I walked onto a lava flow in the National Park. It was a long, hot walk then I watched lava flow out of a crack in the earth. The most amazing thing I've ever seen.
I love SPAM. I grew up on it as an Army brat. It was cheap. We would have it plain, fried, BBQ'd. ground up and mixed with other meat as an extender, grilled, and cut up in soups and stews.
The absolute best times in my life were spent in Hawaii. For five glorious years I was fortunate to enjoy the beauty and the reverence of Oahu. I worked at Pearl Harbor and every time I walked where Heroes walked I felt humbled. The USS Arizona Memorial always made me weep knowing there were Heroes entombed forever in their stricken ship under my feet. I loved Hawaii!

Wow never knew you could fix spam that way. Spam was a staple in our home in Tn. Couldn’t help but think of Steve Irwin when I saw you with the Rays. I know with Steve it was a Sting Ray. ♥️❤️🥰♥️❤️
Musubi is delicious, probably due to all the salt in it. I have always removed the seaweed because it tastes exactly what I imagined seaweed tastes like.
Chris, do you know what has built the islands? I do! The islands were built over a "HOT SPOT". Because of Plate Tectonics, the land has moved over the hot spot. Yellow Stone in Wyoming, mainland USA is over a HOT SPOT also. The last time it blew up it was in Idaho, again it is about plate tectonics! I have learned all of this from a geology professor at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, named Nick Zentner.

Spam, rice, seaweed and soy sauce was about the only thing that kept me going during the near 4 months of undiagnosed adrenal insufficiency and was vomiting nearly everything that I consumed/drank-> along with Gatorade that I mixed myself (Gatorade powder and water).
Fantastic photography and what a great adventure, thanks for sharing. Only thing is I have been a vegetarian since I was 17 a million years ago and I cannot believe a veterinarian eats meat! Lol.

I hate to tell y'all but the lava is a creation of God. Of course I guess that's not a easy idea for some. But Pele is a mythical being started years ago by the first people to the islands. Yes it's a good story but remember all things that happen on Earth are caused by God. Just like with climate change, all is controlled by God. Sorry, Dr Chris but I would rather go to Hawaii than to Australia, but it's just a wish. I hope you enjoyed other adventures in Hawaii than visiting a volcano and looking at the giant manta rays though they were interesting more so than the volcano but then that's me. Happy trails to you and God bless.
I don't know about you guys but that musubi does look delicious! 😋 What is your favourite but strange food? 🍖

We were poor and it was cheap. But I love it fried with mustard. It’s a handy staple during a hurricane, too.

Lmao, Chris looks scared and as if he wants to cry while eating that musubi 😂
He really powered through it haha 😂
Well Chris...it is alive. It is primordial Mother Earth. Thanks for the amazing footage of the lava growing, moving, living and evolving.
Every household in Hawaii has Spam in their cupboards. For a quick dinner, my dad would eat spam, eggs over easy, and rice. It was simple but filling.
Breakfast of champions!

Chris was right up close to Lava Patches. Oooooo! That's something.

I worked with a guy from Hawaii and he couldn't praise Spam enough, xD. Put it in everything.
I guess the movie "50 first dates" was true to the Spam. Chris's hair is real curly to other times.

Hello Dr Chris.. Does the sushi taste good? Thanks for sharing this video.. ❤😊
SPAM is sooo good! Wouldn't eat it every day, but oh yea! ❤

It IS alive. As is Mt. Rainier, visible from my home, and of course Mt. St. Helen’s.
He look like an unhappy camper 🤣
Love the popeye the sailor man t shirt!
❤❤❤❤❤
I can't say I know anyone who eats a footlong of musabi in one sitting, but it was entertaining to watch 😂
Hello Alana...?
You can always use the low sodium spam, and find another wrapper other than seaweed, which is salty all on it's own
Love fried spam in bread. I only eat one piece.
When a resident of Nome, AK, goes to Hawaii for Christmas they run into their neighbors there.

I have tried spam as a child but can’t bring myself to eat it as an adult. Love sushi though.
Great!!
Hawaii is awesome
I prefer Maui. That pic at the opening with you on that shirt, yuk. You aretoo handsome to wear that big of a shirt
we asians LOVE spam!!! footlong musubi though? thats a bit overkill but nonetheless delicious.
You can never have too much musubi! 😋

Seaweed!

How did you feel after eating that musubi?! You really didn't look too good...
I'm sure Chris was fine... Mostly 😳
Never had Spam.
I hated spam at school

Orang Manado tu cowog itu no🙏
How unhealthy is spam….Dr. Chris in all his glory is panting while walking after eating that foot long!
Can’t they build a new path for the lava to go to the sea rather than in the direction of homes?
Hey hey be careful that how Steve died. He was my animal hero. It took me so long to find a new one
No these are Manta Rays , they do not have barbs/stingers...Steve accident very rare was Sting Ray..totally diff...he safe 😉
That is one of the unhealthiest fast foods you can put in your body.. 😮and why heart disease kills so many.🤢🥴
I thought Australia was a continent....
That is what killed steve erwin it punctured his heart i believe
I got nervous seeing Chris swimming with the Stingrays because of Steve Irwin being barbed by one.
I believe that was a manta ray not a sting ray . I don’t know if Manta rays have the sharp end to their tail. Manta ray did not kill SI.
Eeewwww
