Ganjeei, Davoud (born June 14, 1942, in Rey Town, a town adjacent to Tehran, the capital city), Iranian contemporary violin and kamancheh (an Iranian fiddle) player
Davood Ganjehei learnt to play Kamancheh from master Abdollah Jahan Panah and violin from Wolfgang Valish, the Austrian master. Bypassing the course of high school, he followed his studies in the field of music in the Faculty of Art of Tehran University, and in this period he enjoyed the presence of great masters such as Noor Ali Boroomand and Dr. Dariush Safvat. By receiving his B.A. he was employed by the Center of Preservation and Promotion of Iran Music and while he was researching in the various aspects of Iranian Music, learned a great deal through cooperating with great music masters such as Saeed Hormozi, Yosef Forootan, and Mahmood Karimi. He also followed his effort to gain more experience in kamancheh playing in the presence of Ali Asghar Bahari.
Among his art activities, one can refer to his teachings in all the levels of educational and art centers, holding concerts in various cities of the world and participating in the domestic and foreign festivals with the company of music groups of the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Iran Music. He also from the starting point of the establishment of the Center of Preservation and Promotion of Iran Music, worked there as a trainer. His positions are as follows:

7. The art counselor of the Music Center
8. The art counselor of Azad University in the field of art and architecture
9. Art counselor and member of Trustee Board of Iran Music Association
10. Member of Research and Pedagogic Council of IRIB
11. Member of the Council for Policy Making of the Music Center
12. Member of the Music National Committee, affiliated with UNESCO
13. Member of the Evaluating council of IRIB
14. Manager of the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Music
15. Deputy and successor of general director of Music of IRIB
16. Successor and executive manager of Music House
17. Member of the judging board of Fajr Music Festivals
18. Member of judging board of Young Music Festivals in all the Festivals
19. Member of judging board of Handicapped Music Festivals
20. Member of the Center of Iranian Fiddle Player of House of Music
21. Member of the Center of Music Trainers of House of Music
22. Responsible for overseeing the processes of sending out various fiddles to other countries

سلام بر معلم دوست داشتنی جناب اقای داوود گنجه ای .
افتخار بزرگی است که شاگرد شما بوده ام . انچه به من یاد دادی زبان هنر بود و همان تشویقهای شما باعث شد در تئاتر دبیرستانی فعال شوم . سپس در عرصه فیلمسازی مستند و در تلوزیون فعالیت کردم و اکنون هم در عرصه های دیگر هنری کار میکنم . ریشه فعالیت هنری من تشویق های جناب اقای گنجه ای بوده و افتخار زندگی من شاگردی در محضر ایشان بوده است . امیدوارم روز به ایران برگشته و دست این مرد بزرگ را ببوسم .
