You can see that this game is his favorite RE, he's playing it with passion, taking his time and exploring it even if it's the 16547487645th time he's played it.
Its always fun to play this game, cause depending at the way that you play it you will get different cutscenes, enemies, ending! Overall, this game is the best of the original trilogy!
This Resident Evil 3 I feel like was ahead of its time. The music, atmosphere, new game mechanics beautiful blend. I heard they rushed this too but Capcom got it right
Back in those days they could accomplish more with a small team because the industry was in such a sweet spot, teetering on the edge of expansion. Adding in alternate story paths and a mercenary mode was no biggy back then. Including those features in the remake however requires thousands of employees and countless millions of dollars/yen, not to mention the extra time. That’s why the suits at Capcom were so willing to scrap it. They already knew they had their pre-order data telling them that people were buying the remake regardless 🤷🏻♂️. The same thing’s happening with blockbuster movies, kinda. They’ve become too expensive to make, so there’s no room for taking creative chances so we get formulaic forgettable junk
So true bro, is really disappointing remake. Will remain a huge regret after seeing amazing work with RE2 (albeit they messed up the scenarios) that's what they failed to do with 3 really a shame! This is tragic for me 😕RIP. It's been 1 year, but I'm still sick!
Same. For me it's a 3 way tie Between Re3, Donkey Kong Country, and Halo 3. I literally beaten those 3 hundreds of times and will never get tired of playing them
@@AM-tl7sq I was really hoping the 2 and 3 remakes would be done like REmake, of course that was wishful thinking back when it came out in the early 2000’s. I figured the longer it took the more ‘modernized’ it would become. So whereas I did enjoy the RE2r, it didn’t have the same replay ability as the original series period. I beat it a few times and haven’t played it since....I still play the originals, especially the awesome mods people are making for them!
What’s sad about the remake is that it was our only chance for a decent remake for a very long time. There’s no way we’ll be getting a proper remake for at least 20 more years.
i think re4 might aim to be close to the original. capcom need to listen to the fans. remake 2 wasnt too bad but 3 didnt have the atmosphere and difficulty that the original. a resident evil game should not be easy. a trailer for a game is the same as a movie.

Not only is this my favorite Resident Evil game, its also my favorite game I've ever played. It really crushed my soul with the direction the remake took.

One of the best survival horror games ever made and my all-time favorite RE game, it's not perfect, but I don't care, I enjoy both it's flaws and it's many hits, I really enjoyed your review/gameplay Bawk.
RE3 is the pinnacle of The Sony RE's. Intense action, horror & gore. Lots of jumpscares & an awesome ammo making system. Wish Capcom had done it justice...
This is also my favorite in the series. How is it that this game, which was originally a side story, short as heck, with a janky dodge mechanic, so flipping good?

Regarding 7:30 , this is also my favorite save theme but I don't quite see it as being about Jill, but rather the city itself. It gives the impression that while there might be hope for you, the protagonist, the city is doomed no matter what anyone tries to do. Regardless of if you know you're going to see it at the end yourself, you can feel that the city is ticking down until the bomb finally drops, akin to someone in hospice coming to terms with their own end. It's almost like a requiem for Raccoon City, with a twinge of hope that Jill will be able to make it out and settle accounts for all the people who couldn't. I'm probably being a little too pseudo-poetic in my description, but that might be because I do have a soft spot for this game as well and the soundtrack does a good job of really making you feel the atmosphere.

I remember as a kid playing with my dad beating OP nemesis at the clock tower, we used to play it together and he struggled at that part where I did it first try... I must’ve been 7 or 8 at the time 😂😂
2:04 Best RE intro ever! Also one of the zombies matches David's attire. In my mind, I'm thinking this might be David if he really died in Raccoon City.
I was looking forward to watch you play this on stream but I had to babysit my cousin and he stick with me like a glue. I tried to watch you but he just keep asking question. Now I can watch in peace. I'm crying right now

If only the remake was given the attention RE 2 R had things wouldve been different. I don't watch twitch so I'm wondering if bawk played outbreak already for this marathon.
Really digging these marathon runs. Always been a Resident Evil fan and you are an awesome streamer and very entertaining. I think everyone has a gripe with RE3R is because of how great we all thought it was going to be after RE2R. It almost didn’t seem like a RE game or have the same atmosphere of the original RE3 and it was completely cut in so many ways.
