Great information. I have a 2009 EZGO RVX and the drain plug is made of rubber. I simply add the oil through the axle tube while it was still open. I didn't see in your video, but i added 2oz of friction modifier for limited slip diff.
Hey Barry! Love the videos! I have a 1996 36V TXT without a Tow switch. What are my options for my cart to have a limited-slip differential installed? (I noticed your comment below stated 1998 and up)
Ahhh,.. at the end, you put the Brake Drum back on over the wasted brake shoes. ???? Did the friction device work? How about a demonstration? The device connects the 2 axles inside the differential via the 2 friction washers rubbing together? How long will that last before the surfaces are worn? The fiber friction rings you pressed in are the serviceable replacement parts that would wear out?
Another great video with vital info for us diy! But at least I have an air wrench. If that’s all there is to it, just two small metal pieces and springs, why is that optional?
Where can I get these parts for my 2009 EZGO MPT 800?
Great video, was there a significant difference in the traction and performance of the cart? I have an '13 ezgo Valor, pumpkin looks different but I presume the steps are the same. Thanks again for all the material you post, always my first stop. BW Denton TX
I have a 2005 yamaha pro hauler 700. I followed your instructions on how to remove the rear axle but the rear axle does not slide out like you show i need your help so that can install the limited slip
What is the kit for the limited slip and where did you get it?
I have a Taylor Dunn R380 electric cart that I've been using for years to plow snow. Is there a limited slip kit that would work on my cart? I would love better traction for plowing.
I know this is an old old video lol but I was wondering if you added any friction modifier in the gear oil?
No, I just added straight 80 weight and it's done great over these years! That ca has carried many a deer through the woods and is still going!! Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!
My 48v Yamaha G19E keeps getting gear oil in the motor is this bad?
Is this available for 2017 cushman hauler 1200x gas cart?
Great video! I thought I had the info I needed until I looked at mine, I have no "pumpkin". I have a 98 ezgo gas txt. I cant find anything that breaks down how to do this job on a cart similar to mine. Getting into this rear end looks a lot more complex than the one here! any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Unfortunately at this time, I do not know of a Traction Control System that will fit in the older style carts. Keep checking back for more video's and I'll see what I can find.
www.everythingcarts.com/p-3623-ezgo-txt-4-cycle-gas-models-limited-slip-differential-traction-control-system-for-1998-up.aspx thanks for you response. I had bought this to install, Will this part fit?

The electric TXT rear ends are different from the gas TXT rear ends. The housings are way different.
what is the torque value on the differential cover?
I have looked and looked and the closet I can find is 5 to 7 ft lbs. You mainly want to snug it down without over tightening. It's going into an aluminum case so don't tighten it with an impact!!
Thanks! I went with the generic torque values in the book that said for 5/16" bolts, use 8 ft lbs. So you are right there. Thank you for responding.
Hey, I was wondering? How did you guys make the plate like new? Did u guys paint it?
I bought my golf used from someone who did not know the year or any paper work. How do I find the year so I can order parts. I locked up the rear axel and may need to order parts after watching this vid the code plate shows manuf code F201. Serial #1380022. Thx for any help
You have a 2001 EZGO TXT. Only thing left is to determine the electrical system. (1) Where is your F&R switch? (2) Does it have a Run/Tow switch? (3) What voltage is it?
My golf cart slips while in motion. It does not do it in reaveres only n forward
Do you have Any recommendations for a Yamaha g16?
This EZGO Traction Control System fits electric golf carts 1998 and up. Powers both rear wheels in muddy conditions, uneven ground and wet grass. Also fits Yamaha gas and electric G11-G22.
OH, ALL I NEED NOW IS THE HEATED 2 CAR GARAGE, FLUORESCENT LIGHTING AND CUTTING BOARD WORKBENCH....
I will have the best
$220 for those few pieces is absolutely outrageous....
I bought it followed directions and what a bogus piece of garbage
Please explain why? Does it click like crazy while turning due to inside/outside tire speed? Thanks
