Reminder: the general public all saw a goetia prince show up, claim he committed crimes and got an imp framed inadvertently and wanted to take credit because he thought said imp was too stupid to do it. Of course, they're gonna hate him, ESPECIALLY now that they can do it without repercussions since he isn't a prince anymore.
I hope that his staying with Blitz after the fact can help repair his reputation among the people, possibly even eventually improve it as he's going to live among them and learn more about their life and struggles for the next century. The fact that their hero is defending said Goetia Prince even after that display might help over time.
Nah, Imps didn’t see Stolas sacrifice himself for another imp. What they saw a royal prince confessing to using an imp to do his dirty work. And that’s why they hate Stolas.
I was wondering if maybe they just weren't paying attention. Stolas just straight up sings about being the Mastermind behind a plot to blame his Imp for his crimes.
@@ChristinaMagma Exactly! What imps saw: “A royal confesses to trying to turn Hell upside down. Said royal is then let go with basically a slap on the wrist while the imp he used for his dirty work was going to be executed.”
I love how Bee and Ozzie were standing up for Blitzø, and Vasago is awesome for insisting on a fair trial. Good to know IMP has allies higher up the social ladder.
Visago shows up in two real life demonology books and both state he either a fair person or does good in any work he does one few demons who is universaly deacribed as a benevolent spirit
Stella and Andrealphus have just earned the title of most hated Helluva boss characters. I’m so worried about Octavia as she may be manipulated by Stella.
The “You never loved mother and you don’t love me, you love him” line? Yeah that’s not her talking that’s probably the manipulation her mother has influenced on her. I just rewatched the trailer to see the scenes and lines we haven’t heard & seen yet. There’s also a couple scenes where Blitz and Stolas are outside Stolas’ house who is guarded by Andrealphus. So the next episode’s plot is probably gonna be about saving Octavia.
I think Lucifer simply doesn't care about these things, in Hazibin hotel we see that he hates hell and that he spends all the time thinking about his ducks
The way Stella was hugging Octavia to comfort her while at the same time smiling so evilly thinking Stolas was about to die, I've never wanted to sucker punch a fictional character more in my life.
@@NoitNoit-ef2yq You're joking right? Did you not fucking see her strangling a fucking animal in the picture Paimon showed Stolas in the flashback episode? She's always been a fucking psychopath.
@@NoitNoit-ef2yqLet's not paint her as some "victim of the system." If anything, she is the victimizer and perpetrator of those issues. Valentino is an absolute bastard, but let's not act like because Stella doesn't have a wrinkle in her bird brain to actually enact a worthwhile scheme that she isn't just a hateful, spiteful bitch, openly demeaning her partner at every chance *before* Blitzø and then trying to get him killed after, then showing up occasionally just to taunt, belittle, and also apparently physically abuse Stolas as well.
That song with Blitzø and Stolas both admiting how much they care for each other is so good. Also, I love the detail of Fizz being so concerned about Blitzø now.
ME TOO!!! He almost drops his phone because of how quickly he was going. I feel so bad for him, and Ozzie. Imagine how useless Ozzie must of felt knowing he couldn’t do anything for his boyfriends best friend☹️
I do wonder if this implied that Helluva Boss takes place before Hazbin Hotel and whether the empty throne for Lucifer meant this trial took place while Lucifer isolated himself in his depression before reconnecting with Charlie in Hazbin Hotel. Or maybe this trial takes place after Hazbin Hotel and while Lucifer rebuilds the Hazbin Hotel and helps run it with Charlie, but he just disregards this trial since he feels he has more bigger personal priorities?
@@milkiassamuel780We don’t really know how much time passes in HB in its entirety, all we know is that maybe Loona watched Charlie perform “inside of every demon is a rainbow” live on television back in the pilot which would imply the later episodes of HB take place long after HH as HH season 1 takes place in about 6 months. The point stands though that no matter what time the shows occur, Lucifer probably wouldn’t show up for the court anyway. Either he’s busy being a recluse making ducks or he’s helping Charlie with the hotel. He hasn’t been active in hell for some time so the other sins can function fine without him, and regardless, the implication that Satan was here before Lucifer makes it possible Satan himself outranks Lucifer as he is also the judge and creator of imps.
@@itsturniptime3699 Lucifer was first and Satan doesn't outrank him. Vivienne confirmed this on x/twitter/whatever because she knew people would misunderstand
@ was that new confirmation like today or the old chart from years ago because if she dropped a new confirmation that’s cool but if not things could have changed
You know, Vivzie posted on twitter that when Satan says he “ruled before the golden angels fall” 16:09 meaning Lucifer, he’s lying because Lucifer isn’t there. That’s why you see Ozzie and Bee roll their eyes at that line because the sins are the only ones that know he’s lying
Another detail that I haven't really seen pointed out is the design of the door to the courtroom. It has six slots for the other sins, and one larger slot at the top depicting Lucifer's six wings, the serpent, and the apple, showing he is still above all of them.
@@myrkrormrI mean if your the strongest of the rest and literally get to make the laws cuz the actual boss is goofing off somewhere else yah might get a bit over your head too
Lucifer was the most beautiful angel in heaven, but tried to take it over and god then I believe created hell mainly for them satan and the fallen angels helluva Boss takes a ton of inspiration from the Bible, and as a Christian and a fan of this show since ep 1 I absolutely love that.
Even Bee, the embodiment of Gluttony, looks at the way Mammon eats like "What the _fuck?"_ When Blitzø is checking his emails at the end, the "HIRE ME PLZ!!!!" email is the guy from IMP's commercial in the pilot that "lovingly murdered his wife".
