Amazing, the progress that has been made in the state of Arizona. I moved to Phoenix in 98. The 101 on the west side went from I-10 to Northern, the east side went from US 60 to Thomas Rd. The AZ 51 went from I-10 to Shea. The 202 went from I-10 and 51 to Scottsdale Rd. The AZ 303 was a 2 lane highway, 1 lane north and south from I-10 to Grand Ave. I left in 2007. As a native and returnee to Louisiana, we are hard pressed to get our dilapidated roads fixed. And if it is South Louisiana, getting another lane which they have gotten in some locations, has been too long coming. Texas is the only other state I know that does not drag their heels when it comes to infrastructure.

I live in Texas right now and the road quality is absolutely horrendous. They do a lot of building here but basically zero fixing.
