He may didn’t want to play in my country but he played around 6 times here after that. He came with a idea and the support of the crowd changed his own perception. Sadly the regime wasn’t our choice and we struggled a lot and the men of Portugal that didn’t want to fight for something illogical. He changed his point of view and even recorded an album, Dialogues, with our greatest musician, Portuguese guitar player, Carlos Paredes whom was viewed, by Haden, as a real master of music. That certainly created a love story between Haden and Portugal and made him a very Portuguese double bass player.
Thank you Mr. Haden for your service. A great musician , and even a better man.
You will not be forgotten..not only for your music..but always, and especially, for your courage to speak out and become the voice of humanity..