@@umapessoa240 because being glutonous doesn´t mean you´re automatically fat....i think that was the choice because being fat because of it is a stereotype
It feels like Mammon wants to be all of the Sins He's Greed, he's Gluttonous, he's Lazy (He doesn't even do clown shit anymore), He was trying to make moves on Leviathan (Lust), He turned to Wrath when Fizz quit on him, he's full of himself (Pride), the only thing I can't pinpoint exactly with example is envy but I am sure we will see it
I love how if you're paying attention, because it's like one frame, but even Verosika is just as worried as Fizz. God next season/ the next few episodes are gonna be wild
*just one episode left this season, sinsmas, december. Hopefully it won't be too long a wait till season 3. I assume hazbin season 2 is pretty much done, so hopefully viv can focus on season 3 of helluva boss for a bit.
@bryanmoberg8408 I hope Via gets to see Stolas is alive and they can have time together, it'll be so much bullshit if she gets manipulated by Stella's two-faced ass while stolas is deposed.
@@lastace5422 Tbh I was expecting Leviathan to be a small goblin you know that wants to be taller and Belphegor a hippie because if your the embodiment of sloth then you’d pretty much be chill and laid back 😎.
I love Satans design. I definitely wasn’t expecting it but I do think Leviathans design is cool. Belphegore is actually somewhat similar to what I expected, also like the designs. I wasn’t expecting to see the designs for all of the Sins this episode, but overall I like them
@@enderethan144 honestly, I'd assumed leviathan would look relatively human, I presumed it was the guy we lucifer with in a photo on the wall in his home (who is, i think, charlie's old boyfriend's dad) That or...i'd kinda assumed Alastor was leviathan, given his entire persona is built around wanting power and wanting souls. Instead it's just another one of the fish people, which makes sense I suppose. Belphegor makes sense given all the hospital scenes (which i believe are in sloth) feature similar goat/baphomet looking characters.
If you look at the designs of the deadly sins it totally makes sense on their designs because its based on the majority citizens in their rings. Greed and Wrath have the most imps because thats what their heads look like. Gluttony has the majority of hellhounds including the pounds cuz Bee looks like a Bee/Fox mix. Ozzie looks like a rooster because I think most of lust is succubus/goetia. Levy being a two headed eel makes sense as Envy is an ocean and most of the aquatic demons come from there. Belphegor being a goat makes total sense cuz counting sheep to sleep and the Sloth ring's hospitals tend to have goats. Lucifer is the only human looking one due to being a fallen angel and the sinners of Pride are former humans.
Harvey Guillen as Vassago is awesome casting. Also Stolas getting a slap on the wrist for what would have cost Blitzo his life? Gotta "love" that two-tier justice system.
I agree, but in a messed up way it does make sense. Stolas is a powerfull demon with vast knowledge. They dont have that many goetic demons because they are all unique. Imps come in thousands.
I honestly don't think I ever went straight to a video notification so quick. You guys make really good videos and i look forward to seeing what you make for next year.
@@sortastupidFinally, it is confirmed that of the seven deadly sins, only Lucifer is originally a fallen "golden" angel. it wasn't until this reaction that i noticed that after Stolas's powers are taken away, his pupils are constantly glowing, which wasn't the case before. I know they typically come out when he's overwhelmed with emotion, so that could just be the case here, but if they continue to stay lit after his powers are gone that's a neat detail. This also just leaves the blitz protecting stolas clip we saw in the trailer when Andre attacks him, which now makes sense since he can't defend himself anymore
This episode went so hard, And I loved every second of it! While I hated seeing IMP on trial, It was nice to see all of the Sins in one place especially Beelzebub I'm happy to see that Kesha reprised her role as the character! Just as I was happy to see that at least Bee and Asmodeus were willing to defend Blitz and friends, knowing that two of the 7 had their backs was just the best! But it totally sucked that Stolas was stripped of his status and is now a commoner. But at least they were all spared from execution, And now pretty much all the Imps and other lower-class demons in Hell have IMP's back! It gives off a real vibe of "They won the battle, but they haven't won the war." And knowing Stella and Andrealphus they're definitely still not done with Stolas and IMP yet. They may have taken Stolas's job, his royal status, custody of his daughter, And accidentally gained plenty of business for IMP. But Stella and Andrealphus are still going to try and kill them all. But anyway, I was glad that the episode had a somewhat happy ending! I was so happy to finally see Blitz and Loona hug!!! But I feel so bad for Stolas he lost everything, but I just know he'll get everything back by the end of the series!
Technically 2 out of the 6 has his back. At this point, we don't know if Charlie has already rubbed off some of her "redemption" ideals on Lucifer or not... but I guess we'll never find out since he was AWOL in this episode 🤣
I love how Stolas and Blitzo have their positions reversed at the end of the episode. Blitzo is now a hero to his imps and beloved by them. Meanwhile, Stolas is now a disgraced royalty. His situation is also worsened because now the imps and other lower demons that hate royals can go after him without fearing consequences.
On the other hand, there wouldn't be much point in going after somebody who has already lost everything else - no position to take, no riches to stea, not much to gloat about.
Loona: Hey um I'm so glad you're ok I love you dad. Oh my god what a beautiful moment between Loona and Blitz. I love that she's finally starting to slowly show more of her softer and caring side. And that's going to continue throughout the rest of the show. As someone who's been adopted multiple times before finding my forever home I know how she feels. She has major trust issues but she's starting to overcome those which is great to see. Me and Loona have so much in common she's also my favourite character in Helluva Boss too.
20:21 He insulted imps when he sang mastermind he essentially said "Why would I let an imp die and let their kind rise above and see him as a hero who represented them, when I can claim that my plan wasnt made by some stupid (he called blitzø an idiot and a fool) imp and I should have credit for it
And just like that, I absolutely adore Vasago. We have now seen all the 7 deadly sins, also don't believe Satan when he says he was here before Lucifer, he's lying
I think the best part of Stolas’ mastermind song is that if you watched it out of context and didn’t know much of the show you’d probably think he was actually an evil mastermind
I think it’s interesting that out of all the Sins we’ve met so far, Mammon is the only one who has totally given in to their respective sin (in this case, Greed). Oz (Lust) is all about consent, and he’s in a romantic relationship. Bee (Gluttony) is fine with getting wasted, but didn’t like the reasons or way that Blitzø was doing it. Satan (Wrath) has a little guy who keeps him calm. Lucifer (Pride) is, admittedly, full of himself, but he still cares about Charlie and her hotel idea. Don’t know enough about Leviathan (Envy) or Belphegor (Sloth), but the latter seems rather sleepy.
