Usually wash smaller loads on gentle agitation, just trying to show every wash and spin speed combination as much as possible. Just trying to come up with as many ideas until the Whirlpool is up and running again. Going to have to transplant consoles on from a Mark 18 set a friend parted out, literally have done everything possible to get that timer working and so far, none of the attempts seemed to have been successful. Literally have invested 20+ hours of time into that timer and so far haven’t gotten anywhere.
Tried tweaking the contact, worked but would spin and agitate at the same time, none of the plungers on the control magnet assembly aka wig wag were broken, just the spin solenoid would get power. When the contact was tweaked the other way, wouldn’t spin at all. As mentioned in the email, the Controls Corporation timers weren’t as good as the Mallory timers of the era. My Kenmore compact belt drive has the Mallory timer in it, still working, only issue/idiosyncrasy is the spray rinse stays on for a solid 2 minutes but that’s about it with that timer. Definitely more beefed up than the timer in my Whirlpool that’s for sure.
Oh, that one. I rescheduled it to be uploaded sometime in May next year. Trying to be as consistent as possible with the uploads, accidentally uploaded 2 videos today, just rescheduled it to be uploaded at a different time. Been uploading 2 videos a week starting this August, but am going to revert back to a video a week starting August of 2025. Just am releasing 1 to 2 videos a week, just trying to be ahead for the future. Usually record 2 to 3 videos a week behind the scenes.
Update: The video of the medium load of sheets will be released next August. Tried uploading 2 videos a week, but am reverting back to a video a week since it’s beginning to be a little overwhelming uploading 2 videos a week, even if everything is recorded in advance. Want to be consistent, but don’t want to bore anyone out.
Look at my friend Mr. Maytag doing its job washing
@@erg844 it’ll always do it’s job since a Maytag.
@seana806 Dependable and durable
Wow, sounds like a old speed queen smacking the water.
Long stroke machines usually have brisk agitation.
Needed a bit more water and gentle agitation on that one. Hopefully the shirts survived the Norge-esque beating, lol.

@@seana806 No luck putting more tension on that contact?

There is something wrong with the agitator when the machine starts to spin
7:46-7:49
@@JonathanChow180 the brake spring is unwinding. Some Maytags do this, others don’t.
It's like it wanted to keep washing but the drum wanted to spin lol
@@seana806 I see…
Sean on your other video with the sheets it won't allow comments.
Was it a video I uploaded earlier, or was it awhile back?
@@seana806 the one you just uploaded with the sheets, medium load
