    APG been knocking around since I was 12 years old I'm 24 now and he's still slaying fools it's all mental I think

      Truth but for some it’s definitely the hands can’t take the grind that’s needed

    • @_gr1nchh
      @_gr1nchh Рік тому +4

      It's large part mental. And sometimes you get tired of the grind of playing the same game, hours a day, for years. Plus hand issues. For everyone it's different though.

      For sure, I definitely can’t hit clips or compete at a high level anymore my hands just don’t react the same anymore. I think for everyone it really depends on how you take care of yourself and you’re mental state. I get too angry when I start playing like a potato 😂 can’t figure out where my 2011-2014 self went. It’s dope to see people like APG and FormaL still around. #GreenWall

      Im 26 and im finally getting good enough to wanna try to compete and I feel like it’s too late for me and gamebattles is down. Is that true or can people my age still compete. Is there an age limit in the cdl? Like im not gonna make it there. But its something to strive for nothing wrong with tryna be good even if u fail. Curious on the age range for the cdl I think it’s 18+. But what if someone is 27 for example and literally destroying people and clearly good enough is he too old and has to do 8s or other comp teams online. Or can someone that age play in the cdl like 27-30

      @@Synergy465all he had to do was research how long he’s been playing halo tournaments and say “you’re still winning tournaments at the highest level for x amount of years now” it’s a compliment to his longevity. Lebron James and Tom Brady get praised for it all the time.

    I guess my days are over then. Turning 31. Lol jokes aside, I tried eSports when it wasn't even called that. Game Battles would do CoD2 stuff and then I tried with CoD3 but we all know how much of a failure that game was. Since then, I knew I'd never do it. Hard work with something I wanted to have fun with. I love videogames too much to do that to myself.

      In esports it is, it gets close to the age of retirement. Generally skills decrease and eye to hand coordination is slower. there is so much talent in most leaves that the younger kids just take over and the older dudes rotate into content.
      Being in your mid 30s and still playing is not normally common. You need to be an absolute fucking demon and have the passion to want to scrim and devote every single day. Scump is a phenomenal example. Clearly has the skill still, but has just lost the passion.

    • @esbinlopez

    real men realize their "passions"/focus is better utilized in other areas of life than video games.... even if theyre making good money, it isn't sustainable long term. A man cant say his job is playing video games unless hes making CS money of 20k per month. And even then its finite and once a pro retires, he still needs a "real" career....