Definitely. But also, Lucifer was never really into ruling hell, that was subtly credited to Lilith. Charlie stated in the intro that Lilith thrived while Lucifer fell into depression. And I don't think he'd truly be more interested in ruling hell and dealing with Imp trials after season one of hazbin.
God I love Patrick Page (Satan’s voice actor). He was great as Hades in “Hadestown”, and was the only good part of that Spider-Man Broadway musical as the Green Goblin
Satan was 100% talking out of his ass when he claimed to rule Hell before Lucifer. He even said "What in Lucifer's Hell is this?!" when Stolas showed up (Not to mention the looks of disapproval on Asmodeus and Beelzebub's faces)
When he interrupted the song I thought he was going to start singing one of his songs (mainly the part of the song where he's listing things till he goes 🎶 SING FOR AN OLD MAAAAANNNN🎶) like 🎶sing little song bird🎶 ........ huh? Hades realy likes it when people sing 😂 they picked the perfect person to play satan
Before going into the lore behind the Vassago from demonological lore, a fun fact about his design: His design first appeared way back in the Hazbin Hotel pilot among the Overlords when Vaggie was saying the line "Many have speculated what unimaginable forces enabled him to rival our world's most ancient and destructive evils". Speaking of design: The most common depiction of him I've seen is a humanoid riding a crocodile. But since he isn't depicted in the Ars Goetia and the Goetia demons are mostly birds, I think his design in the show makes sense. Speaking of "Ars Goetia": He is listed in both the Liber Officiorum Spirituum and, of course, the Ars Goetia itself: In the Liber, he is named "Usagoo". Here, he appears as an angel who can make women fall in love with you and reveal hidden treasure. He commands only 20 legions in this version. In the Ars Goetia, meanwhile, he is the third spirit and the first of the seven Princes of Hell (Stolas is listed as the 5th btw) said to be of a good nature and the same nature as Agares, the second spirit who is depicted as an old man riding a crocodile. Vassago is said to rule 26 legions of demons and is able to find lost objects as well as tell wizards the past and future. He is said to be the opposing force to the angel Sitael.
I too came to that realization. Charlie is threatening the foundation of Heaven, and Blitz Hell's. The moment I saw that rubber ducky in Lucifer's seat it became all too clear. Lucifer himself will handle HH, while the rest of the sins deal with HB.
I really love how the adorable intern is called "adorable intern" in the credits! Cause it is true! Adorable! Also imagine Asmodeus reaction to Stolas being willing to give himself for Blitzø, because he very well knows he loves him! We don't really see it, apart from a glimpse from far away before the door closes in front of Blitzø, but he kind of looks like he is realizing it.
I was so scared when both Stolas and Blitz laid their heads down, but i was so glad they were spared even if he was stripped from his powers, and Loona calling Blitz dad was so heartwarming❤
One of my favorite details of the episode is Satan saying he was in charge before Lucifer, because Lucifer isn't there to contradict him, and Bee and Oz just having the expression of "lying ass Dragon "
I feel so bad for both fizz and Ozzie in that moment. Fizz IMMEDIATELY goes to grab his phone and text Ozzie to do something. Ozzie on the other hand, can’t do anything. Imagine how useless both of them must’ve felt. On one hand, Ozzie must’ve felt horrible for not being able to his boyfriend’s best friend. The other hand, fizz is stressing out about how he also can’t do anything but also that he’ll loose his best friend for a second time. ☹️☹️ Another thing, I feel so bad for loona and it’s so upsetting that it took blitz almost dying for her to be able to tell him she loves him. I hope to see more of their relationship in the future. Also imagine the absolute FEAR that Verosika and fizz felt. All though Verosika and blitz aren’t the best-est of friends, not even friends. Yet she is still scared/nervous about him possibly being executed. And with fizz, fizz just got his best friend back after 15 years of hating each other and now he’s about to loose him again. And it’s even worse knowing that he couldn’t do ANYTHING to help, all he could do was text Ozzie who also couldn’t do anything. If you couldn’t tell, I very much love blitz and fizz friendship..anyway!!! I do hope for a cute moment with blitz and fizz either in a short or the next episode or season 3.
Patrick Page played Satan in this. He is also famous for playing Hades in the Broadway musical Hadestown. He has such a powerful bass voice and he is perfect for this role
25:30 I recall hearing a while back that Viv wanted to retain full independent control of Helluva Boss in case licensing Hazbin Hotel turned out to be a fatal mistake.
yeah the two shows are in the same universe but can't interact due to legal issues, this results in weird in-universe rules like "Sinners can't leave the Pride Ring" and "Hellborn are exempt from the Exterminations", that way we keep the Sinners and Hazbin's focus near the Hotel, and the Helluva cast has no stake or risk in the Extermination plot. Remember that Hell's hierarchy goes, from strongest to weakest/top to bottom: Lucifer (King of all Hell and ruler of the Pride Ring), Lilith, Charlie, the Six Remaining Sins all ruling their own ring (Satan in Wrath, Beelzebub in GLuttony, Mammon in Greed, Asmodeus in Lust, Leviathan (2-headed purple chick) rules Envy, and Belphegor (the sleeping one with the long neck) rules Sloth (where the hospitals were)), the Ars Goetia like Stolas and other bird ones, Overlords (like Alastor or the Vees), Sinners (dead humans like Angel Dust. Overlords are just Sinners who gained lots of power via owning souls), regular Hellborn (like Verosika who is a succubus), then Imps and Hellhounds.
yeah, that's the shame about hazbin getting picked up, amazon controls the rights on some level and won't let the two interact much, beyond vague easter eggs like the bootleg charlie doll in operation weeabooboo and the empty pride chair in this episode.
