The Black Dahlia Murder's title track for "Nightbringers." Directed, shot, and edited by Vince Edwards with additional footage by Taso Z, and James Pesature for Magnetar Studio.
Any band that has earned an army of devout followers through dropping seven killer full-lengths - and touring their collective ass off for sixteen years - could perhaps be forgiven for thinking they could take it easy as they wade into their eighth release. But that's just not The Black Dahlia Murder's style, and Nightbringers is testament to that. Having released their most accomplished, aggressive, and emotionally diverse music to date in the form of 2015's Abysmal, the Michigan quintet have once more pushed themselves to new heights, and the 34 minutes of searing melodic death metal that comprises Nightbringers is riveting listening. "I always feel a responsibility to the people who support this band when we start making a new record," asserts vocalist Trevor Strnad. "The pressure that comes from people being excited to hear what you come up with next can be intimidating, but it's so exciting that those people love you so much for just doing what you do. It makes you want to honor what you've done in the past, but also excite them with where you go next, and that definitely drove us on 'Nightbringers'. When we started writing I honestly didn't know we had this album in us, and I feel really proud of it. It's a great moment for us."

This band got me into metal 18 years ago, they’ve grown up with me, I’ve used them to help in darker times, hell I’ve tried relentlessly to play like Shannon Lucas to no luck. Trevor was, fuck that IS one of the best vocalists of all time. I woke up shocked to read this. I’m almost speechless but you guys will forever be in my life and in my heart. Every two years the Dahlia is like clockwork. Great albums time after time. They've built like a brand you can trust. Real working man's death metal band. They never stop touring either. They're one of the tightest live bands in the world. They crush every night.

Well like carnifex, every album they come out with is awesome and high quality metal. Unlike carnifex, not every album beats the previous(every carnifex album is better than the last-so far). But nonetheless, they are still doing epic.

I was never the biggest fan of this band, I listened to some of their stuff here and there but the news of Trevor's death is heartbreaking. Whenever I did put on The Balck Dahlia Murder it was always a good time and it's a shame that such talent has passed away. Rest in piece 🤘

This often gets over shadowed by the speed, technical skill, and sheer heaviness, but GOD DAMN do they know how to write an abso fucking lutely VIRAL chorus. Throughout their discography, they have consistently had the most catchy and heart racing hooks in metal. Seriously second to none

this is maybe one of the best written Melodeath songs ever, and that is saying alot. The chorus is a banger, the solo is ungoldly. The lyrics/ message are everything you could ask for out of a Melodeath band. and American? wow.

In the ever-increasing ocean of solos the genre generates since its creation, I can only hope Brandon Ellis' solos will be regarded as those of Marty Friedman or Dimebag Darrell.
Nightbringers' solo has nothing to be ashamed of when put to the comparison with Tornado Of Souls.
This is for me the greatest solo in modern metal history for which it brings the same emotion and awe everytime it is listened.

Last time I saw these guy's live I went to eat before the show (at a taco restaurant of course) and when we got sat down I looked behind me and the entire band was eating at the next table...Trevor did a double take at my Death Scream Bloody Gore shirt, I wanted to say something but I didn't want to bother them during their time off. Went to the show later on and I was directly in front of Brandon...that dude can PLAY. He made everything he was playing look SO damn easy. This kid is an underrated guitar player and he fits right in to the Dahlia sound. I love everything that he contributed to this album.

I went to 3 of their concerts from 2017 to 2019 and I'm really missing those good memories 😔 My favorite memory (although sort of distorted from alcohol lol) was when he said on the count of three...everyone make the biggest fat noise with their lips 🤣 the majority of the crowd was confused but I was digging it lol
