- this was such a random vlog lol, I had a tough couple of weeks but here's what went down in the last week! I'm probably going to do a home haul for my next video bc I bought so much new stuff for the house, so that'll be next! If you have any questions about sedation dentistry let me know and i'll talk about that too... Just didn't wanna talk about it at length in the video if no one cares lol.

Use Essential Peppermint oil in your diffuser to get rid of mosquitos and any other flying creature. They do not like peppermint scents.
Literally while working I had one in my room and I got the diffuser and even put some on myself too it worked I will say until the third day I finally killed it

That Happy light works miracles. My husband uses it in the winter, we are in Massachusetts and it gets dark at like 4:00 in the winter and he definetley gets some seasonal depression. It has helped him tremendously. Happy you got rid of your tooth pain! Xoxo

I have been a viewer for years and I am actually an Endodontist/ Root canal treatment specialist. So glad to hear the pain is gone! I wanted to answer a question you had regarding post treatment. So after a Root canal treatment is done, a crown is always recommended in posterior teeth, so all the teeth after the canines. The reasons are a few. First, if a tooth needs a root canal treament done due to a deep cavity or decay that tooth has lost a lot of tooth structure due to the decay and the Dr has to make sure that the tooth is completely free of decay and remove all that tissue. Secondly, posterior teeth have the greatest force of mastication and that tooth besides already not having enough tooth structure as before, it now also does not have the nerve. When the root canal treatment is done, the nerve is removed because the infection from the decay reached the nerve and that is why it hurts. Once the nerve is removed you will not have sensation to cold heat or bite on the tooth. So if you eat something hard you might not recognize it and the tooth could fracture. That is why a crown is always recommended on posterior teeth after a root canal treatment.
I have a question. I got my wisdom tooth extracted in November and I still cannot open my jaw. I need a root canal, I had an infection but went away with antibiotics. I have a appointment on Friday for a root canal but I’m afraid my jaw will get more injured due to having to have my jaw open. Do you recommend I go through with the root canal? It will be local anesthesia. I’m not sure why my jaw hasn’t healed, might be TMJ or Arthritis.

If it’s available, get yourself a snake plant and put it in your room. It has air purifying properties and it’s hard to die!. I love it!
Also, for the mosquito, get a citronella candle/ mosquito coil. They hate the smell!

I am also so scared of dental procedures! About the hummingbird feeder, it looks like the liquid you have in there is dyed which is really bad for the birds. They are attracted to red but you can try putting red tape on the clear glass instead. Also for the liquid you can DIY in about 2 min, 1 cup water with 1/4 cup sugar boiled together for 1 min and cooled.

Tooth pain is the worst. I had 2 root canals, the most painful ever. Anesthesia worked..kinda. I feel your pain. Glad you got it over with. I was awake , no sedation, and yes I cried. The dental assistant had to wipe my tears for me.

Did you know that our teeth are connected to different organs and areas of our bodies? I wish I would have known that earlier in life! I've had 3 root canals. The teeth are sending us a message that something else needs attention. Another reason for us to eat healthy & it's not always easy. If you deal with any emotional issues/stress - there are a few underlying reasons that can also affect your teeth as well.

I'm a lil b at the dentist too. I never was before the last few times I've gone, which unfortunately did not go well, so now I get anxious.
I HATE mosquitoes. I used to react horribly to the bites (im talking over 5" welts, antibiotics), but ever since I started eating more garlic I noticed I haven't gotten bit in 15 years.
I will say, bugs by my ears freak me tf out lol. I hope you get rid of it soon😵

I got a root canal waited a year because I was scared to find out the root canal pain was worse than the actual process. I was completely fine after lol

I had my first root canal last year. Local anaesthetic only. I don't remember much pain afterwards. A year later I've gone back for a crown. A crown is required because the tooth has no blood supply so it's dead and becomes more brittle which means you could lose it entirely. The crown protects the real tooth underneath otherwise you'll end up with an implant.
Does it hurt under local anesthesia?

For mosquitoes 🦟: I sleep next to lavender oil. They hate tea tree oil, citronella, and I even tried leaving pieces of banana out.

I need a root canal done but I lost my job thus, insurance when the pandemic hit so I guess I got out of it for now but I am so scared. I have a huge pain tolerance but dental/nerve things I cannot handle. They told me they wouldn’t sedate me but maybe I just need to call around until I find a place that does the sedation. Were you fully asleep or just relaxed?
In case she doesn't reply....I worked for a dentist for 5 years. I believe she was fully under (I could be wrong) but usually with anesthesia like wisdom teeth removal it affects your short term memory which she said the Dr mentioned she might not remember much from that day. I have assisted a dentist for a handful of root canals. Our office only did novacaine shots. Our patients were fully awake. 99% of them did just fine! Nerves got the best of a few. But once ur numb, u shouldn't feel anything other than a sore jaw from it being open for a little while during the treatment. When choosing an office, make sure you ask if they fully sedate if that's what you want. Not all of them do.

I’m terrified of the dentist but I’m also terrified of being sedated. Especially at the dentist. Like how can you put your trust in people you don’t know when you’re at your most vulnerable and they’re literally inside your mouth?! Idk I need work done and I’m really trying to decide which is worse right now.
You’re actually *there* because you have to follow their instructions, so you’re still doing everything they’re asking you to do (open, close, etc) but you’re out of it and you don’t remember any of it. I guess if it’s a sketchy dentist it might be something to worry about lol but she’s a highly respected endodontist!

Just wanted to share something with you as I needed to a root canal done recently and did a lot of research.
Please watch "root cause"... it was on Netflix but not sure if its there anymore... but I'm sure you'll fine it somewhere.
The doc talks about a study that researched a link between a root canal and breast cancer. 90% of breast cancer patience also had root canal procedures completed.
Look by the door frames, air vents, or ceiling. I hate mosquitoes.
