- SEVERAL HUNDRED YEARS HAVE PASSED AND THE REALM IS THREATENED ONCE AGAIN...
This is my C64 take on "Gargoyle's Quest" for the Nintendo Game Boy.
Originally composed by Harumi Fujita and Yoko Shimomura, the music from this game has been stuck in my head ever since I played it for the first time in the fourth grade.
A big thank you to Fabio Marinelli from @Commodore64SoundtrackCover for his helping hand with the inSIDious plugin!
This is the first music-video of "64 - tified".... Your place for all the Commodore 64 Songs that never happened in the past!

Here you will find 8-bit reimaginations of your favorite movie- / TV-show- / videogame-scores / heavy-metal songs using the sound from the one and only Master of the Chiptune-Universe: The Commodore 64 SID-Chip!
The punch that C64 music adds fits so well.

Has that pokemon thing always been there?
The Gameboy and C64 are my two favorite systems sound-wise. This is beautifully made!
Thank you very much!
Sounds great!

Thank s a lot!
@@64-tified This version sounds much better than the original. :)
Are the SID and the pic to be found on the CSDB?
Unfortunately not. It is not a real SID. The song is done with the inSIDidious plugin for the REAKTOR VST.
My main focus was to make something that "sounds" C64 like, without hardware limits.
The same goes for the title picture. It uses the C64 color palette and the "multicolor" 2x1 pixel mode, but the resolution is much higher than on the original hardware (I could not make it look good in 320x200 :D)
However, with a bit of creativity and some small sacrifices, the song could very well be done as a classical "3 channel" SID.
put the game on a c64.