Been watching the videos as they've been uploaded. Seeing Bawk with a time on RE 3 over 3 hours is a shock to me, and in general, so used to watching the speed run route.
While watching the segment in the STARS office, and seeing the chat question the number of desks, something interesting occurred to me-- RE3 is set three months after the mansion incident, in which half of the STARS members died. It could be possible that Irons got rid of the extra desks that were now just taking up space.
Just like in real life, STARS is on separate shifts. For example. Weskers desk, is also Marini's desk. When Bravo team is on duty. Chris's desk is also forest desk. The only time they'd meet is during shift change and if the off duty team was called in to support.
The thing about RE3 (and I say it as someone who got properly introduced to the series via RE3) is that it's a spin-off game that Capcom was forced to brand as third installment in the series. Capcom was locked in a contract with Sony and Sony wanted Resident Evil 3, while Capcom wanted Code Veronica to be the proper sequel (as evidenced by the fact that CVX takes place after RE2 and follows up on Chris and Claire, while RE3 is a midquel that follows just 1 established character). This is why Capcom should've remade CVX and released it on all platforms instead of remaking RE3 and RE3 should've been remade sometime down the line in a RE1/RE0 HD style.
About Marvin "corpse" on the floor, i agree, in PS1 european version, you can see him and the comment is something like "that man is nearly dead", and there is no more interraction.
I actually like the design of the final Nemi in this game. I wouldve loved to have seen a larger, more grotesque version in the remake. I sort of thought the remake Nemi was obnoxiously large, like, took up the entire wall? Really enjoyed this full playthrough. Looking forward to the other ones!
2:46 Got to love the way the zombies all got a lift together to surprise these two Also, where do all the other STARS members sit? Rebecca got a table? I bet that annoyed all the non rookies
Rebecca has a desk next to the comms unit marked by the first aid box. You'll notice all the desks are occupied by all surviving stars members - Rebecca, Jill, Chris, Barry and - unbeknownst to the rpd - wesker! My theory is all the surviving members moved in their personal belongings onto the available desks after the mansion incident but before they were officially disbanded given the fact everyone else was dead. They simply left weskers desk vacant but I like to think Barry Burton was the de facto leader during the reshuffle and eventual dissembling of stars.
Yeah that scene where you choose to blow up the kitchen really solidified it in my mind as a kid how incredible this way, and what a labor of love for the team at capcom. There didnt feel like ANYTHING with that touch in the remake :(
The main reason Re3 Remake is better than the original is in the original if Jill falls down she won't stand up. She just twitches there not doing anything.
To help those who may not know this and to help with lore. When Jill is blown out of her apartment complex, Leon and Clair aren't even in or near the city at that time. Leon is on his way as well as Clair but I think they don't show up until around shortly after Jill makes her way through the RPD her self, which is like a day after the initial outbreak.
My favorite Resident Evil game, one of my favorite games of all time, from my favorite series of all time, including my favorite character of all time. That is a pretty sick combination for a game.
I've been watching this on and off all week in between breaks, this 100% the best way to play resident evil - stop and smell the roses. Also to all the haters about his criticism towards re3 remake, this man is dead right to critique it. It was an abomination that only kids from the 90s would understand. Bird up snowflakes!
06:15 I used to have a version on my ps1, where there was an added bit of dialogue where at the end he spoke in a really low, evil sounding voice which said "now just get away from me", is that on a specific version?
I don't like playing the fixed camera games (even when the games originally released I did not like it) but watching these playthrough is quite nice. I understand better all the content that was unfortunately removed from the remake (which I personnally enjoyed, in particular for the great characters) now
Gotta heavy disagree about Mikhail being way better in the remake, and it's literally all because of how he goes out in the REmake. I REALLY hate the 'Get off my train, shitbird' line lol
This is my second favorite RE game after the OG second one.. It's completely insane what they did with the remake. 1 year has passed since it was released, and I still can't believe it, one of the worst RE I've ever played.. Btw, loveeeee the chat comments, I'll say it one million times 🤣🤣🤣
1:02:11 "It looks like there was a recent accident here" - This inspection text doesn't make any sense, since Jill already known what's going on. This could only fit into Leon and Claire role because they aren't aware of what happened in Racoon City. 1:16:01 There should have a worker's corpse leaning against the iron fence, guess this is only visible on the PC version.
