Plus, wisdom teeth removal should never require that multitude of intravenous drug introduction post surgery. They gave her goofy pills and sent her home.

Did anyone else act normal after their wisdom teeth removal? I was perfectly fine after. I remember waking up, I remember the car ride home, I remember watching TV when I got home. There are literally no holes in my memory other than the actual surgery.
I was normal only because I was awake for the whole thing because I couldn't get the knock out gas
I had my wisdom teeth out when I was ateenager and I was awake for the whole operation. They just numbed my mouth and went to work, topping up the anesthetic when they had to chop one of the teeth into a few separate pieces in order to get it out.
After all the teeth were removed I was able to go home straight away. I wasn't given any drug that would make me high, I was just prescribed a fairly strong painkiller from the hospital pharmacy for the next few days. A nurse went and collected it for me and then I headed home.
I'm in the UK, I don't know if it's different where Fillian lives or if her operation was more complicated for some reason.
I barely remember getting home, but I perfectly remember being unable to eat ice cream, as I guess I still couldn't feel my mouth. Apparently, the disappointed look on my face was hilarious.

Need someone to distract me, just get me yammering about a special interest until I'm talked out. If I get stuck trying to figure out how anesthetic works that'll keep me busy.
