Played my Maus yesterday. Hull down, turret angled. Penned 9 times in a tow by t9s shooting gold. Fun
either overangled or they could still see ur front, theres no way
@@user-hi5vm4vh8t Its possible.. should have saved the replay but I was so pissed i just logged. I know how to play it, have a 65% wr in it. But perhaps i was more exposed than I thought. But still... 9 shots in a row penned so cant all be over angled for ever single shot
@@kingjames1308 happens man, imo its really hard to overangle against 9's as they generally have bad penetration against you, it might be down to the fact that they could still see a few pixels of your front while you were sidescraping and shot there. also depends which tier 9s shot at you, if its an e75 that thing has more penetration than even some tier 10

@@kingjames1308 i just look the maus model on tank gg , when angled correctly the t95 using gold can only pen your lower plate your turret cheeck become 340 of effective armor and your upper plate 360 . the gold on the t95 have only 320 mm so is mostly on your fault ;)

Skill, on each tank on your site you can make a snapshot of best spots for each individual tank on each map
The Maus really needs a turret armor buff so that it cannot be penned by standard ammo shot by same tier heavies. I was looking at the Maus in Armor Inspector and was surprised to see that it’s turret cheeks are easily penned by standard ammo shot by tier X heavies and TD’s. A beast like the Maus should have better armor.
They should add 20-30 mm track armour to Maus’ cheeks which would prevent heat spam from penning when angled.

The most satisfaction I have in the game is blocking shells from gold spammers while penetrating their cupolas or weakspot when they mess up and make a bad trade. That is the bread and butter of playing without skill rounds.
We are getting introduced to the battle sooner and sooner, we should be introduced in a beautiful ammorack at least for once :D
I do love my Maus but your first game. Is my average game here in NA server. My teams melt so fast before I can get into any position to do anything 3 out of 5 battles.
I've done Turbo/Rotation/vents, but I don't have all of the field mods/bond turbo ect, so maybe it is just a bad build *shrug* my logic was that the turbo is mandatory. That leaves two slots, ideally I would like to make use of my survivability slot's bonus, my idea was to cover some of the gun handling with vents, get a slight dpm increase and leave the verts on the bench to take rotation mech for the increased traverse and gun handling, which I would not really be able to do using other equipment.
I use hardening, Turbo, Improved configuration + food. Nothing breaks, tracks repair in 4 seconds, I like it.
Except for the Turbo i use this same configuration, i use on the T95 too, it's hilarious when people track you and you just kinda keep moving slowly towards them, they don't realize that you can repair your tracks faster than they can reload.
Weird that it matters, I really cant see any point in tracking maus, you cant track and do damage and its so slow, its pointless to keep it tracked. I dont own a maus, but playing versus it I have never tried to track it
@@durachoks People try to track me often because I rush them and ram them for fairly good damage values. I think its due to my playstyle being extremely aggressive with it.
I have 60% solo win rate with it (otherwise I am a 55% win rate plr) and 2 marks without even trying at all. I will try to 3 mark it but I dont like using prem ammo :P

Yesterday I played with the Maus and I did not go below 4k dmg per battle and 1k assisted, I really think that the Maus is a very good tank for the current game, if it is true that it depends absolutely on the team.
I love the maus. It was the first tier X I three marked and honestly, I have to say it was the easiest tank I've ever played (then again I don't have chief and 279e so that'll probably change after this campaign), but had a really enjoyable experience in it
depends a lot on taste, I really hate super heavies but love mediums or hull down tanks
@@raulansbach5238 same. I main preference are meds like the leo 1. I actually used to hate the maus. Could never make it work, and then one day I came back to it and just three marked it. I found it incredibly ez to play
I dont get the hate for Maus, when a tank is OP people complain and when it is decent they complain anyway. 🤷♂️
@@tarek7866 People complain about the Maus because it's too weak. The thing the tank is supposed to be strong is countered by dabbing the 2 key

I'm with Tarek El Kurdi, people ALWAYS complain, "it's weak, still weak, bit more buff needed" when in reality it's already decent and next time you'll hear "it's op, it's broken, FU WG" and the tank becomes an uncounterable mess
It would be nice if you could play with the 121B! It got through some buffs and is really strong now, an extremley accurate gun with like ~3800 DPM

I like mine but I don’t play it too often. Great great gun. Usual t10 medium shell velocity. Maybe not as accurate as The Leo. But it can bounce shots, so it’s a great all rounder.
@@bryans6539 Sadly don't have the Bond to buy 121B or M60. I have leo, but 0,24 Dispersion is without some hidden Stats, cause i miss a lot of Shells which should've hit, same with Grille 15, has good Stats but often Trolls. Having no armor like the Leo is also pretty annoying

