Heyo! I’m interested in trying out Kaiser and seeing whether or not I should switch my main to him. I was wondering how the bossing rotation goes- how often should I cast wing beat and tempest blades?
Hello, tempest blades should be casted asap when they are available unless your 5th job skill “Bladefall” is almost available, it’s a good idea to keep a set around if Bladefall is nearly ready since it consumes a set of blades. Bosses like Damien however may dodge your tempest blades when you cast it since he disappears from sight very often similar to the RA boss Vellum. If he does dodge it, wait a moment before casting tempest blades again, they will return to you if they were casted and failed to find a target. There are a few players against using wing beat but it’s part of our damage and works amazing against stationary bosses like Gollux or Lucid in phase 1 and 3. But less effective on lucid phase 2 since she is constantly in motion dodging the tornados. But two casts of wingbeat should be on the boss constantly unless you’re in lucid phase 2 for the most part. It may seem troublesome but you can dragon link the first wingbeat and then press the skill key like normal to get two casts out almost instantaneously. You can also cast them before the boss spawns, towards the boss’s expected spawn location so that you spend less time casting them, and more time dealing damage. I did that very often against Damien in this video. You can also direct your casts towards a wall so that they bounce back and deal damage by the time the boss is once again visible and if it’s expected to respawn near the wall area.
