My toxic trait is going to look up who she ends up with before I continuing reading so I don’t get attached to the wrong character then end up sad
Nooo 😭😭😭
I do this too, but only when I get super attached to someone. I just don’t wanna be like “I HATE THIS BOOK!” bc they didn’t end up together. I wanna be able to appreciate the right characters rather than the wrong ones making my ratings or opinions biased.
Me too and I didn’t like 😢
Just finished it and really, her comparisons are probably the best thing about this book. The ear pierce part really made me thoughtful.
It's an unrealistic situation but a realistic choice
Emma's process and growth was definitely what made the book worthy to read, she's very relatable/recognizable, Taylor did a good job constructing her.
Honestly One true loves is such a underrated book. I love it sm. The way Tjr has the ability to describe feelings so well. My only issue is that in my opinion you could predict whom she will pic.
So underrated!
Niki is like a great UA-cam sister / friend I love her vibe. I feel safe and omg that comfort
Omg this made my day 🥺
The storyline reminds me of the movie castaway where, tom hanks character was engaged before he went missing and then comes back to his fiance to find she's married and has a kid
Yes totally! I think she had to be inspired by that.
It’s my first book of her. I feel the ending is bittersweet. You get happy and sad at the same time. I loved Jesse and Sam. What a situation 🥺
Honestly I feel like all of TJR’s books end that way 🥹 Bittersweet is the perfect way to describe it
I feel like you described exactly my thoughts on this book! such a good read and the writing is just so dang beautiful
I'm currently losing my mind reading it. Its TJR book so I knew I'll love it and most importantly the plot sounded right up my alley.
I think the way Taylor wrote Emma is the selling point. Her emotions feel real and genuine most importantly. When i read the blurb, the first thought was who would I choose and I couldn't think of an answer. I get her emotional turmoil, she thinks she is selfish but truly she is the most selfless person.
Also very random but i like the age dynamic and time line. Like it's not a kid finding his lost love suddenly but an adult who understands the situation.
100% agree!
I’ve only read / still currently reading tow which was Malibu Rising and now Daisy Jones and I’m loving the loosely interconnected universe Taylor Jenkins Reid has created in these books.
I've got a couple of TJR's backlist to yet through by my goodness, this one is shooting up my TBR right now
I’m currently reading Evelyn Hugo. Loving it. Will read this one after. Loving this author!
Yay! She’s really so incredible 💗
Wish I could read Evelyn Hugo again for the first time lol. Hope you love it!!
Omg I literally just read this one! Really enjoyed it ❤
I'm so glad!
This book made me cry so much!!!! It was really good.
Every single book you talk about I need to read like immediately.. like always
I love that 🥺
I really wanna read this one😭
Do it! 💗
This one is on my list for a while and can't wait to read it. "Maybe in Another Life" was my first book if TJR and it broke my heart and I've absolutely LOVED it. Currently reading (almost finished) Daisy Jones & The Six. Unfortunately I'm not liking it. I mean the story is nice, but I'm not a fan of the writing style which I understand is the thing that made it so popular 😥 This one seems more my style, like Maybe in Another Life, I've already bought it on my kindle. Thank you for your review, suggest you to read Maybe In Another Life next ❤
I soooo highly recommend listening to the audio book of Daisy Jones! I promise the experience is completely different and will suck you right in 😭 But yes I definitely need to read Maybe In Another Life! I’ve heard so many good things. Thanks so much 💗
@@nikkisbooknook aw that sucks not have known that, maybe I could have liked it more. Now I've only 20% left, don't think is worth starting it now.
Currently reading tis book!! And im positive that im loosing my mind!!!
Hahaha just accept it!
I totally enjoyed reading this book.
Me too!
Can you do a book unboxing video where you open a bunch of books at once and talk about why you got them and things like that?
Hahaha I’m definitely on a book buying ban right now because my shelves are bursting at the seams with books I haven’t read 😂😭 But eventually, yes!
Wow I'm definitely will be reading this book 👍
I hope you love it!
This book messed me up so bad, it’s one of my favorites 100%
Hurt me so good 😭
Your videos are an addiction, but I'm not complaining, lol. I literally dropped everything so I could watch this😭😭
Thank you 😭💗
I just bought this as I was watching. I am a widow and it sounds amazing.
I hope you love it 🥲
I loved this book so much!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!
I wish you would do spoiler videos more often. I’ve been trying to join a book club but have been having trouble. I come to your videos to get that sense of a community who is talking about a book I just read. I want the details, what you thought throughout the book, your reactions to certain point in the book. Regardless love your videos but just want more of your you opinions on the tea ☕️ lol
In my more recent reviews, I always do a section at the end including spoilers and plan to keep it that way sense I've gotten a lot of the same feedback! ◡̈
Loved this book !❤️
Me too!!
I hated this book. So much. Hated it.
Well I’m sorry 😅
@@nikkisbooknook noo i mean you don't have to be sorry😭
Is there trigger warning
No… maybe for breakups, survivors, grief?
Nikki you look so beautiful
thank you 🥺
This was a wild journey to read tho. I did not like Emma and was team everyone else 😂 but it was a really good book.
She dumped her husband and chose the new one.
If you reverse the role, it would be pretty sick. Not that it's not sick here
"We have grown apart", in the case of cheating partners, they've also grown apart. If you apply such a mentality, all sorts of horrible things are easily justified.
thanks for the spoiler ? tf
