What kind of engine is it that makes that characteristic whine? Not all diesel - electrics make that particular sound. Excellent layout and operations, and I especially like the involvement! How cool to have guests in to experience the model layout and for the modelers to get recognition and to teach and to show.. props on the tree and shrubs groupings. Rather than a bunch of plants stuck on, they are natural groupings the way they are in nature.
Thank you for your comments. I think there maybe some explanation in the description. It is a collection of three different locations, all of which are private railways.
It's actually a 21.8mm lens on a Sony HDR AZ1 POV camera. It does give a better all round view without too much distortion. Also, when mounted on an HO scale flat car it fits within the NMRA HO loading gauge.

John, I have many videos of N, HO and G trains that aren't cab rides. I'm sorry that they aren't easier to find. Here's one: ua-cam.com/video/E336Y_XhZS8/v-deo.html or try a search with ' Vancouver Train Expo ' it'll be a good start.
Thank you for watching. Apparently you need to be more selective in your choice of videos. This is clearly noted as a model railway video. If you have no interest, you will obviously be bored.
Skeena Pacific, huh?? You think I didn’t know I was clicking on a model railroad video?? Holy cow, it’s worse than I thought! You’ve never even heard of a model steam locomotive! 😉 Well let me clue you in! Steam was the only source of power powering railroad locomotives back in the old days, from the beginning of railroading all the way into the 1950’s. Well actually, Diesel locos began to replace steam in the late 1930s, however, it took about ten years for diesels to be the standard engine power used. In the 1950s, diesels began taking over steam power, as they were easier to maintain, and more efficient. However, it’s just a boring glorified big rig truck if it ain’t a mighty steam engine! So that’s why your video bores me! Haha! But I have to say, y’all have a damn nice layout! 👍 I just wish more model railroaders lives steam like I do.😞
@@brohoop Uh, electric locomotives have been in use since the late 1800's. But I understand your wish for the steam operations. You might enjoy ua-cam.com/video/1Y2WuNB8BDU/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/kAJuqdUq5ic/v-deo.html Cheers!

Where did you get the Canadian Pacific snow plow? And the procor tank car?
Sorry, I'm just the cinematographer. I know little about the trains.

Looks great, but is there a reason you decided to go with the fish eye lens? Just curious if has something to do with the scaling.

What locomotives are those off to the side at 35:20?
Ryan 54 I'm sorry, Ryan, I don't know. It looks like someone created a locomotive on display at the station.
Skeena Pacific It’s okay. I was just wondering because they look like a locomotive I would want. Thank you
This is the most detailed 3 rail O scale layout I've ever seen. Loved every second of this video. Is your layout in an attic?
This is 2 rail and it’s in HO scale silly it says Ho scale in the title
I’m not really sure if it is HO scale though it looks very big

Yes, it's all HO. The camera is small so it gets right down to track level. Thanks for watching.
Just trying to help?... sorry if I offended you or something
@@mrsurfliner149 No offence. Just confirming you are correct. It's all HO scale.
Layout #3 is spectacular. Would have liked to see the train run through the bumper! 😁

Is it possible to create an outdoor layout in my backyard using HO scale instead of G scale?
Ted Tower Yes you can. There are a number of them in a garden railways Facebook group and my Father created one many years ago. Have fun!
On which site can you order such locomotives on a scale of 1 \ 87 НО in Ukraine?
Nice tour!
Thanks, Randy. There are a few more here since those. Just to help if you are isolated. ;-)

Most of these trains should be tumbling off the rails at the speeds they are traveling. Otherwise very nice.
Amazing...

0:38 washout...?
Uh, yeah, I guess.
Can't go through the tunnel's?
Yes, it did, but I ditched the "in tunnel" scenes as they were very boring.

When you see the operator constantly in view, it detracts from the enjoyment of the video. Walk behind the camera.