You know how slow the maus is when skills intro in this video is already half way to the location and not even in the garage or countdown
I really like this tank, by far my favorite tier X. I run turbo/hardening/vents (potentially replacing the vents with rammer) and it always seems to get the job done. And yeah, when your team is losing 1-15, you have a few unlucky shots, and you find yourself in a crossfire from 3 directions, no tank would achieve much; but I'd argue that you could take any tank, put it in the same situation, and it will do worse than the Maus did in the first battle; after all, not that many vehicles that can bounce a Grille with the side of their turret flush on.
But, end of the day, if the tank is considered an underperformer - by all means, buff it more :)

The tier 10 tank I have the most battles in. Turbo, hardening and optics made my best games in kind of open maps. Having well over 500 meters viewrange and the ability to go in front might give you alot of assistance

Maus and Mauschen, both very frustrating to play! The tier 8 in the line more enjoyable even if you have big weak spots. I sold mine after around 40-50 battles. E100 is more fun and can bounce a lot.
I am not a heavy tank player and don't have the Maus, only the E100 (with small pipi...the big pipi is mehh).
But I think E100 is much better nowadays. At least when I face one of them in the enemy team, I am more afraid of properly angled E100 than Maus.

the first battle of this video is typical play we can have with the Maus saddly , but when you have a good team you can have very good play with Maus, but yes it's a magnetic tank for gold ^^ , today a player complain that i used gold with my Maus during a great battle, but many of my shoot not pen with gold so i must admit that i used full gold for have not too bad result. ^^

Current WOT game at higher levels, unless you have super penetration tank, you shall use GOLD ammo = need premium account mostly.

The only reason I got the Maus was for missions that call for blocked damage. Even after two years I'm still a noob in upper tier tanks and I feel like I did good if I got 1,000 damage and didn't die. But, that's not usually what happens.
Tbh you can easily get those missions in E100 except you have a fun line to grind
@@abhaybhatt4286 After watching tons of videos, most unicum contributors recommended the VK100.01 P for blocking missions. So, I got one. So far I've gotten close by either getting enough blocking, but losing the battle or not causing 1,000 damage. When I get a good score and we win it usually means I didn't have to block many shots. It's just frustrating as hell!

I used to love Maus, but now, it is just a paper and slow tank. Even side scraping, you can get penetrated via side of gun mantelete.
Well Skill, i challenge you to find a tank that does more than the 2.5k combined you did with a team who lost 1 vs 15 in 4 min. IMO that was the proof Maus is a decent tank.

I prefer the rotation mechanism to the rammer. Need to make that turret more nimble.
@@Jules-kp7rw rammer kind of useless on a HT like this. You spend a lot of time angled waiting to shoot. So you need to whip your turret at them and snap a shot between their shots. You have plenty of time to reload. Vents, turbo, irm.
@@Jules-kp7rw those would be players with content creator RNG who say that, not folks who play. All a rammer does is let you miss faster. After 10 years I find accuracy, specifically fast aim time accuracy, to be far more useful. Followed by mobility, pen/alpha, Then rate of fire, lastly would be armor. DPM is something to advantage when it's your primary strength (looking at you Badger).
@Proud To Be White I find anything to turn and rotate my turret to bounce shots faster to be best on the Maus. So vents, irm, and turbo. Otherwise, bang right in the lower plate or in thru the front next to the mantlet. Really the Maus' job is to exhaust the enemy. Waste time shooting at you, exposing themselves trying to flank, spending ammo reserves. Mostly though just wasting time as 3 or more enemies try to deal with you. 10k damage doesn't really happen, 10k blocked does. That's a third of your teams HP that didn't take the hit.
@@Jules-kp7rw I have eyes and 10 years of in game experience. Any court would accept me as a subject matter expert on a topic with that background. So in my "expert" opinion -it exists.
@@Jules-kp7rw the problem is it would have to be in game. The training grounds seem to have all adjustments stripped away and tanks are closer to their published stats. But you have seen the Honeymoon rng for new premiums with your own eyes no doubt. It just makes good marketing sense to adjust CCs rng ever so slightly. Not enough for any but the most experienced to call out. But enough to make the game look good but still be ascribed to the CC being a "pro".

With the Maus you must assume the enemy is loading gold and shooting are your cheeks, and honestly the Mauschen teaches you this.

