Man you did a great job of removing the windows. Glad you wore a bandana when removing the headliner. I would have broken both windows and bent the roof. Great job.
My father was a loyal VW owner of all models (no bus's) for 4 decades. (50's-90's) Those hooks in the back were hanging clothes. My Dad used them to hang his shirts or light jacket when he traveled. If memory serves, I think also got the clothes bar accessory that connected to both of the hooks and spanned the back seat.
Brian I think those hooks were for clothes. Everytime I see your car I think of when they were new and how much I miss the Fastbacks and Squarebacks. I had a friend in the early 80's who had a 4 door type 4. A 411, but he had a lot of issues with it. Not as reliable as the type 3 models.
That is a lot of rust on the window frame on the first one. Many ways to fix it. I think Mustie1 has something for it when he fixed his ratty VW bus/Pickup and the front window frame was chewed up with rust. Good Luck as always.
You need to ask you friend to make some stripping music for when you are doing this kind of uninstalling bro. Anyway enjoyed the video so all the best.. Still need rain here
