The most raw and real shit. Hits hard when you know the emptiness he’s talking about. Only thing worse than never accomplishing your dreams, is actually reaching them and still feeling empty when you do.
Exactly. I’ve began to notice, as my life has “bettered” albeit barely I still feel empty honestly even more empty and really feel like giving up chasing dreams n shit I can’t even get my own damn place and I’m working 45-50+ hours a week two jobs I feel hopeless
@@cMind607 - If you can, drop the 2nd job, take the additional time gained from this to learn new skills. One of the greatest things you could ever do in your life is make the gym a part of your life, to daily make it a point to go further in the gym will significantly aid in your career. Also understand, depression does not happen suddenly, it is an onset that gradually takes a hold without you even noticing that you are now in a depressed state. The gym will free you from your "feel empty" state of mind.
That’s because most of the dreams people have are programmed methods of consumerism by western society. Be a “star” aka be a tool for the ruling class to sell you products through ads. It’s all hollow. And that’s why I love this song. Most “dreams” pushed to you are just consumerism.
I like how the second half of the song is him revisiting writing it months later when he has more clarity to connect to his discontent in the first half
Although most of us will never know what being in the spotlight is like, this song is relatable because it’s genuine and emotions we all experience as humans just trying to figure things out. Love love love this song. Love you, Jack. 💕
"I'm looking out heaven's window, I know there is Hell around me" He is so aware of whats happening, you hear it in his music, he smiles only once with Jamal and it looks like a memory from the past, beautiful stuff.

Jack! At 1:16 it shows you at the Good Times off Colfax Ave. I rode my motorcycle up there that night to get some food after a hard day at work and noticed a lot going on with the shoot but didn't even realize it was your shoot until it was too late and you left. I was sitting on the curb by my bike. I wish I would've said hello!
