This is a great wood project book ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxkPIWb22DigCqxmlXerCyUF4HCl6eSU2L . Most of the projects use the pallet simply as a source of reclaimed wood not as a recognizable pallet so even if you didn't have a pallet you could make these projects with any reclaimed (or even new) wood. The instructions are excellent. The style is charming and would work with lots of different decor. There are quite a number of projects that involve tiling of teh wood pieces which is a really cool idea and can produce beautiful pieces when working with aged wood.
So the drill that makes square holes doesn't really do it? I'm sure I saw one working once. Do you also blunt your tool so it takes longer to do the job? (I'm having you on with that!) 🤣
Woodworking takes so much time as it is, I can’t imagine how long this video took. Each frame would entail going to a real saw, making a tiny portion of a cut, removing the saw dust and debris, placing the piece back exactly where you initially took it from, likely in a totally different room than the shop, then taking a picture. Repeat 2300 times. Amazing.
But when you frame it relative to the difficulty of stop motion in general, it's not so much extreme anymore. Some other stop motion are incredibly more meticulous
It COULD be done by masking and revealing more in each image in After Effects or something, but I'd wager he does it the old-fashioned way from the shadows alone. There have to be markers or something that are used to keep the corners of the wood consistent between shots to help speed up the process. Otherwise, this would take so long
I swear omozoc shows up every few months, drops the most beautiful joinery work possible in front of us as a single frame of stop-motion animation, then leaves without a word. Absolute legend

I used to work in a factory making furniture and my job was literally to beat the furntiure with tools, most common tool was just a string with nuts and bolts attached to it, would just bash the wood with it. Easy job and paid well, they make you damage the wood so that it looks like its supposed to look that way as opposed to revieving furniture that is prisitine and then somone accidently knocks a lump out of it and all you can ever see is the lump in a pristine chair

I commend this person's skill with a saw to be able to make partial cuts for each frame yet still end with a clean cut.
