I got my kakadu bogged in the beach sand this arvo, i thought my traction was turned off until now I watched your video and realise you have to hold the button in. I was wondering why my prado felt like 2 wheel drive not 4x4. Got the secret now back on the sand again next week. Thanks for sharing this information.
Hi Mike, you mentioned in one of your other videos (Bribie boggy sand) that you use L4 through the beach access but once on the beach drive along the in H4 most of the time. Is your centre diff locked when in H4?
Sometimes it doesn't go into or out of 4WD Low and the light flashes . You then have to rock the car forward and back a little bit using Drive and Rev until the light stops blinking .
Hi I Made a stupid mistake an I blew out my gearbox driving in low range on the beach without traction control and diff lock in I was driving locked in 4 gear driving at 40 kms but my gear box failed I had to rebuilt. so before I am going back to the sand. if the sand is not that soft 4H traction control off and front and rear diff locked in. but if the sand is too soft traction control off, front and rear diff locked in and 4L in D not exceeding 40 kms is that right?
Yeah I probably wouldn't be doing more then 40km/h in low range. Not sure why your gear box would have done that maybe it had other issues. But yeah, I mainly use high range, traction control OFF and the transfer case locked in, and of course tyre pressures lowered to at least down to 20psi. 👍
Sorry just one more question sport mode or S just limit the car to drive up to the select gear ? in my case I had the car in low range 4 gear and speed under 40km/h ? Or sport mode S is for semi automatic I don’t thinks that is the case ? Please advise
I call it manual mode. I always use the manual mode when I'm beach or even 4wdriving. Yes you want to control the gears. For example if you had it at 3, then it won't go past 3. It is like semi automatic. I personally think that 40km/h is too fast in low range, I'd be holding the gear in 2nd and in high range. Only my personal opinion. 👍

No worries mate. Glad I could help. Yes it makes a huge difference! 👍👍
i have shared this on a few forums, such good advice
Thanks mate, awesome! 👍
Thanks for this, I have just upgraded from a 120 to a 150.
Awesome mate 👍👍
@@prado150outahere My 120 has been across Australia (Brisbane, Alice Springs, Marble Bar) Cape York, Simpson (3 times). Great cars.
They are mate. I'm really happy with mine
@@davidsea1482I myself upgraded from 120 to 150 recently. I loved the 120 though. The 150 is a bit too big imo.
😊👍👍
Shall I keep my prado on H4 or L4 while driving in city or normally around the roads?
Hi there. Yes you should have it in H4 while driving in the city or on bitumen or easy roads
Thanks for you video.very helpful indeed.
Thank you. Glad I could help..👍👍

Yes I leave it locked. Personal opinion. Some would say you don't need to. I always do. 👍
Hi does it need to be in neutral and foot on brake when turning TRC....off ??
No, you can do it in drive👍
와 우 ~~ 쉽고 간단한 설명에 감사~
No worries glad I could help 👍

I haven't had that happen yet. What model Prado do you have?
Hi,if your on a dirt track can you leave it in H4 with track OFF and front locker engaged.
Yes you can leave in H4, you can turn off track control. If you mean the transfer case lock off, yes you can.
That small yellow car sign means ESP is off...esp and tcs are 2 different systems.✌
No worries
Pliz we need to hear what you are talking about minimise the instrumentals on your video
👍yep. Thanks for the feedback.
that button you pushed is only center diff lock, not rear diff lock
👍 yep, I think I said transfer case... got my words a bit muddled. Hoping the video helped out with the traction control
Thanks for the information. Hated the unnecessary unnecessarily loud soundtrack.
Yep no worries mate. Earlier days of creating content

Can you use center Diff lock on 4H?
Yep sure can 👍
PUT IN NEUTRAL FIRST, AFTER ENGAGE CENTER DIFF LOCK
👍👍
How do you drive 4h on sand?
How do you mean mate? Most of the time I drive 4H on the sand
its confusing/silly really that esp off on dash picture being same just about as traction control button
Can be yes
Next time put louder music
Yes mate. This was one of my earlier videos, hopefully over 2 years on I've improved on my content creation.
Thanks for sharing. Very useful
👍 cheers mate