Hellborn being exempt from Exterminations make sense. Unlike Sinners, they haven't inherently done anything immoral enough to warrant going to hell, so there's a much greater risk of killing someone less deserving. The other deadly sins would probably prefer their associated species be exempt too, since they need employees/servants if nothing else. Sinners being incapable of leaving the Pride Ring naturally makes it easier on the Exterminators to maximise extermination of Sinners and minimise Hellborn casualties, since they only need to search one ring and Hellborn can just leave to guarantee they aren't caught in the crossfire. It also works better as a punishment for Lucifer, with the Sinners that he hates all being in the ring of Hell that he rules.
@ the no leaving pride explanation is just fanon that was never confirmed in-universe and even then we have no idea how that rule is even enforced. I mainly thought Hellborn were exempt because A. When overpopulation was the reason it’s because so many people die per day AND Sinners are basically immortal means that population grows SUPER quick unlike the Hellborn, or B. With the Uprising reasoning, it’s the power hungry Sinners who got rolled up by Lilith to possibly uprise long ago, the Hellborn were just minding their own business so Heaven has no beef with them as they don’t threaten Heaven.
@@adamzielke3541 We see there are unguarded elevators between Pride and Wrath in Western Energy, so unless some Sinners have escaped, there's presumably a magical component to Sinners being stuck in Pride.
It was interesting hearing that line from Satan saying that he's "ruled the endless dark since long before the golden angel's fall". It implies that Satan ruled Hell even before Lucifer was cast down... and somehow Lucifer became its ruler afterwards. It's too bad having Hazbin Hotel characters in Helluva Boss is very difficult for Viv, what with A24 technically owning the Hazbin characters. It would have been interesting to see what the dynamic between Lucifer and Satan was like during the trial.
If he did rule then it must’ve been a really short rule because we know the second that Lucifer gave Eve the fruit of forbidden knowledge that caused evil to sweep to earth, giving birth to hell, and surely after that Lucifer was cast down
Except Vivzie confirmed that Satan was lying and just taking advantage of Lucifer's absence to say that he's the big boss in Hell. He even bullied/threatened the other Sins to go along with the lies, given how Ozzie and Bee rolled their eyes when Satan made that claim
I guess they would have a hard time selling Helluva to Amazon because of the fans. Helluva has been freely available on UA-cam for everyone and built a huge fan community around it. They can’t let Helluva vanish behind an Amazon paywall without alienating an important portion of their fans.
The character growth at the end of Blitz actually just taking care of Stolas without implying anything horny, or even bringing up what they went through in the past, because he knows Stolas needs some time to process what just happened, is gigantic. The Blitz from the end of the show wouldn't have reacted this way at all. I love the writing of this episode.
We can probably assume the season will be 14 eps, since the episode with Fizz quitting his job with Mammon and Ozzie publically supporting him and announcing he loves Fizz was titled as the midseason finale, and that was episode 7
season 2 is only having 12 episodes so next month is the season finally, but viz said there is going to be 4 seasons with a total of 50 episodes so we have another 30 episodes to look forward to after season 2.
This episode was tits coop and all the sins are back minus Lucifer.....Satan was a real cowboy and his voice Patrick Page was amazing! Bee is Kesha again and Leviathan and Belphegor looks cool!
yes, very slap on the wrist, to further show the injustice of the system. Hence why uhh...ice stolas, whose name i forget, was mad about it. That said, it might be the rest of blitz's life, I don't think imps live that much longer than humans. It's certianly significant in that way.
@@bryanmoberg8408 Their lives as long as any demon a solid number over lowkey references to it has been made. I know in Hazbin Hotel one of the imps mentions being around when Lucifer was learning the ropes of running Hell. Oh yeah, fuck that Ice Pigeon. lol
Obvious play is to have Stolas murdered while Hes a commoner now. But then in a year Octavia would probably gain the authority over her fathers position. Wonder how that will play out. I wonder if Ice guy is willing to kill his niece over power and if Stella is okay with that?
And so, after being name-dropped since the Pilot, Satan, sometimes called "The Satan", finally makes his on-screen debut. And it did not disappoint in the slightest. Now, there's obviously a LOT one can say about him but I wanna keep this relatively short so I'll focus on the important stuff as well as a few things people may not know about him: 1. Since he's the most common name for the devil, there are countless different depictions and descriptions of him. And while not all depictions are big and red, most I've seen do include claws and horns, like in this show. He is also described as a great red dragon in the Book of Revelation. So alongside Asmodeus, his design in the show is the closest to real life depictions out of all the Sins. 2. His name comes from the Hebrew language and literally means "accuser" or "adversary" (which makes his role as judge in this episode a nice reference). It is also often, though not always, used interchangeably with "Lucifer", "Beelzebub" and "Bael", among many other names. 3. In Judaism, he is originally a servant of god. Though I've heard that in modern times, his relationship to God can differ depending on who you ask. Only in Christianity and Islam, he is considered God's enemy. However, Muslims don't necessarily see him as the cause of all evil like the Christians do (of course, some do, but to my understanding, it's not the widely accepted version). Rather, he is seen as someone who uses what is already there. 4. His arabic name is "Shaitan". It means "devil" or "demon" and comes from the triliteral root š-ț-n which means "astray" or "distant". However, in the Quran, he is called "Iblis". Though I've been told the figure is more of a Satan/Lucifer mix. And finally: 5. In the Middle Ages, Satan was treated more as a joke, a minor nuisance who was constantly outsmarted by Saints and sometimes even just ordinary people. It wasn't until the early modern period where Satan became more powerful and thus more feared by people.
