I’ve had the MistFlow since the US launch & it really is great! Works perfectly with all my automations, scenes & HomePods! Their native app is alright but I just use HomeKit to control it. They also have frequent app updates which is always great.

I’ve not had the chance to play
With this one yet, but the Flowerbud difusor is an appreciated part of my connected home. I use it daily! Great review as always!

If you buy a Vocolinc MistFlow/FlowerBud be sure to properly check the product before use! I bought one of their FlowerBud diffusers and unbeknownst to me, it was missing the rear rubber foot. This made it lean ever so slightly, but it was enough that when filled to the max water level and running, the water leaked into the electronics underneath and it shorted out! Thankfully no one was hurt and no damage was done (apart from the FloweBud), returned to Amazon for full refund.

Thanks Andrew! By the way, what is the name of your water bottle?

How good is it to use essential oils with it? Because vocolinc did specify to use water soluble essential oils which most of them being sold on the net (Amazon etc) aren't water soluble. Does it damage the device to use the regular essential oils?

Is this still one of the only ones?

I have this as well as an Onvis motion/humidity/temperature sensor in my room, and I get conflicting readings on humidity from both. I’ve seen online people say the vocolinc mistflo humidity readings are inaccurate

Ecobe can control a number of humidifiers and supports HomeKit.

can ecobee control humidifiers like this, or only ones that are a part of an HVAC set up?

Can you really change the intensity with HomeKit or does the slider only act as an on-off switch? Some reviewers stated that.

You have both on/off control as well as the ability to change the fan speed. You have 5 different speed levels to choose between! I double checked to be sure!

I had the flower bud but it never worked right. They gave me my money back with no hassle and let me keep the light (that part worked). Based off their good customer service and this review, I will give them another chance. Also, along the same lines, could everyone hit Dyson up on Twitter and tell them to get their heads out of their asses and add Homekit support to their fans and humidifiers. Same for Haiku fans. I am so sick of fan companies that feel they need to build their own app ecosystem. Would you please just build really great fans, and leave the ecosystem stuff to the people that build really great ecosystems?

Not even once opened the home app to demonstrate how it integrates into the native system. Dislike!

Homekit of this device is a gimmick. You have to refill oil manually. A cheap diffuser with auto shut off is more convenient and have less steps to operate.

You know when a product is crappy when you need to talk for almost a third of the video about the lights it can produce if it’s main function is doing something else. Also…increase of 11% after an hour…cmon. Just turn on the water heater and let it boil with the lid open for about 5 min and you get the same effect. What a worthless product imho.

The problem with these small appliances is that they are - in the end - way more expensive and less effective than built-in systems.
Your HVAC people can add air purification (HEPA), UV light to kill viruses and break down VOCs, dehumidification or humidification, ERV/HRV (fresh air with heat recovery) to your central air system and you will use less electricity and get much more effective results. It will also be quieter and will be repairable by HVAC pros.

But they don’t work on a room by room basis and many people don’t own homes and can’t do that.
