I can't understand why some guitarists come here and criticize this performance. If it isn't your taste - go watch something you like. Comments about missing notes - this is quite a clean performance. Great tone. Catchy runs while maintaining theme. .....In general I hate shredding - but this guy kept my interest for 3 videos - averaging more than a million hits. I'm a better than average guitarist too, and I respect someone who can play like this - regardless of if it's my style or not. If you can do better - just go do better. But knocking someone who is quite good doesn't make you sound like an expert. The Great Kuwana Wana Mayo. It makes you sound petty and arrogant. And people get turned off by your comments, even if you are better. In fact, a real talent would encourage someone like this - and not take some little pot shot.

absolute freak!! The only problem with this vid, is he's in his bedroom, not on the biggest stage in the world. Definitely one of the all time greatests. I've seen alot of guitarists, but never seen anyone that can't be covered. We'll do a good cover of. I'd love to see someone do a cover :-)

My point is this: Would I buy an album of him playing like this - No. Would I spend money to go to a gig to hear him playing this for two hours - no. But if he can use his fantastic gift/ ability to play the guitar - and use it to become a musician - then I think he could become something extraordinary.
the guy can play anything, he just enjoys showing the limits of his skills on these kind of videos thats why he is not famous nor he is going to be either because apparently he does not care about making music ,he just showcases all you can do with a guitar and teach styles and stuff. these are solos, not SONGS. of course we would not hear this for over half an hour or our head would explode, but he loves teaching and does not care to become famous or anything. Oh and to become famous it requires more than just skill with the strings, it requires much much more, something he does not have or does not care to have.

I really love the way this guy plays so "special and great" and it hurts the brains and egos of the bedroom nobody lossers who spend more time critsizing peopel on youtube than actually practicing guitar . Anyone who says this guy suck should go have their head examined. There are oher spectacular players out there as well. You need to keep an open mind and find them. Instead of feeling threatened becuase they are so good. Let them inspire you to evelate yourself instead of mud slinging.

i think this guy plays such great flowing music because he really enjoys doing it! so for all you other guitarists stop worrying about getting new material! and just play for fun ;) forget about those second thoughts, Record urlself! and u'll see the real genius will come out
He's actually a very accomplished music teacher, he owns and teache's at a few music schools in brazzil and started out by learning the viola. After learning that to grade 8 distiction and beyond he moved on to drums and guitar with the motivation to create his own music style. But it is a shame that he hasn't spent more time on his chemestry with other musicians.

I think they sound amazing. It's shredder style music. He's doing some things that nobody else has ever incorporated into music before on a guitar. He's a soloist.
he doesn't have a floating bridge so he could only depress the whammy bar, he was going for the opposite effect, he was tightening the string to change the tone instead of giving the strings slack.
You don't have to use the mic on the camera. Take the cable from the guitar, run it through an effect pedal or any kind of active eq, and then into the microphone port on a computer with editing software. Mute the sound the camera recorded, sync the video with the audio from the eq output and you're done. Easy. I've done it.

I thought it would be due to his habit of practice with karaoke band on the tape. However, it maybe that he was too focused on technical details during his play rather than showing how he feels during his performance. It is shame anyway. He is technically superb indeed.
