    Nice video! I'm considering getting the Hyper 212 Halo for my build, but I'm kind of lost. Never really used an air cooler outside of the stock AMD Wraith that came with my Ryzen 5 4500, so I'm wondering if this would be an improvement in terms of temperature and noise (my mobo doesn't have pwm control, so I'm not sure if this would be an issue...), or if I need to look for something more expensive
    Also, is the ARGB of coolers like this (or even the panel in Deepcool's AK400 Digital, which I'm also considering) compatible with those third party RGB hubs? My mobo doesn't have ARGB control either :P If so, can I get any brand of those hubs/controllers, or would I need to get a Cooler Master one specifically?

    • @ALKtech
      @ALKtech  Місяць тому

      Glad you found the video useful! The Hyper 212 Halo Black in this video's gonna be a massive improvement over the stock AMD Wraith, you won't go wrong with it for your Ryzen 5 4500! Out of curiosity, what mobo are you using? I'd think that most modern AM4 motherboards should have a four-pin PWM fan header for the CPU cooler!
      That said, the aRGB connectors on CPU cooler fans/AIOs etc are compatible across the board with different brands of aRGB/fan hubs - you don't have to get a Cooler Master aRGB/fan hub just because you're gonna use a Cooler Master CPU cooler - any brand will do. Hope this helps!

      @@ajay4747x 60-65 degrees Celsius while gaming is a pretty good result, don't worry! You probably don't have to get a contact frame since your temperatures are pretty decent, and it's not like you're using a super high-end processor for overclocking or whatever, so I'd personally just save the money!
      That said, no harm adding two 120mm fans on your PC case's top panel, this should further help airflow in your case for sure. Hope this helps!

      It should handle a 7600X fine, but for a 7800X3D, I'd look at a beefier cooler with perhaps six heatpipes instead!

      I'd suggest looking at an air cooler with at least six heat pipes for the 13600K, the Hyper 212 Halo Black in this review would be more well-suited for non-K i5 processors (e.g. 13400, 13500).

    • @ALKtech

      The Halo Black can be considered an update to the Black Edition - the Halo Black sports a sleeker-looking aesthetic with an aluminium top-plate that obscures the ends of the heat pipes, better mounting/installation hardware, and a new MF120 HALO 2 fan (versus the SF120R RGB fan that the Black Edition comes with)!

      I'd have to check but in this footage the cooling tower itself looks thinner. Common sense says that less surface area means the cooling performance would be worse. That could just be the footage but it should be easy enough to find dimensions of the cooler and compare
