I agree with Gayton and I agree that public funding should be declared to the public because we the tax payers deserve accountability and transparency and it’s the first time in the ministry of sports that this us happening
The eff are sore losers cause they got no positions in the gnu and now they jumping on the bandwagon to stay relevant but they’ve done absolutely nothing to help artists during covid or any other time since they’ve been in government

Sars should be sitting down for taxing Makhadsi but minister Gayton should continue to bring to light all the wrongs in the department regarding funding, publish the list stay transparent we want to know how our tax money was spent.

Please help our rural community with the post office.People are struggling to get their monies some have travel to town and its too expensive and not safe.Sometimes they find post office in town are closed.

I believe the Department was only responding to claims that they didn't fund Makhadzi's trip to the BET by stating that they do support Makhadzi's career by requesting her services and paying her, I don't recall seeing anywhere that the department claimed it was funding her.

Lord GMac was not there when all the Makhadzi things were happening. He has just joined the department so he was informed by those who have been there in the past what was happening. Even the 'list' was given to him by past staff so how is he to blame?
As a Minister, he should do due diligence and not just believe what he is told by staff about things that he was not involved in! What type of Minister believes any story he is told without verification, especially when he is new in the department??? The world doesn’t work like that! Verify the truth of the matter first as a minister before making a fool of yourself!!!

I think timing is everything. Doing the right thing at the wrong time is just as detrimental. For Gayton Mackenzie to publish this list is ok. But for him to do it in response to the Dept’s failure to support Makhadzi wen they should have is wrong. The motive for exposing this list is totally unrelated to the issue at hand and I agree, it was wrong for them to do that to her. They should have just paid for her loans with the loan sharks instead of retaliating like that.
