    In this street photography (Monochrome Black & White) video I find myself in central London. We are looking for the contrast between light and dark and capturing subjects as they interact with the light and shadow. We take inspiration from Alan Schaller, Fan Ho, and other photographers in this style.
    I share my photography tips, what I am looking out for and my camera settings.
    I love this style of photography, Alan Schaller has taken some wonderful pictures strolling around the streets of London.
    I used RS MONO Lightroom presets for this set of images - www.etsy.com/s....

    I love street photography. As an armature black female street photographer I learn as much as I can. Black and white is the best street photography in my eyes.

    Very good. Reminded me of some 1940s, to 60s style photography

    I really enjoyed this video very much, as a new photographer I would have found it very helpful if you had had the settings shown next to each photo. Looking forward to the next video.

    That strap waiving around would drive me mad! Get a Peak Design strap so you can change from neck to wrist. :) Love your work.

      @@roni_sidhu I find that being able to use the anchor points to change from a neck carry to a wrist strap for street security in a second or two, makes less to worry about. It is a very strong system and having used it for a while, I recommend it. Dangling straps on a windy day drive me mad! :). But it is not cheap!

    Thank you for your video. I try to avoid taking pictures of people’s rear. Just personal preference.
    Hanging around and waiting for the picture. Finding the right background and waiting for the right subject to walk into my frame.. Fishing. I do that occasionally. I wait 10-15” and then get bored. I’ve seen several street photographers use this technique. I’m a hunter.

    Like the new video style, more please. It would be great to have the shot details alongside each image as a reference point. Also notice you have colour in your live view but you are 'shooting' B&W or am I seeing things? If so is there a reason for this. Cheers and thanks for your videos always an enjoyable watch.

      Thanks for your comment I will try and do some more in this style. I have put some of the shit details in the top right of the screen. In this video my live view is in b&w, in other videos it is not. Come and join the Facebook group and post your images there facebook.com/groups/689393766041165/?ref=share

    Love the shots but comm b from someone who occasionally gets migraines I couldn’t look into the sun for long and you had a lot of backlighting … I struggled to watch it all … but London is just fantastic for street photography! Thanks for sharing

    I like the idea of ‘warming up’ when doing this kind photography. Does taking photos into the sun damage the sensor .?

    • @roni_sidhu
      @roni_sidhu  2 місяці тому

      Warming up and getting a feeling for your environment is something that we should always practice no matter what type of photography we are doing. Shooting directly into the sun will not harm your sensory but it may be uncomfortable for your eyes.