Here's a bit of background on the Sins with no lines: In demonology, Levi, aka Leviathan, is mostly described as a giant sea serpent or another sea monster such as a whale or a giant crocodile. He/She/It (I've literally seen all pronouns being used for Leviathan about the same amount) is sometimes paired up with Behemoth, a giant land monster, and Ziz, a giant air monster. In those depictions, like in this show, Leviathan is usually female (or at least she appears female; we'll have to wait and see for the exact pronouns). Originally considered the embodiment of chaos, she has been the go-to Sin of Envy since the 13th Century (at least for Christians). In the Dictionnaire Infernal, she is also a member of the Order of the Fly, a group of high ranking demons hand-picked by Beelzebub to help him run Hell. Here, she is a he and the Minister of the Office with the positions of Grand Admiral of Hell and Knight of the Fly. Lastly, she is often compared with giant serpents and monsters from other mythologies like Jörmungandr from Norse Mythology, Tiamat from Mesopotamien Mythology or Vrtra from Hinduism. Like with Bee-lzebub, Belphegor, the Sin sleeping next to Bee, is most often portrayed as a male. Belphegor is also known as "Baal-Peor" which comes from the Hebrew "Ba'al-Pe'gor" and means "Lord of the Gap" (which, as a side note, is quite the nice parallel to Beelzebub whose title is „Lord of [the] Fly“). He is usually portrayed as an old man with horns, a beard, long nails and a devil's tail. But honestly, I do like the show's design, too. Originally seducing people by helping them make discoveries and inventions that would make them rich, he is considered the Deadly Sin of Sloth nowadays due to the Binsfeld's Classification of Demons by real life witch hunter Peter Binsfeld (though it goes without saying that the "witches" he hunted weren't actually magical). Also, according to the Dictionnaire Infernal, he is a member of the Order of the Fly, a group of high ranking demons hand-picked by Beelzebub to help him run Hell, serving as the ambassador to France. Lastly, he has a book about him by Machiavelli (the guy who wrote the political satire "The Prince") which was adopted into an opera in 1923. Also, in-universe fun fact, as seen in S1E5 of Hazbin Hotel, Belphegor is listed in Charlie’s contact list. So despite the Sins seeming to not have a high opinion of their king (granted, he is an absent king, so it's not exactly a surprise), at least a few seem to be on speaking terms with his hellborn daughter.
keep in mind, lucifer created hell, so of course Satan was there first, lucifer was in heaven when satan was created. Hell, it's not out of the question that lucifer created satan too. (that or the corruption released by the apple created the sins, given the first episode of hazbin framed the apple incident as being similar to pandora's box.
Vivzie straightup confirmed that Satan was absolutely lying about ruling Hell before Lucifer came in, and that he bullied the other Sins into supporting him. Basically with Lucifer not caring about ruling Hell and being absent, Satan's just going around telling everyone that he's the big boss
Satan is as I imagined the Big Boss of Hell. He created the Imps, and I think we can assume the different factions of hell’s creatures were born of different sins who have all been around since the start of hell. And while Satan isn’t the most ancient creature of Hell, likely most ancient of those born IN Hell, he is the sin of Wrath. And he either has always been in power as the judge, jury, and executioner either from being the eldest, biggest, and strongest demon of them all, or dethroned the other 2 sin kings. (There are 9 circles of hell in Dante’s inferno, so Satan collapsing 2 rings of hell and everyone IMMEDIATELY falling in line makes sense as well.) He’s got a LOT more sway than the other sins by a WIDE margin. I still think the biggest sin antagonist is Mammon. I think the power of a sin does contribute to your ranking in hell even with all the sins aside wrath and pride being above the other 5. And Mammon being Greed and willing to blackmail or even turn on other sins makes him the larger threat at large. (And famously Pride, Wrath, and Greed are the 3 hardest sins to overcome even if they all vary for different people)
Vassago likes Stolas clearly, but he probably doesn't have much knowledge of Blitzø and Stolas' relationship. Ozzie is the one who actually knows about them but it's hard to tell if he can do something to help them without getting himself in trouble.
The looks Asmodeus and Beelzebub had when Lucifer was briefly mentioned makes my hopes of babysitter sins for baby Charlie shatter EDIT: ITS BACK! CONFIRMED THEY ROLLED THEIR EYES AT SATAN, NOT ABOUT LUCIFER.
People wanting andrealphus die, even tho he's the one who saved stolas in s2ep4, and he gave him the ok punishment. Living among lower demons, while taking his power. He's not joffrey, who only executes, because he can.
i mean...he didn't really save stolas so much as just remind stella that killing stolas would pass his power to octavia, so they needed a way to steal it instead.
This is my first time watching y'alls channel and every one of you gives green flag. Instantly subscribed. Your reactions were top tier and I would absolutely agree that this might be my fav episode so far!
Here's probably my one thing...why didn't Ozzie mention the fact that he was requested by Stolas himself to give a crystal so he could travel legally, instead of the whole "he must have had a good reason". Like...OZZIE of all people, knows Blitz is not that kind of asshole as he saved Fizz from a kidnapping. I get the point of the scene is that the classism in hell is so bullshit that the concept of trials is just a formality, but given they actually tried to speak up, Asmodeous is the one that comes off as not saying important shit, for no reason at all.
Yay for shorts to come!!! This episode had me screaming!!! I freaked out so much I was almost hyperventilating it was so good!!! I heard that Lucifer couldn't be in this episode.... BUT they are trying to get him in a future episode! So there is a high chance for a crossover one day. Just not in time for this episode. That works, cause Lucifer only just come out of voluntary solitude in Hazbin, he has to heal and grow in Hazbin first. Maybe his daughter will bring about the change to become the big guy again in time for Helluva Boss! Love you guys!!!
0:41 WAIT so we all know Stella knew the whole fucking time Blitzø had the Grimoire Book since it was shown in the pilot and in Season 2’s premiere flashback but are you telling me she didn’t blab or say shit to ANYONE till now?!
