This is wonderful and all that I'm working with the unable, unwilling, and children, which mey include the far too willing. Are there instrutctional videos for those who are working with children, surprized middle agers, and constantly surprised elderly willing volunteers?
I've been ringing a long time, since I was 4 in 1957, im no brilliant ringing. I have never understood place notation. I learnt all the ,methods in the standard and rang a peal of four spliced. I know ringers who are freaks, they conduct methods and seem to know where everybody should be and i can never work out how they do it. I understand or look for symmetry and mirror images but the way I learnt 8 splices was to go through all the methods and learn the lines and of coursexplace bells. I got some business cards and then wrote on one side the method and the place. On the other side i simple drew the blue line from the place bell to the next place bell. I had 7 cards per method and with 8 methods I had 56 cards. I then shuffled the cards and then picked them from the top and tried to remember the blue line then turn it over to look. It appears to work.
