    Thank you for making golf much easier for me...since watching and practice your way, I have shaved 8-10 strokes per round in the last month alone. Today I shot a 3 under 33 in league play, my best round ever.

    This looks to be a game changer. I’ve struggled with flipping and have been plagued with over thinking the swing since I started golf a year ago.
    Watched this and your other vid ‘heave it back, heave it forwards’ went to range , la di fricken da, pure contact and 10-15 yards extra distance per club!! Thank you so much. Hope it translates to on course!

    Your methods like this have helped me make good contact instead of topping or hitting fat, but I can not get my clubface to close. It always comes in open and I hit a big push.

    Shawn, your tips have changed my golf life. I started warming up by throwing a small ball against a wall, on the course I'm thinking about throwing to targets and 'outta the way- outta the way' and my score is plummeting. My putting is atrocious though. Do you have any putting tips on your premium site that I'm just not seeing?
    Edit: Turns out I am blind. Found it

    Sean: when you demonstrate the secondary pendulum the clubface is rotating about 180* at the bottom of your swing. This seems to be an extreme amount of rotation. Also your arms "fly" by your torso along with this pendulum motion. My instructor is trying to get me to use my body pivot to close the club and never let the "toe" pass the heel thru-out the entire swing. I guess it's kind of a "throwing" release but it seems difficult to do ......I realize there are different ways to do things, but, should we be striving for more hand/arm rotation and forget trying to be so body oriented? Thanks for all you do for us! Gary

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons 5 років тому +1

      Hey Gary! What about a tennis serve and that wonderful pronation (inward rotation) of the arm after the strike? See “Pete Sampras pronation serve” and when you throw a football? Ping pong racket?
      First, see how the human body is made; then study all sports and disciplines, apply external focus or give simple tasks and see how the human adapts. The brain is a supreme problem solver and always seeks the path of least resistance. See my “fencing for power shawn clement” video and perform that sword slash drill and see how it holds up to your teacher’s theory...

    Great vid, irony is so ironic :) I went on vacation from the southern US to just below Michigan and played several times. Enjoyed not sweating to death. Anyway I had a family friend video my swing while I was up there and found I have a very very bad flip of the hands going on. Im going to hit your archives and see what youve stated in the past concerning this. Bad thing is I cant find the ground again on my down swing doctor, says Im developing Neuropathy in my feet. So Im trying to focus on rotating the left hip pocket and hoping to overcome this inability to feel the ground like I used to. Feels like Im standing on pencils all the time. I think Im trying to compensate for the loss of feel and timing now by using the hands to find bottom. I was taught back in the 1970's that golf is an ankle and foot sport, without using them correctly its going to be difficult to strike consistently. Thanks again for posting these vids
