    I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ruth and Kathleen at the 2014 GP in Austin. Even got meet Nick at an autograph session they had as well and can’t even express how humble and beautiful the Hayden family is. When my sons are older, I will take them on a road trip to visit Nicky’s statue in Kentucky and hopefully to a Grand Prix race in Austin.

    Classy move MotoGP. So tragic and sad the Kentucky kid met such an unexpected end at such a young age. That his accident happened not on a track but while he was out on a public road and not on a motorcycle makes it all the more sad. USA riders on MotoGP are few and far between and it was a tragic loss for not only MotoGP and racing but for the US too.
    RIP Nicky. Your number being retired by MotoGP Is a testament to the mark you have made and the legacy you’ve left. #69 😇🏆🥇☝️👍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁🇺🇸🏁

    Couldn't believe it at first, Didn't want to either. This sport is not for every one. You have to be the best and Nicky was above the best for he became a champion. This sport will give you every thing and in a split second, will take it all back. Wish more folks were like him. I could only dream and imagine when watching Nicky ride. And when watching in slow motion, you're thinking, that's just not possible. Thank you Nicky and Rest In Peace with our Lord.

    Nicky Hayden was one of the best one year wonders (2006) in all of sports, and should be considered as the most influential athletes in America taking part in an Euro-dominated business. RIP #69 🇺🇸

    • @johnjandoh6732
      @johnjandoh6732 5 років тому +3

      To be fair it only became euro-dominated after rossi started winning. And until alex criville started battling with mick doohan in 1996, it was very rare for a european to win a 500cc race let alone a championship. It was dominated by americans and australians, beacuse they had an abundance of talent. But yh when NIcky won it was euro-dominated.

    I had the honor of meeting Nicky on several occasions, the first when he was a leopard-haired teen at Mid Ohio. The Haydens always set the bar for being the most fan-friendly racers in the paddock. It’s really no wonder why Valentino is off his game. He used to love MotoGP, largely because he got to hang out with Nicky and Colin. Now.... urgh.
