Club Lunch - Departing Thoughts from Thomas Gnocchi

Ambassador Thomas Gnocchi has been the Head of the EU Delegation to Hong Kong and Macao for the past 4 years but will soon be taking up a new assignment in Tokyo, Japan. Before his departure, he will be speaking at the FCC to share his closing thoughts on the experiences he has had in his role and what the future may hold for the relationship between Hong Kong and Europe.
Gnocchi arrived in Hong Kong during the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic and just shortly after Beijing’s National Security Law was enforced upon the city. Throughout his tenure, he has commented widely on issues relating to security, business, law, and other sectors that bridge Hong Kong and Macao to the EU.
