards her for no reason,
She was always too arrogant and conceited. It's not Claudio's fault that She didn't deliver.. In this episode she specifically didn't do well!
