- Welcome to another episode with my lifted offroad BMW E53. In this video i will completely transform the paintjob after neglecting the car since i bought it 2.5 years ago. Goal here was to remove 80% imperfections, but i think in those 50hrs i overdone it, let me know what do you think. The car is of course not perfect, but for what it is, i am very happy with the result, and looking at it every day i really appreciate the improvement. I am also showing my step by step process when detailing a car, thinking it might be a bit more interesting. I've come to find out that the stock rims with the rugged tires look the best in my opinion, I've got a set of X5 20' wheels in my X3 with some spacers and bought some rugged tires like yours and oh my does it look boss. BMW definitely makes sexy product, you just gotta look around for the right look. Awesome video nonetheless and awesome build bro!
thanks a lot buddy! i 100% agree with you, i would love to get 19-20" wheels with some mud runner tires, but the price for the tires would be astronomical for me :-D so i went this way, and even so, those tires were like 800€..
I've got a BMW X5 2005 e53 4.8is 98k on the clock and I've converted it to run on LPG and it's so much better!
4.8is is a gem, i would love to have one of those :-)

well, that is inheritance after my grandfather, i am considering making it a project, but its soo roten underneath that i dont think i would be able to fix it, never done anything close to that.. and every single panel on top needs work too, nothing fits :-D so we'll see

Well, i dont know if that will help you, because E70 is quite a different chassis (based on E60), from my E53, so i am sure you will be able to run bigger tires, and lower offset wheels, but here are mine: 265/65 R17 tires all around, and wheels are 17x8.5 ET13 front (with no spacer), and 17x10 ET19 rear with 15mm spacer, so that makes effective ET4
but that would be easy for you to dial in, once you get your wheels.. btw i was also thinking about upgrading to E70 later on :-D we'll see how it goes..

I own the BMW X5 e53 3L diesel 6-speed auto in all-black with black badges and grills and black leather interior. Satnav was uprated to the Pioneer touchscreen with Bluetooth.
It's a wonderful vehicle to drive on & offroad. I live and explore in it full-time. My wheels are stock rims with 255/50/R19 front and 285/45/R19 rear. I prefer the Accelera IOTA-ST68 All-Season tyres, which have been fantastic.

@@ronaldbryant7710 I use 3 (mini, medium and big), they are all basically random names, it doesnt matter really, they do the same job i believe.. A1000 mini, Liquid elements T2000 and the big one is krauss shinemaster S15 (i would recommend a machine with smaller throw, i dont really like the big throw this one has)

Good video 👍👍 BUT the weird narrow thin collar on the Labrador is way too tight to just walk around with. It must have a more comfortable collar that is wider and not so tight. There is no need to have such a tight collar on it.
thanks for the comment, however it is not a regular collar, but a protection collar against ticks and mosquitos, and its not tight at all, it actually should be tighter according to manufacturer's manual (it does need the contact with the skin to actually work). he doesnt even feel it anyway, I promise 🙂
@@TheFuxxoWorksGarage Ok 😊 I commented on the chin strap because I've never seen one before and thought you might not have noticed that the collar was tight. So sorry for my ignorance regarding such a necklace. I own a dog and have always had a dog, therefore I saw that detail. But a very good video. I myself have a BMW X5 2004 so it was a very useful video you made. Do you have a video where you make the car higher off the ground.

hoist? you mean the scissor lift? its called Normet PX-3500XE, it lifts 3.5 tons.. its from poland actually, but i believe the seller in my country said the manufacturer is chinese? so you might be able to get it, or get something like it :-)

What is the size of your tyres in front and rear?
tires are all 265/65 R17 and wheels are 17x8.5 front and 17x10 back
@@TheFuxxoWorksGarage Having the different size wheels, does it handle differnet? Better? what are the pro's of this? I have an e53 with 18's front and rear same size.
@@orionkstorm well, bmw's always have staggered setup, wider rears than fronts, 18" all the same size, for E53 are probably winter wheels, i have oem 19" which are staggered too, its just a norm. however, i have all 4 tires the same size, so i am only running wider rims, and it doest make any difference really :-) its just the looks, rears look wider than front, which i do like.
