Hi Tom, I am about the pull the trigger between ATC SCM 40A and SCM20ASLT both active speakers. In you opinion which is the better of the two in a medium size room for all genres of music? Thanks.
I found same model a pair of used speakers for a very decent price. I'm wondering something. Can I get smc100 level sound If I use a powerful subwoofer with these speakers. I loved smc100 and I want to replicate that warm sound for less money. I hope you answer .
@@Phastm3 Thanks for the reply, i'm hoping i can go audience them soon, also thinking for an amp i might get audiolab 8300mb, rated at 250w into 8 ohms, so 50watts less than your Parasound A21+ i believe.
Yes, the ATC's can handle "alot" of power, but you don't need a lot of power. Do yourself a favor and not buy into that "ATC needing 4.2 million watts of power" hype 🙄. Think about it... it's all about the space their in, room treatment, if necessary. Most importantly, how loud you plan to play them. Keep them for awhile, experiment with them in different rooms or in different positions and let them break in. Because, at the end of the day, it's how they sound to YOU, and not what the forums try to persuade you to think. BTW... I own ATC's too!😊 Enjoy!
i can buy atc scm10 1e model (with the seas or vifa tweeter) what to think about them? 80db/1W/1meter. i never heard them, and no money for a scm 20 or so! the seller want 600euro, hows that?
@@NawMan357 I disagree. Tom is right as anybody can hear it. ATC in theory and in real life needs a lot of power. If you don't provide lot of power you can still enjoy but you will get pulsating disorder in bass region that will affect the braon sooner or later by lowering the volume or similar. So it takes a lot of power to control the bass in compressed box to sound lflzid like music, not too fast and boomy like in many videos on you tube. More quality power - better control. The room is connected with the size of tge spaeker. If you have samller or bigger room then go to scm7, scm19 or even scm40. Active versions are also interesting...
And you think you can tell how it actually sounds to the point of mentioning the mid tones, even though it may be the recording equipment, the UA-cam Audio quality OR your equipment, which is adding many more variables. Yeah ... thought so!
Beautiful sound, more videos with this combo please.
Finally a video that puts the amp at work for testing. I had enough of other videos where they are just talking and no testing.
Looks like an awesome setup!
Tom congrats - excellent combo and sound. you have hit the synergy between parasound and atc
Agree a great sound here, but he's changed his system about 27 times since then. ;)
@@connorduke4619 you are provably right, and i saw many of his systems but this was worth of my response.
Wow that sounds amazing!!!
Parasound and ATC sound good...there is also the McIntosh and sub woofer that complete the sound 😉😉😉
Excellent! How do you like this vs the Harbeth?
I have the same combo and think it's a terrific match! Itching to add a tube preamp....
I’ve had a few tube preamps. Audio research was my favorite
@@Phastm3 Will check out AR! Thanks

I would go with the scm 40a.
@@Phastm3 Thanks for reaching out. Any reason for choosing the SCM40A and are there any concerns with over powering my space with bass?
Great sound but with subwoofer; the questions then arise ATC SCM11 with subwoofer or ATC SCM 19....?
This is one of the best amp using on ATC
Hello, Go you have any experiences with ATC SCM 19 and SCM 20SL? Which is better value for money? Thanks.
what do you think about mcintosh electronics conpare to you other pre and amps?
Power cord and speaker cables?
I don’t remember what cables I was using in this video. The speaker cables look like the entry level cerious cables
@@Phastm3 okey..recording sounds lil fwd so asked. Both amps are neutral though
@@niksworld100 I think that dac was forward. I would not recommend it
@@Phastm3 most likely...
What stands do you have for the speakers? Thanks

This sounds good. Most of the systems on UA-cam don’t sound this good. What microphone?
What’s better focal electrA 1028be or these or focal aria 948
bob zealand I like the atc the best. Clean, accurate but a little on the inefficient side. Way cheaper too.
How did you connect Auralic Aries G1 to parasound. You didnt need pre amplifier ?
Vijoy Vv I had a McIntosh D150 dac/preamp in there
When you hear just the intro, you are already sold to this combo
Have kids? How are stand mounts with kids?
Nice system and sub! I have scm 7's 11's and 100's. Great for 5.1 surround sound. DD18+ for LFE.
Which is better this or the wharfdale?
I would say the ATC are better, but need a lot more power if you have a large room and need high volume levels
@@Phastm3 Thanks for the reply. What are they compared to the Silverline speakers? Are they better than the ATCs?
Sounds incredible I am planning on buying scm11 or 7.
Wow, very good sound and song. What song is this?
keep the wolves away by uncle lucius. was curious too to play it on my system to compare 😂
very good ! what wires do you use ?
vladimir реактивный I have audioquest power cables and interconnects. Acoustic zen hologram speaker cables
You still love the A21+? I am in the market...thanks.
I replaced it with a Krell 300XD amp. The Krell actually was much better sounding than the Parasound. The Krell sells for about $5k on the used market
Как я хочу себе этот усилитель!!!
Great Setup, how are you finding the ATC SCM 11V2, i'm thinking of upgrade to them. Also how do they sound for home theatre purposes?
Thanks Joe
They are great so far, but they need a lot of power. They can handle tons of power and not lose their composure.

Very upfront sound
is the sub active ?
sami salti yes
👍
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Were you using the sub?
Yes
use with Rotel ra 1592 amplifier ! decent sound
remove more video please with any other track!
Could be UA-cam but sounds mid-range fatiguing.
there is something destroying the precious mid tone of your speakers. It is so terrible. If it is your sub, please turn it off?
Sure. Let me get into my time machine and turn off that sub