I'd probably argue that E100 is a little worse because the turret face and lower plate are so much bigger and it's not as easy to angle it well

I seen video from klaus kellerman where he was talking about rigged games (those 15-1) and time to time i check it myself and its says a lot. When you look at post game result take a look at shots : hits : pen ratios. Winning Team Has like 5 shots 4 hits 4 pens, loosing Team like 7 shots 4 hits 2 pens and this is happening to the good players also so there is possibility that games are won/lost before they start...
@@Roeper437 i just caught a toon last night that I got on my team in back to back battles feeding two players playing a Leo and e5 on the enemy team. I report and send in tickets when I see that bs. You can't really say it's rigged because of the things you mentioned. Sometimes even the best of us gets lags or aren't focused and perform with those types of numbers. I was a subscriber of claus for years and watched him daily like I do skill but I find him a little too whiny as of late and got a little too annoying.

In my experience, all this line was horrible, except probably the vk in tier 8 games (i dont even want to remember the Tiger P, ive erased all those memories from my brain). Probably the worst tank in my garage by far. Friendly tip, do not bring this thing out of the garage during marathons, dreadful experience, you are just 3k hp rolling for someone else to farm. I do not agree on mounting the rammer, probably rotation mechanism is better, to improve the turret and hull rotation in order to make the armor work. And also, i think you are forgetting one kind of battle, the one in which you are on the winning 15 to 0 team, and you are not even fast enough to fire a shot due to the speed of the battle.

Stabilizer is a must have for the Maus, so that leaves only 2 more pieces of equipment. I know many players think it’s sacrilege to not equip a tank with rammer, but it’s definitely a good alternative to run stabilizer, turbo, and improved hardening on the Maus. Your reload time is only 0.5 second longer than it is when playing with rammer, but I would argue that the turbo, improved hardening, and stabilizer will allow you to live longer, get into position to attempt more shots, and score more damage than you would with rammer in place of any of these 3 pieces of equipment.
Ask any good player and they will disagree

Naaaah idk. It was too strong prenerf. You can angle against heat but it's like tolerance 0 degree till you will overangle. I have mixed opinion about this tank. But what needs buff is Jgpz E100... The only reason i play it cuz i need to deal 8k dmg... It's such a frustrating experience its depressing.
@@Roeper437 IS-4 has even stronger sides, can play hull down to a degree and has much better pen and mobility. Old Maus wasn't as strong as the current IS-4, the IS-4 is balanced now so Maus wasn't OP at all. At the time maybe it was strong. But in the current meta it's only good if the Maus has with it's pre nerf stats.
@@ihaveadream7858 i dont know what game u play but i am literally in comparison tab and maus has stronger sides 185 to 160 of is4 even slightly better turret armor. Looking at hitpoints 3000 to 2500. Average pen of maus is 246 to 217 of is4. Dpm 2306 to 2219 of is4. The only thing better is that is4 Has twice the mobility and huge advantage in concealment.
@@Roeper437 I just checked again on tanks gg, IS-4 has 258 standard pen and 340 gold pen, while Maus has 246 standard pen and 311 gold pen. Clearly IS-4 has better penetraton. We are DEFINITELY playing different games and you definitely are not playing wot pc, because in this game there is no IS-4 that has 217 penentration with any shell type.
The turret frontal armor of IS-4 is 250mm thick, 10mm thinner than the Maus but the angle of the armor makes it's effective armor much, much higher than the Maus. Check both tanks 3d armor models on tanks gg if you know that website, to see whether IS-4 or Maus has better turret armor. I was mistaken on the side armor part though.

I wonder what superplayers would do when they will get 60-70% teams and games like that one on cliff. And i wonder how they will mark anything when u get just tier 10 MM and ur team personal score is under 60k in 15 players and enemies team 120 or 130k personal score in 15 players. And why? Because wg and MM put 3 super players in one team and in the other team put 2 or 3 greens and in rest all tomatoes. This is the reality in this game. A shit show where u have to pay
That's actually true. Most of the time when i look up the players in both team, in my team i am the best player with my 53% winrate (and if i am the best player on the team oh boy i can tell you it is a really bad sign) and we have ten players around 46% winrate. Some even have 42% winrate from like 50-60-70-80k games. 42%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even know how this winrate is even achievable, when simply by afking you gonna win more. Meanwhile the enemy team have 5-6 60% warlords sometimes even 60%+ and their weakest player have 49% winrate and i am not even kidding or exaggerate. I not trying to shit on players with bad winrate or stats because everyone plays for their own enjoyment and im completly fine to play with anyone who is normal and don't play like a dick but damn... I want fair games not like these where the top 10 best players worldwide gets matched against the ten worst