I don’t understand why stolas doesn’t say anything about his wife, they seemed like they’d listen to him and he knows she’s trying to kill him from when he attacked at that restraunt
This episode was AMAZING! Everything culminated in this episode, as it truly felt like a finale, and frankly, Im still really overwhelmed by it! I absolutely love all the Seven Deadly Sin designs as we finally get to see Satan, Leviathan (Envy), and Belthagor (Sloth) (it makes sense she was half asleep). I'm so glad to see Bee and Asmodeus again, too and Im just as glad that they tried to defend Blitz and the IMP gang It is tragic to see Stolas give up everything for Blitz, lose his power, his royal status, and his daughter, and now live with Blitz, but at least Blitz and Stolas's relationship seems better. This episode truly changed everything. Blitz and IMP are now praised by other Imps and seen as heroes for standing up against the system. However, Stella and Andrealphus won, as they have taken Stolas's position of power and own possession of Octavia, which makes me despise them so much! The only criticism I had for this episode was probably that it felt really fast-paced despite being 22 minutes long, as we just got introduced to so many new characters and lore that it all went by surprisingly quickly, or at least that's how I felt, but other than great episode! 9/10😁😈👍 I NEED A SEASON 3 SOON. Since the final episode of Season 2 is a Christmas episode, I doubt we'll get any resolution to this overarching story anytime soon, either.
The episode was great and seeing all the 7 deadly sins together interacting with each other Ozzie Queen bee and Mammon almost everyone Lucifer was missing maybe next time but hey good debut for 4 new characters Satan and Vassago and other two rulers envy and sloth we’re present
Before they can get lucifer in a room with the other deadly sins, a lot of legal jargon needs to be unpacked. I don't claim to understand it entirely, but for now no characters can crossover from one show to the other.
@@Ashurman666 Yeah, something like that. Though how the original author can have creative control but not copyright is beyond me, would need to read through their contract... which I don't think is public.
I love that they got Patrick Page to voice Satan - he's Hades from Hadestown and when you hear his voice in that one, it'll shake your bones. He has one of the bassiest bass voices to ever bass (he was also Green Goblin in the Spider-Man Musical. Fun fact!)
And then a hundred years pass, Stolas regains his powers and begins making his way down what will probably be a very long list.
@@Connor-ONeill I know I'd be taking names. I'm petty petty. lmaooo

@@WillieManga before turning them into the newest statue installations in his garden.
Well they already hated Stolas purely on the grounds that he is a Goetia noble, him “using” Blitzø isn’t anything new to them.
I was wondering if maybe they just weren't paying attention. Stolas just straight up sings about being the Mastermind behind a plot to blame his Imp for his crimes.
Yup, and that he gets away with it (not killed like an imp would’ve)
Stolas is still one of my favorite characters 😂😂
@@ChristinaMagma
Exactly!
What imps saw:
“A royal confesses to trying to turn Hell upside down.

Stella and Andrealphus have just earned the title of most hated Helluva boss characters. I’m so worried about Octavia as she may be manipulated by Stella.
The line she says in the trailer makes more sense now
The “You never loved mother and you don’t love me, you love him” line? Yeah that’s not her talking that’s probably the manipulation her mother has influenced on her. I just rewatched the trailer to see the scenes and lines we haven’t heard & seen yet.
There’s also a couple scenes where Blitz and Stolas are outside Stolas’ house who is guarded by Andrealphus. So the next episode’s plot is probably gonna be about saving Octavia.
I hope to God they can save Octavia, I don't want anything to happen to her! 😢
Me neither but seeing as Stolas has been De-powered and Dethroned it’s going to be a Helluva rescue mission.
@@enderethan144 I get it!
I think Lucifer simply doesn't care about these things, in Hazibin hotel we see that he hates hell and that he spends all the time thinking about his ducks

Same!
It wasnt just fizz. You could see that even Verosika, who has a deep hatred for blitz was concerned.
The fact the seat that said brb was for Lucifer from Hazbin hotel, insane connection
@@milkiassamuel780maybe who knows. I mean we know both shows are in the same universe. But we don’t know when this trial took place in that case
Vivienne confirmed this on x/twitter/whatever because she knew people would misunderstand

yea...Satan is badass in this show, but hes a bit of a narcissist lol
yeah he also said at 13:00 : "What in Lucifers hell"
Another detail that I haven't really seen pointed out is the design of the door to the courtroom. It has six slots for the other sins, and one larger slot at the top depicting Lucifer's six wings, the serpent, and the apple, showing he is still above all of them.

Belphegor makes sense given all the hospital scenes (which i believe are in sloth) feature similar goat/baphomet looking characters.
Satan being a gigantic fuck off dragon wasn’t what I expected, but FUCK does he look badass
If you're rich and famous, you're above the law. Or if you work for the law. Or if you're a politician. Because fuck the world and humanity.
Everything + his powers being taken away and being banished to an area that he could actually die in doesn't feel like much of a slap on the wrist.
Can't unhear Perrito from Puss In Boots. But I like his attitude.
@LuciusLucius Compared to execution though.
I agree, but in a messed up way it does make sense. Stolas is a powerfull demon with vast knowledge. They dont have that many goetic demons because they are all unique. Imps come in thousands.

@@sortastupidFinally, it is confirmed that of the seven deadly sins, only Lucifer is originally a fallen "golden" angel.
Lucifer (Fallen Angel of Pride), Satan (Devil of Wrath), Leviathan (Dragon of Envy), Asmodeus (Nephil of Lust), Mammon (Demon of Greed), Belphegor (Demon of Sloth), Beelzebub (Fallen Angel of Gluttony)
Satan concludes the song by stating he is the original mastermind, ruling Hell before the "golden angel"'s fall.
Satan is revealed as being the leader of the Sins that rule over the hellborn kind, having created imp-kind and also being the judge to those that break Hell's laws, making him second to Lucifer and his family in the hierarchy of Hell.
