I wish they would have included a different set of "non-action-pose" hands so that he could rest his hands and look normal, BUT I found that you can cross them over one another (his left hand over his right) and if you play with it a bit, it looks like a nice neutral pose. Totally acceptable trade off for me. I personally LOVE this figure and am super glad I was able to get one. If you're a Prof X fan, this one is a must have! I'd give it an easy 9/10
I used the hands from the Monster Venom for my Shadow King. It may not be in correct proportion, but repainted to that chalky gray, it looks fantastic.
For me its a nice figure but i want a better quality at the $50 price tag especially in the chair. Not sure when they'll ever have another xavier so its almost a must buy.
I think you might be able to swap the left hand with the regular hand for the mic Klaw.... of course it’s going to have lines in it, but it might work..
The seam line, and mottling of the plastic chair bother me. I am going to use some putty to fill the seam, sand it, and repaint the chair gold when I get it. I may add a dark orange wash for the vents so the paneling will pop more.
The arms fall short on all marvel legends when you have them forward and straight up. It’s the placement of the shoulder. It’s too low which is at anatomically incorrect. It’s very apparent when you point the arm straight up. Hasbro needs to shorten the width of the trapezius and raise the shoulder joints higher and lengthen the arms. Look at the difference in the placement of the shoulder and butterfly joints on your Mafex Spider-Man and Venom. The joints are placed in the anatomically correct position. When u lift the arms to front and straight up they are at the appropriate length. basically his arms are too short that’s why his arms look funny in the chair. This is the case with all ML figures. They appear correct with the arms down because the shoulders are placed too low.
I completely see why you mention this observation. However through out the comic runs there are times that he is written as regaining the ability to walk. Also I can place him in the Astros realm battling the villains with Dr Strange while being able to see him without his disabilities of the real world.

Not true to the source material. It specifically goes against it. Wow, #notmyxavier #notmyhasbro

I kind of want a 90's cartoon version of the chair, Where the frony is sort of a sloping door stop wedge shape

Cool. I have seen other reviews of this, but I always like your take, the little things you pick up on like the hand pose an the uneven jacket.
Finally, a good figure of one of the most dangerous mutants of all time.
Will buy it when it goes on sale!
“It’s ugly but it’s lovely.”
I agree the chair should be much bigger
They just put up a preorder on BBTS and other sites for a reissue of this figure, so I came straight here lol

That effect piece is awful... I can totally see some people with a dirty mind like myself using it to represent something nasty, lol.
Lol someone already did that! I can’t remember who it was though.
Loooooove'em! Both sets.

I want one based on the house of x version
Is this worth 65usd?
Mine on the way
I find it ironic that a figure of Prof. X, a character that cannot walk, has fully articulated feet. Still, it looks really great.
