You know those moments when you get a YT notification from Dry Bar and you can tell it's gonna be a good one just by the title? Yeah, this was definitely one of those moments
- It reminds me of hanging out with my late wife. She was from Chengdu, China. She'd talk to me in English and I'd answer her in Mandarin. It was fun freaking people out.
~ The chronically unhappy will always look for (and think they have found) racist cracks in racial and ethnic humor. This guy is tasteful and really funny.
Men, I can totally relate to you. I was born in Mexico from Italian parents, but from the north of Italy, where most people look from Austria or Germany, and grew up in California from about twelve years up to adulthood. So, while in Mexico no one thought of me as a Mexican or Italian , and while in the USA, no one thought I could be Mexican or Italian, and while in southern Italy no one thought of me as an Italian or a Mexican.....
On dad's side of the family, his parents were from Scotland, and living in Houston. Southern drawl combined with the Scottish b(dddr)rogue. "Dad, what did she say??" She was a gracious, true Southern Belle, and he was very much a Southern Gentleman. Both Christians. Can't wait to see them on the other side. 🙏❤🙏
You are such a natural; thank you so much for giving me so many moments of laughter! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your show on Dry Bar; I only wish that I could afford to “tip” you much more, as you deserve it!
I remember sitting with my deaf father watching Russian films With Spanish subtitles on Unavision and using American sign language to discuss the movie.
I love the comedy of stories of real life. I don't appreciate jokes as much. This guy is hilarious because he doesn't tell jokes. He tells funny stories of his life. So good! I want more! I especially enjoy it when he speaks in the accents of his mother and father.
@@donnahampton3632 It is a gift..but almost childlike to be able to mimic the sounds of laguages just as you hear them and not get all caught up in the letters and how you were taught to say them (PHONICS)

Similar thing happens to my parents in California. My entire family has an Asian face and we crossed the border from Latin America. Whenever my parents speak fluent Spanish, everyone around us does a double take. roflmao
This is the most relatable comedy sketch ever because I am half Mexican and half American but look WHITEEEE. I have literally had some of these same experiences.
I have had the same experience. People have thought that my brother and I were dating because we look so different. I came out super white and he looks darker than my Hispanic father.
Awesome set! It felt like we were all at a party, he had a couple drinks in him, and he was just sharing some of the funny things that happened to him. He was a riot!
I had a Cuban dad and a British mom, and grew up in Texas. I too am very white looking, and people have a hard time reconciling it with my multicultural background. This routine made me laugh and reminded me of so many experiences I had (like people who had seen Scarface assuming I would have major drug connections 😅).
I don't even understand the why or reason that people identify you with Scarface. Unless you are purposely speaking broken English w/your acquired, Cubano accent? Anyway, Cubano's come in all colors, no surprise there, what's your point? LOL.
Ethnicity and language are funny things. What’s stranger than hearing a foreign language is when you understand what they are saying. I must have learned Spanish by osmosis. In a place called Ironbound in Newark New Jersey, everyone speaks their own language and we still understand each other. We speak Portuguese from Portugal, Portuguese from Brazil, Spanish from Cuba, Porto Rico, Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Argentina Spain and other places and we can speak English too, sometimes. Everyone just speaks whatever happens to come out. It’s great!
Probably didn't realize how much of his audience was likely to be a Spanish-speaking returned missionary! I've surprised a lot of people when I start speaking Spanish.
I worked at a dental office in Ohio. Had been there for a couple months when one of my coworkers looks at me with surprise all over her face and asked me how I spoke Spanish. I'm a born and raised Puertorrican.
I remember hearing a joke years ago about a British father correcting the police that it's "anyway, not anyways". I loved it but I missed his name. At long last I found him. Well senior. Muy bien. Mucho gusto
Hilarious. Yes my husband is Indian from India and out of our three children the middle one has blonde hair and kept his blue eyes for 3 months before they turned brown. My in laws were looking at my white butt pretty hard 😂
I'm Polish (blonde green eyes) and my husband is Iranian (black hair brown eyes). All 3 of our kids have the exact same light brown hair and hazel eyes 😅
As a third generation German born and, mostly, raised in South America (ironically many of the same places he mentions), I can definitely confirm many of the things he said about looking one way with a different upbringing. The story about "the maid being happy with the baby"? 100% true. Our maid in Peru (in late 1960's) insisted on doing the stroller walk with me in the afternoons so that she could brag in front of the other neighborhood maids that I was indeed "niñito de Dios" (God's child). Seriously (well, I don't remember - according to my mom). For me walking around and listening to Latinos "speaking behind my back" and then answering in perfect Spanish is a joy to this day. 🤣🤣🤣
I am just the opposite. I look Hispanic. Latinos come up to me and start speaking Spanish to me. I am pure European (okay a chunk of my DNA is Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian).
Omg my mom is half Filipino and when I was a baby I had bleach blonde hair, blue eyes, and was as white as my paper white dad. My mom is 5’ 2 and very dark, and anytime she went out with me she would get lots of weird looks and get asked if she was my babysitter lol.
One thing that happened to my husband : we have a music shop in Nice , France , and one day an African man came in and asked : " Sprechen sie Deutch ?" (Do you speak German ?) ... He was born and raised in Stuttgard ! Great show , thank you
Similar experience when in India to see Chinese speaking English with an Indian accent. Many are multi-generational as they escaped to India during chinas several violent political purges. Indian-Chinese cuisine is delicious btw! 😋
It's taken me one-too-three many videos from the channel to realize Utah is where Dry Bar takes place.. thought all the good ones had their best sets in Utah 😅
I DiEd when he said “I love you” in German. That’s not how it’s pronounced but it was pretty close. My brother came in just then too and looked at me like I’m crazy. 😆
When he did his dads voice.. that was awesome.
I died at that point......
i wish he did more of his dad. love english accents. the stereotypes are hilarious
watch it crowd - the part after renolds died
"Unhand my progeny!"

I like how he does jokes about race but in a very tasteful way.
Exactly. His accents are so great and content funny but respectful.

This is genuinely the most relatable stand up I’ve ever seen.

Loved it! And thanks Dry bar for promoting comedians with little to no profanity btw! ❤️
I wish he will be given a New Full Show with a Longer Time. I think he can do more.
Every line he made is very amusing.
Reminds me of my German teacher in high school. She spoke German with a Texas drawl.
On dad's side of the family, his parents were from Scotland, and living in Houston. Southern drawl combined with the Scottish b(dddr)rogue.

That was great story telling. I lot of voices, characters, and non stop dialogue.

Something I didn't know I needed: another comedy skit from Andrew Kennedy!
Outstanding as usual! He's hilarious!
Haven't watched Andrew Kennedy for so long. He is great!!!

I have had the same experience. People have thought that my brother and I were dating because we look so different. I came out super white and he looks darker than my Hispanic father.

Is American a race??

Andrew Kennedy is my new favorite dry bar comedian. Thank you! Especially love the impersonations of his parents. 😍
¡Así se hace! This is how it's done! Bravo 👏 My only complaint is that it was only 20 minutes long 🙂
Awesome set! It felt like we were all at a party, he had a couple drinks in him, and he was just sharing some of the funny things that happened to him. He was a riot!
I was having a sorta rough day and this half hispanic legend has made me feel alot better

“Unhand my progeny this instant!” is such a familiar phrase to us English 👍