Satan claims in his part of the song that he reigned over Hell prior to Lucifer's exile from Heaven.
Though with Lucifer's actions being the event that spawned the creation of Hell, it's unclear just how accurate this claim is.
Due to Lucifer being an absent leader and acting more like a figurehead, Lilith being away from Hell for years, and Charlie being more focused in helping sinners make it to Heaven, Satan has taken over of all the affairs of Hell as a stand-in ruler.

Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Mammon were looking absolutely fabulous in this episode, even Striker was looking his absolute best.
i love that they bothered to get kesha back for beelzebub's lines.
it wasn't until this reaction that i noticed that after Stolas's powers are taken away, his pupils are constantly glowing, which wasn't the case before.
I see it as Stolas being so traumatized that his pupils are constantly visible, like he's drowning in emotion right now
Fun fact: The actor who voices Vasago is Guillermo from What We Do In The Shadows 🦇😍
I'm sorry, do you mean Gizmo?

If I remember correctly, his name is Harvey Guillén and isn't he also the voice of Perrito from Puss in Boots: The Last Wish too?
Correct
@@milkiassamuel780 You're correct on all of this.
It gives off a real vibe of "They won the battle, but they haven't won the war."
And knowing Stella and Andrealphus they're definitely still not done with Stolas and IMP yet.
I mean obviously he has changed his views. And when the time comes he’ll share it by the end of this series.
Pragmatically, they both did some illegal, and they’re not shitty enough people to get away with it, so of course they’ll be punished.
If you look at Lucifer's throne at 8:11 or 8:12 you see brb with a little rubber duck because it's the same universe as hazbin hotel

Next episode is titled "Sinsmas" and will release around Christmas. It's also the finale of Season 2

3:10 Missed opportunity to be a "Move, I'm gay!" moment XD
I'd like to add that Lucifer also hates himself. He's depressed, which quite literally is the opposite of Pride.
You guys are fast, also Lucifer's excuse for not being there is like: nah I'm in Hazbin hotel and it's kinda a copyright thing
basically, yeah.
Oh definitely, especially given that hell only came into existence after the fall of Eden. Meaning after Lucifer's fall for corrupting Eve.
Vesago definitely is one of the cool Goetia princes
I just got done watching Hades towns a few days ago I know that voice

6:17 Vasago is a W. I like him.
Before going into the lore behind the Vassago from demonological lore, a fun fact about his design:
His design first appeared way back in the Hazbin Hotel pilot among the Overlords when Vaggie was saying the line "Many have speculated what unimaginable forces enabled him to rival our world's most ancient and destructive evils".
Speaking of design: The most common depiction of him I've seen is a humanoid riding a crocodile. But since he isn't depicted in the Ars Goetia and the Goetia demons are mostly birds, I think his design in the show makes sense.
Speaking of "Ars Goetia": He is listed in both the Liber Officiorum Spirituum and, of course, the Ars Goetia itself:
In the Liber, he is named "Usagoo".
A unique/rare opportune moment for Blitz and Co to meet Satan himself, the second ruler of Hell next to Lucifer.
the....attorney general of hell?
I too came to that realization. Charlie is threatening the foundation of Heaven, and Blitz Hell's. The moment I saw that rubber ducky in Lucifer's seat it became all too clear. Lucifer himself will handle HH, while the rest of the sins deal with HB.
To Revolution!
I really love how the adorable intern is called "adorable intern" in the credits!

Also imagine Asmodeus reaction to Stolas being willing to give himself for Blitzø, because he very well knows he loves him!
We don't really see it, apart from a glimpse from far away before the door closes in front of Blitzø, but he kind of looks like he is realizing it.
I can’t believe this is how we see Leviathan and Belphagore. I wasn’t expecting Leviathan to… look anything lol that.
Another thing, I feel so bad for loona and it’s so upsetting that it took blitz almost dying for her to be able to tell him she loves him.
If he did rule then it must’ve been a really short rule because we know the second that Lucifer gave Eve the fruit of forbidden knowledge that caused evil to sweep to earth, giving birth to hell, and surely after that Lucifer was cast down
*iirc hazbin stated lucifer created hell. So satan was probably it's ruler until lucifer fell.
@ Viv said in tweet when Satan said that he was just exaggerating and that he has a tendency to do that
Except Vivzie confirmed that Satan was lying and just taking advantage of Lucifer's absence to say that he's the big boss in Hell. He even bullied/threatened the other Sins to go along with the lies, given how Ozzie and Bee rolled their eyes when Satan made that claim
@@PridamWhere did a a vivzie say this, I’ve been trying to find her source of these kinds of statements.
4:29 To be fair a hellhound’s maw is probably the most dangerous part of their body.
We can probably assume the season will be 14 eps, since the episode with Fizz quitting his job with Mammon and Ozzie publically supporting him and announcing he loves Fizz was titled as the midseason finale, and that was episode 7
I missed the episode, just watched it now, what a fucking rollercoaster! I haven't watched cartoon reactions in forever but I GOTTA for this!
season 2 is only having 12 episodes so next month is the season finally, but viz said there is going to be 4 seasons with a total of 50 episodes so we have another 30 episodes to look forward to after season 2.
This episode was tits coop and all the sins are back minus Lucifer.....Satan was a real cowboy and his voice Patrick Page was amazing! Bee is Kesha again and Leviathan and Belphegor looks cool!
I mean, its only 100 years, for a demon that 's nothing.
yes, very slap on the wrist, to further show the injustice of the system.
The fact that Satan has a fucking Emotional Support Coach is just the icing on the cake.
That episode might now very well be my favourite episode.
And so, after being name-dropped since the Pilot, Satan, sometimes called "The Satan", finally makes his on-screen debut. And it did not disappoint in the slightest.
