Naito ruined the IC which could've given opportunities to so many other people on the roster like Osprey or Sanada or ZSJ and if he wins the US title he'd just bring it down which might be his true character, he craves the title, the spot light but once he gets it, it means little to him, naito enjoys the chase he's a great hunter but he's a terrible defender

Naito hated the IC title because he thought there shouldn't be a 2nd heavyweight title. He thought it should just be one champion and those who aren't. He probably only tolerates the US title because it's got it's own niche, so yeah he probably would get rid of it if he could too.
I fully agree with Will. If Naito wins the US Title he just gonna demote it and make it worthless just like how he did it with the IC Title. To Naito all he cares about is Tokyo Dome and not the prestige and honour of having a world title
I'd argue Jericho keeping the IC belt hostage for 5-6 months before his first title defense soured its value worse than anything Naito did, and this is coming from someone who's a huge fan of Jericho lol.
Please bring back the Intercontinental Title. The office had zero clue, how much that belt meant to people. They can then ensure that the World Heavyweight Championship is a continuation of the Heavyweight Belt, keeping the lineage undisturbed.
