I went to Spain in 2018 and my rental car turned out to be an Audi Q3. I fell in love and vowed that my next car was going to be a Q3. However, the car I had at the time was a Nissan Altima and even though it was an '07 with 250K klicks, it was still running like a charm and in all good conscience I couldn't get rid of it - until a woman in a Lincoln cut across my path and I couldn't stop in time - totaled! So now I'm driving my Q3 and absolutely LOVE IT. This thing has everything and I'll swear that if I knew which buttons to press, it would make me a ham and cheese sandwich. There are better SUVs on the market as far as gas mileage is concerned but I'm retired and don't drive as much as I used to as a sales rep. So I don't really care. By the way, thanks for a great video. (Oops! I should have put that at the top).
Instead of calling it 'cheapest' call it 'least expensive' or 'lowest cost' SUV. Saying 'cheapest' infers that it is inferior in quality. Keep this in mind for all your reviews. Almost bought one of these, the Q3 Prestige model, but ended up with a 2019 VW Arteon SEL Premium R-Line. More options and with a better warranty. But no doubt this is a fine SUV!
I was considering a '19 or '20 Q3 several months ago and discovered some troubling problems people were having with them. In my research i found people were having trouble with the auto stop-start system and leaking sunroofs. The leaking sunroofs were so prevalent that someone reported that not only was their sunroof leaking but their Q3 loaner was also leaking.

Liked the video. As the owner of a 2020 Q3 I can say it was pretty spot on. Please note, I’m getting much better milage than it’s rated, I got 34 mpg on a trip down to myrtle beach. Also car has been totally trouble free. Loving it.
@@aic0809 well, a few. Issues have cropped up. Clock and trip odometers reset themselves every week or so. There’s a TSB out on issue but fix not expected until third quarter of 21. My car went into limp mode and dashboard lit up a couple of weeks ago. Issue was fixed by dealer under another TSB. Issue is tied to start stop system. A rattle when cold. But overall, still pretty happy.
@@TccMCS Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question. I really appreciate it because in the spring/early summer, I will be buying a new car and am looking at the sub-compact luxury vehicle class. I’ve test driven the Audi Q3 and the Volvo XC-40. I’m not really sold on the BMW X1 so it’s really a tie between Audi and Volvo. I love how the Audi looks, but I’ve been concerned about maintenance and quality control, so it’s very helpful to hear from owners. If you don’t mind another question, what is your actual mileage like?
@@aic0809 going to the beach this summer, I got over 30 mpg. But that was under ideal conditions, max speed 55 mph 2 lane roads, no traffic. That’s the best I’ve ever seen. Normally, around 19-24
Got to say Guys the fuel economy is terrible but on the brighter side other vehicles are available ! Keep on doing your thing by bringing us the knowledge !
Hey Host, nice review. Request you to suggest me which car is better Audi Q3 or Volvo XC40. Both cars would be top trim and fully loaded. Please pick one.
@12:45 Mason: 'You could easily fit four / five adults back here'.... Should we expect to see the new and improved 'Sitting on Mason and Drews' Lap' backseat test with smile index (featuring the University of Kentucky cheerleading squad? 🙈
Yes I agree with what you said about this giving the Q5 (not the SQ5) a run for it's money despite the disappointing fuel economy. This tango red takes the cake! This is why Audi stands for Amazing Unbelievable Driving Impressions 😎
It's nice, but the gas mileage sucks. Also, I don't think Audi would appreciate you using the word "cheapest" to describe their cars. The proper description is entry level luxury. ;-)
This or the Golf R? I I'll take the Golf R with a more highly tuned version of the same EA888 engine (292 hp/280 ft lbs vs 228 hp/258 ft lbs) and equivalent AWD. Though 8" less in length the Golf has nearly the same legroom in the back seat (35.6" vs 36.1") and more overall cargo space (53 cubic ft vs 48 cf). All at an MSRP of several thousand dollars less than the Q3. All in all, less car for more money. Unless you're a badge snob there's little reason to choose the Audi.
Drew, I'm so loving the blue you're wearing in this review and alright Mason with a tan. Looks like it was certainly an amazing weather day in Lexington during filming of this review. It's very interesting how Audi is yet using a switchblade key on its 2020 Q3. I drive a 2014 Jetta with push button start, and my car has a switchblade style key. I think it's a Audi/VW thing. This is just a thought when you're testing vehicle storage space in the front, how do you guys feel about using a tablet, iPad, phone, or water bottle? Absolutely nothing wrong in using coupons, I love that you two keep coupons on hand, I'm all about coupons.
Family has a 2018 Q5, I just test drove a 2020 Q5, Tiguan and a Q3. I'm gonna have to say that the Q3 feels much more like the Tiguan (except the size) in terms of everything. Sure it's a bit more posh and solid and faster but it does not have the confidence, rigidity, luxury and inherent comfort that comes with the Q5. If you are after practicality, spend much, much less, get a Tiguan, it's better looking than the Q3 IMO and its interior is good enough, save up for a Q5 down the line.
I test drove an audi q3 vs a mazda cx5. Disappointed with the Audi, the interior is nice but the engine and driving dynamics is just disappointing compared to the cx5. Cx5 just have more bang for your buck

I would honestly take this over the x1 or the gla

Don’t say “cheap,” use “least expensive.” “Cheap” denotes don’t want it, bad, would never buy it.

I love the 2020 Audi Q3 it’s very nice and a great price!!!
What would be better?
audi Q3? vs bmw x2? vs MB gla? vs lexus NX?
Our personal preference would be this Q3. But make sure to check them all out in person of you can!
Great review of a very nice vehicle. Not my choice in the segment but it makes a strong argument to be at the top of the list.
Thanks! 😊

XC40
42k for an entry levelAudi. Sounds about right. Nice review
Similar price to BMW and Mercedes
That same reverse system is on my brothers 2011 Audi A4 Prestige
Best suv to me is this & Volvo xc40 which one would you say is better?
Why does audi /vw eliminate the auto hold feature from models in North America??
Are you sure you can fit 4 or 5 adults back there @12:47? :)
😂
A lot of space in the back seats impressed and a lot of features for a small car
2021 GLA or 2021 Q3?
Q3. I own it and drove several of the cars in the segment.
The cabin noise seems to be a lot...but maybe the style makes up for it.
Drew and Mason, are there any breaks in your case involving the Keyed Tesla?
Unfortunately, no 😔
New smile meter. I like it
Is this the 40TFSI or the 45TFSI?
Wow! Awesome video guys!😸😸

Great review 👍
how far off is this from the q5? in terms of ride quality and build?
Not far at all. We would definitely suggest driving them both back-to-back to see if the Q5 is worth the extra money to you

Wow that old key. They should have added ventilated seats on the Prestige trim.

Hope you have an enjoyable weekend as well 🙂
Is it better than Acura RDX?
No way, Love this little guy but the RDX is better in every way
The auto stop is not good for your engine, and your starter, turn that function off so your car can last longer

Wow you like awesome in that outfit drew! perfect and handsome for the summer! so excited for you to bring out the Maserati reviews soon!
Horrible gas mileage. Q3 Sportback is better looking, though not available in the States.
Wish we had that one!
Manuel tilt. Heathens.
It’s like a VW on the inside. Well they are the same company so that’s why
where is auto hold ?
Audi's don't have that feature, in the U.S at least
