I knew sandals had bought and renovating the resort, but damn! didn't expect all that, looks so beautiful and expensive. They also building a new port in Kingstown. My St Vincent and the Grenadines, on the up and up.
Hello, just watched this video and look forward to booking a trip. I am interested in one of the partial ocean view rooms; could you advise on which building and floor would be best? Thank you kindly!
As you mention for Transportation , Caribbean Airlines flies to Argyle international airport in Saint Vincent & Greandines .-Kingstown ,( Caricom country ) But it would be cool if JetBlue Airlines flies to from JFK airport or as you mention from Boston as well . Any how much love from Flatbush , Brooklyn H.T. / U.S. !!!!!
Hi Guys, there’s lots of mention about flights to St Vincent for the Sandals Resort but nothing mentioned about flights from the UK apart the Virgin Atlantic flight twice weekly, is the Resort only for Americans?
No! not only for Americans, St Vincent and the Grenadines small with 1 International Airport, So the only daily flights are from around the caribbean. Other internacional flights are maybe twice weekly not much more. But we welcome everyone.
Those flights, which are 1x week (Wednesday), are seasonal and stop on March 6th. After that all of their flights (2x weekly- F & S) stop in Trinidad, and only the connection to SVD requires you to stay overnight in Trinidad - so it is not really an option.
Thanks for the insight. Hope they get JetBlue to add direct service from JFK (our home airport) to the Island - if they do, we will switch our current late April 2024 reservation at Montego Bay. It seems that without additional USA air service beyond three flights per week on American from Miami (total capacity 512 pax), there is no way they will be able to fill the resort's 301 rooms. The air service from Toronto is not an option for US travelers with all the customs issues there in making a connection to another international location. The resort does look fantastic and the dining options are diverse - but, as you said, it is more pricey than any other Sandals resort, with 80 rooms (1/4) that are luxury level in the top 4 floors of the two connected Bamboo buildings, and the cheapest of those is still over $1,000 per night and the least expensive club level rooms (120 rooms (1/3+) in the two Lady Palms and swim-up in the Bamboo buildings are $1,250/nt ($1,600/nt for swim-ups) - won't really affect our travel plans, but for those who are used to going to Sandals for 7 nights for $5,000 (or a few bucks less), they may not be able to afford it, especially when with the current 3x week air schedule (Mon, Wed & Sat), you are limited to 3, 5, 7 & 10 night stays. Hope this is a successful resort for Sandals as they have placed a $100+ million bet on an island that hasn't been super-successful in mainstream tourism in the past.
Although that is true, at best there are usually only 1 or 2 direct flights a day from JFK, ATL, MIA, CLT or HOU to those locations too, and then there is only daily service via Inter-Caribbean Airlines from Barbados, while Grenada and St. Lucia are only a few days per week. To be honest, few Americans are going to book a trip to St. Vincent if they are required to make flight connections in Barbados or Grenada @@rachel8022

This is definitely not for just the US market. It’s just that Sandals currently has mentions specifically flights from UK and we were covering what they announced/what we heard when on site so far!

Its definitely not only for Americans and I’m guessing Sandals is in conversation with airlines in the UK.

Good to know! Sandals wasn’t advertising that!

Exactly! I’m guessing more side convos are happening with airlines because Sandals will be a big draw for the island so they will need more flights!

I would not recommend venturing too far away from the resort. This is not the friendliest island. The Grenadine Islands are far safer.
Good to know!