4:55, once I heard this. Yes, Bawk knows what he’s talking about. Darios voice is SO good. And it was all ruined in the remake. So sad. 6:18 why didn’t he say “just get away from me” after saying “never” ?
I thought I was going crazy because I could've sworn he said that in the game I played way back then. I'm guessing it's because this is the PC version and not the original PS1? Also, the way he says "just get away from me" sounded so freaking cool.
@@ma5tertonberry NTSC copies. Non PAL. And yes that piece of dialogue is great. Played it yesterday on my modded psone classic and he said it. Even can do high res so it looks great and runs super fast.
@@pppupu936 that's awesome. watching these story playthroughs of bawk makes me want to replay them with the modded upscaled textures. It looks really good and super fun
@@ma5tertonberry it is, the playability of RE3 Original is amazing. The powders are mostly the reason, all handgun, all Shotgun, all Grenade rounds and type specific. It’s great.
Looking back just how much detail they were able to pack in to this game and all the cool wrecks and people who worked around the city etc. So awesome the old RE team was absolutely amazing man. This is why RE3 is my all time favorite video game. Better then anything else that has been made imo. I always wonder why Bawk doesn't just kill Nemi in kitchen with Carlos? It's like one of my favorite parts, letting Carlos take the an ass whoopin while I shoot his ass from behind 😂
If you go read the comic for RE3 it shows and tell you what happens to Dario's family for the game. He's a coward and left his family to die and eatten alive by the undead. I think his wife trips and hurts her ankel and his little girl is screaming for help and trying to help her as the dead close in on them. But hes at the door to scared to go save them. The coward shuts the door on his fammliy and hears the screams from them as they are eatten alive and dose nothing about it. Dario got what he deserved in the game. Its from the comic chain did. is the series of Hong Kong. Hope you see it tho not sure how to tag someone on here lol
47:31 I used to own the Dreamcast version of this & If I remember correctly from my childhood, there's a female zombie in the park that shows the whole Zomboob If anyone has the DC version let me know if I'm right or not. I might be thinking about the RE3 Novel but I swear I seen it
@@Bawkbasoup Gotta go with Leon then for the non-stop Simmons fights in the last third of the game, and none of them are interesting except for the fight on the skyscraper bridge with Ada. Seriously though, I think each campaign had some really cool segments as well as dreadful ones.

This is why Capcom should've remade CVX and released it on all platforms instead of remaking RE3 and RE3 should've been remade sometime down the line in a RE1/RE0 HD style.
Great job on this story playthroughs Bawk, I really enjoy the more relaxed vibe to them, keep it up!
About Marvin "corpse" on the floor, i agree, in PS1 european version, you can see him and the comment is something like "that man is nearly dead", and there is no more interraction.
Nice! Resident Evil 3 was my favorite one always! I had purchased its CD soundtrack immediately.
2:46 Got to love the way the zombies all got a lift together to surprise these two
Also, where do all the other STARS members sit? Rebecca got a table? I bet that annoyed all the non rookies
Rebecca has a desk next to the comms unit marked by the first aid box.
You'll notice all the desks are occupied by all surviving stars members - Rebecca, Jill, Chris, Barry and - unbeknownst to the rpd - wesker!
My theory is all the surviving members moved in their personal belongings onto the available desks after the mansion incident but before they were officially disbanded given the fact everyone else was dead.
They simply left weskers desk vacant but I like to think Barry Burton was the de facto leader during the reshuffle and eventual dissembling of stars.
seamless HD is so good..def worth playing again if anyone considering
Yeah that scene where you choose to blow up the kitchen really solidified it in my mind as a kid how incredible this way, and what a labor of love for the team at capcom. There didnt feel like ANYTHING with that touch in the remake :(
The main reason Re3 Remake is better than the original is in the original if Jill falls down she won't stand up. She just twitches there not doing anything.
Bawk I love your videos. Greetings from Brazil. We love the RE trilogy.
