I just started doing this last year. It helps to keep me focused on the wins and what I need to improve. I have a physical journal and use my phone when something pops in my head and I am not in my studio.
Great video! I am trying to keep a studio journal. It’s easy to forget to complete it. Also- I love how your paper is organized in your drawer. It the organizer made for horizontal organization or is it a hanging organizer that is in the drawer? Thank you for all your inspiration to keep learning!
Thank you! To make this more of a habit I have a daily reminder called "studio journal", and also making it an enjoyable ritual helps. You're correct, it is a hanging organizer that I put inside the drawer 😉 I'm so happy this is encouraging you to keep learning 🙇🏻♀️
I am not sure that I understand your question. You can see a few examples of entries in the video, but I don't follow the same template every time. Sometimes I had a thought while drawing and I write it down directly, if it doesn't come, I ask myself: What did I learn? What did I notice? What didn't I understand? What do I want to remember about this? And I go from there. Please let me know if I misunderstood your question 🙂

Your paintings are always so cool! Do you feel like the eyes are watching you paint?

Couldn’t catch the art school name. Could you mention it here? I am also looking for something online
Of course, it's New Masters Academy. I made a bunch of videos sharing my experience there if you want to know more - but I highly recommend it!
Do you have a certain way how you note everything in your journal?