Now, there's obviously a LOT one can say about him but I wanna keep this relatively short so I'll focus on the important stuff as well as a few things people may not know about him:
And finally:
5. In the Middle Ages, Satan was treated more as a joke, a minor nuisance who was constantly outsmarted by Saints and sometimes even just ordinary people. It wasn't until the early modern period where Satan became more powerful and thus more feared by people.
One note, Shaitan/Iblis is more of a mix of Satan and Lucifer

thx for the info
"You're my heart.:
My brain: "-there is a stark contrast to everything I know this place should be."
Here's a bit of background on the Sins with no lines:
In demonology, Levi, aka Leviathan, is mostly described as a giant sea serpent or another sea monster such as a whale or a giant crocodile.
Satan being in Hell before even Lucifer is an interesting lore detail.
keep in mind, lucifer created hell, so of course Satan was there first, lucifer was in heaven when satan was created.
We got Stolitz redemption before GTA VI?!!
Mammon and Striker in one episode😮, i'm totally in❤. Satan looks awesome too😚
What timing, i have just watched the video and now i get to see your reaction!
2:42 Such nice animation of Loona and happy to see her actually care, as much as she pretends not to
Satan has an amazing voice
SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU GUYS REACT TO MORE HELLUVA BOSS, I LOVE YOUR GUYS’S CHANNEL SO MUCH ❤️
Satan is as I imagined the Big Boss of Hell.
(And famously Pride, Wrath, and Greed are the 3 hardest sins to overcome even if they all vary for different people)
5:46 Man, Stolas looks almost like a bishonen character here. And that little kiss on the cheek...it just melts the heart.❤
This is the biggest victory Blitz has ever had.
Also, I'm curious about Belph and Levi. Neither has had any speaking lines (yet).
my boy Vasago finally on the stage ❤️🔥
I love we got to see all of the 7 sins now and loved seeing more Bee
This is my FAVORITE SONG FROM THIS SHOW
You f*** kidding me. Stolas, why him. What will be now for I.M.P, for the friends, they have? And who is this cool guy looks like a phoenix?
that fire figure is Lucifer, you can find him in the main show, Hazbin Hotel
@Epicityness No not Satan, the other guy who flys with a Star. That I mean. Who is this?
The fact Vassago was voiced by the same person who voiced Perrito makes him even better
just found out andrealphus is canonically gay so the reason hes always calling stella hot is bc he sees that as her only redeeming quality😭😭
I hope vassago ozzie andbee knew stolas was bullshitting when he said he was the mastermind
Vassago likes Stolas clearly, but he probably doesn't have much knowledge of Blitzø and Stolas' relationship. Ozzie is the one who actually knows about them but it's hard to tell if he can do something to help them without getting himself in trouble.
@mysterysunfurled sure but he probably knows that stolas isn't the type to do that
The looks Asmodeus and Beelzebub had when Lucifer was briefly mentioned makes my hopes of babysitter sins for baby Charlie shatter
EDIT: ITS BACK! CONFIRMED THEY ROLLED THEIR EYES AT SATAN, NOT ABOUT LUCIFER.
What a crazy episode, Stolas lost it all for Blitz.
@bryanmoberg8408 stolas would die anyway, if andrealphus didn't ask stella to stop. M&M would be late.
cmon dont think they missed it the o is .... totaly there VS blitz: "atualy the o is..... satan: SILENCE"
This is my first time watching y'alls channel and every one of you gives green flag. Instantly subscribed. Your reactions were top tier and I would absolutely agree that this might be my fav episode so far!
12:45 Ahh, I love being right. 100% confirmed now without a doubt Verosika has feelings for Blitz, like I've been saying since I first noticed it
Here's probably my one thing...why didn't Ozzie mention the fact that he was requested by Stolas himself to give a crystal so he could travel legally, instead of the whole "he must have had a good reason".
Wow didnt expect u guys have a comic! So proud of y’all 🖤
9:42 is Verosica actually going out with Wally?
Not the bad choice I say I say
If that's true I'll laugh so hard but also love it, I've been shipping them as a joke for years XD
"Making The FRickin OWLS GAyyY!! UGH! UGH UGH! UGHHN!!!" - Alex Jones
I'm so glad to see Bee and Asmodeus again, too and Im just as glad that they tried to defend Blitz and the IMP gang
It is tragic to see Stolas give up everything for Blitz, lose his power, his royal status, and his daughter, and now live with Blitz, but at least Blitz and Stolas's relationship seems better.
9/10😁😈👍
I NEED A SEASON 3 SOON. Since the final episode of Season 2 is a Christmas episode, I doubt we'll get any resolution to this overarching story anytime soon, either.
20:35 so stolas has basically the Doflamingo Treatment from One piece coming. Got it.
The episode was great and seeing all the 7 deadly sins together interacting with each other Ozzie Queen bee and Mammon almost everyone Lucifer was missing maybe next time but hey good debut for 4 new characters Satan and Vassago and other two rulers envy and sloth we’re present
Lucifer will never be in HB because Amazon won't let him
Before they can get lucifer in a room with the other deadly sins, a lot of legal jargon needs to be unpacked. I don't claim to understand it entirely, but for now no characters can crossover from one show to the other.
@@PizzaMineKing Because Amazon pretty much owns Hazbin Hotel and all of it's contents.
@@Ashurman666 Yeah, something like that. Though how the original author can have creative control but not copyright is beyond me, would need to read through their contract... which I don't think is public.
@@PizzaMineKing It's Amazon we're talking about, probably some legal loophole they can abuse
20:42 the anime vibes in this shot
Blitz is benefiting of the prince’s downfall I’m so scared it’s going to get even more messy
I love that they got Patrick Page to voice Satan - he's Hades from Hadestown and when you hear his voice in that one, it'll shake your bones. He has one of the bassiest bass voices to ever bass
(he was also Green Goblin in the Spider-Man Musical. Fun fact!)
This show has come so far and i’m HERE for it. My favorite episode by far too
bro this episode made bro scream bro i was hollerin