I love Bawk’s reviews on things he right almost 100% of the times. he’ll make you rethink why you like or don’t like something 😂
@@blvk3 yeah I just went back and refreshed my knowledge and you're correct.
My favorite Resident Evil game, one of my favorite games of all time, from my favorite series of all time, including my favorite character of all time.
That is a pretty sick combination for a game.
never played this game before, and this was amazing commentary & playthrough overall. kudos!
I can't remember when i started playing RE3, but I was very young, but I never read the manual, I guess I learned as I played bc hence I hate reading
Amazing. Love this format
U got insane graphics , so clear
It's an HD mod for the dolphin emulator! If you have a PC, you could play it too (:
@@idiot308 can u use that hd mode in any game ?
@@rocketqueen7355 nope only on resident evil 2 and 3, but some other games have fanmade hd mods too so it's worth looking out for some
love this game so much
Sameeeeee :)
I loved this game as a kid . On easy mode I was Arnold Schwarzenegger. On hard I was fukin scared to death.
I just realized I have this game and Dino Crisis 2 on my Emulator Console. I started playing them because of you
No exceptions, no arguments, this is the best game ever.
4:10 gave me the depressing thought that nemmy drops could've been improved in the remake by having drops for Carlos also.
06:15 I used to have a version on my ps1, where there was an added bit of dialogue where at the end he spoke in a really low, evil sounding voice which said "now just get away from me", is that on a specific version?
Been playing my PSOne version again recently and would like the answer to this question too!
Oh hey I remember that part too! Weird that didn’t play!
i have played this game countless times, and never realised you could shoot the hanging crate loool
Clock puzzle is a math.
crystal=1, obsidian=2, amber=3
L clock=back x1, mid clock=forward x1, R clock=forward x2
Yeah what I love about OG RE3 is Nemesis chasing you down the narrow alleyway...oh and tons of stuff when you beat him
I don't like playing the fixed camera games (even when the games originally released I did not like it) but watching these playthrough is quite nice. I understand better all the content that was unfortunately removed from the remake (which I personnally enjoyed, in particular for the great characters) now
Ironic that my favorite re game ever was remade to be one of my least favoured games ever made
smurf bawk is the best! getting surprised on every jumpscare in the game🤣🤣
2:14:53 Nicholai’s team must’ve scored . He was watching footie on the telly in the corner of the pharmacy ⚽️
Man, Jill doing Caleb reloads with that quickshot.
The powders are mostly the reason, all handgun, all
Shotgun, all Grenade rounds and type specific. It’s great.
I love this game and the seamless mod really makes it look amazing
cant believe how nice the seamless hd is, so many background details easily overlooked on the ps1 version.
also the drops are as follows from nemy, eagle a, eagle b, 1st aid kit 1, 1st aid kit 2, western shotgun a, western shotgun b, assault rifle.
What Emulator do you use for most of your RE2 and RE3 speedruns/gameplays?
i think dolphin emulator
47:31 I used to own the Dreamcast version of this & If I remember correctly from my childhood, there's a female zombie in the park that shows the whole Zomboob
If anyone has the DC version let me know if I'm right or not. I might be thinking about the RE3 Novel but I swear I seen it
I love this game brother it never gets old this game is awesome 😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥
Hey bawk I’m interested to know. Can or do you play claw style on controller?
Love the vids!
I am very happy to say I now have my two favorites of the franchise. I have Biohazard 2 and 3.
OMG 2:11:35 Dr.Bart in the background xD Did they take inspiration from the Adravil ad for Doctor Bard in the remake?
Bawk is adorable!
5:15:47 I was just wondering about that the other day lol. Thanks yo. You bastard!
So are you also gonna do all Campaigns in RE6?
Probably not all campaigns
@@Bawkbasoup Gotta go with Leon then for the non-stop Simmons fights in the last third of the game, and none of them are interesting except for the fight on the skyscraper bridge with Ada. Seriously though, I think each campaign had some really cool segments as well as dreadful ones.
I have to give you my compliments because I thought nobody could stay in between me and RE without being annoying.
So true about the gunpowder thing I accidentially made the wrong ammo a few times on my first few plays
@Bawkbasoup Is there any info on the RE 1 Seamless HD? Is there project still in the works?
your resident evil videos, i look forward to, good stuff
