If people enjoy scents in the bath, but are sensitive, do what I do. Scented candles in the bathroom. It adds to the feeling of decadence and spoiling oneself. Without any nasty itching.
Was going to comment exactly the same! Or sometimes I fill a bowl with hot water, add some essential oils and put it on the side of the bath while I soak 🛀
Having dry skin I’ve tried everything under the sun. The best thing of all is Epsom Salts it works so well. The Magnesium soaks in and you can feel such a difference to your skin.
I have chronic eczema and find using a basic unscented body moisturiser as a cream wash works really well. I usually get something with a pump. Neutrogena unscented body lotion is currently sitting in my bathroom. Aqueous cream is also designed as a soap replacement and is supposed to be rinsed off. Sometimes people mistake this for a moisturiser and wonder why it doesn’t work.
It is, but as someone with super sensitive skin who is was diagnosed as allergic to citral, it works brilliantly for me. Whereas sadly I can't use Aromatherapy Associates :(
I love the Westlab Salts, I swear by them. They also sell them in boots and at the moment they are on offer, half price. So usually £4.99 but at the mo, £2.49. Westlab also do a “mindful” one with added CBD oil, even better for pain relief. I have a chronic back pain problem, surgery is Monday, I love these salts on a very bad pain day xxx
I stopped having baths because they’re so not sustainable. Imagine having a bath every day! How much water goes to waste just for a human to feel well. Ridiculous! And now that I’ve moved I only have a shower anyway, so I can’t have a bath even if I wanted to. I think having a bath from time to time it’s fine but not regularly. Loved all of your recommendations, Nadine! You’re gorgeous! xx
I take a bath every night!! I use L'Occitane almond shower gel and have used this for years. It has fragrance but has never caused any sensitivities. All other products that have fragrance have caused painful itching in my "bits". I rinse off when I stand up but do not shower or bathe with any other products. This shower oil makes my extremely dry skin feel and look as good as my "66 year old body" can!! Have you ever tried this? Thanks..love your videos!
I love French pharmacy brands for bath & body. Avene, Mustela & Klorane all do gentle formulations for children/babies. A lot of these are available to order on easypharmacie and also make lovely presents (no Matey for my daughter!). I have been known to use Hada Labo face wash as a body wash and their cleansing oil for shaving, as you say "who makes the rules".
Aww Nadine Yogie is the cutest and so handsome!! I love it when he gatecrashes and joins you when filming!! He is a lovely little addition 😊 love all your videos
For terribly dry skin I plop some Shea butter in the tub and sometimes cocoa butter. Regular oils like coconut leave a slick coating those butters I find didn’t.
I absolutely love using Jordan Samuels skin coffee scrub which is scented but rinse it off and follow with his Olio. Its the ultimate luxury. I save it for special occasions as it is so special.
CeraVe has changed their formula somehow and now stings when using, many people have noticed. Hoping you can find out what the heck they did, it's so sad!

Hi, I tried the Xémose cleansing soothing oil by Uriage while on vacation and really loved it (cleanses, replenishes lipids and protects, for very dry skin prone to atopy) . It has no fragrance, for use on face and body but it does not mention that it is suitable for children, babies like Atoderm does. When I came back home, I bought the big Atoderm bottle by Bioderma rather than Uriage because it was on special! I also love it , it does have a light fragrance which I enjoy and I love how it leaves my skin silky soft after my shower. Thanks Nadine, love, love, love your channel :) subscribed, of course !
I have used Jason's Natural Body Wash for many years without any irritation (van't rate their products enough), and SVR Topialyse All-Over Gentle Wash-Off Cleanser
I only take baths so was excited to hear your recommendations. I love epsom salts and like how they don’t dry out my skin, purchased some Westlab ones from lookfantastic.com a few days ago and they are on sale. I sometimes put oat powder in my bath, annoying to clean up like my skin likes it. You can buy colloidal oat powder from Aveeno but it’s less expensive to just use oat powder/flour (think it’s the same thing). If you want scented products you can put a couple of drops of an essential oil in with any unscented product, that way you can customize what/how much. I also sometimes put coconut milk powder in and just buy a food-grade kind on Amazon (much cheaper than anything advertised for a bath), adds a nice subtle fragrance and softening to the skin because it has natural oils in it. Make sure it has some coconut milk fat in the ingredient list.
I really appreciate this video! I have injuries that necessitate bathing vs standing in a shower and I also have chronically dry skin and I've totally neglected considering the level of impact this must have on my skin!
Thanks for recommending the Bioderma shower oil. I have tried it for my super itchy calves, shins and ankles from wearing long johns and sock and it has so far reduced the need to scratch.
The bioderma oil is not an oil but a mild gel. An it’s fragrance I was very disappointed at the consistency an smell. Eucerin has bin my go2 for years. Thought it would’ve bin better value
I have two baths a day...a quick one before work and then a soothing one before bed. I amazed my friend after a girls night out by having a bath before bed at about 3am. There's too much anti-bath publicity about. I just dont feel clean from a shower...although I use one when i wash my hair.
I dont feel my hair is washed in the shower. I use the shower attachment over the bath otherwise i cant get the suds out properly. Not all showers let u detach the shower head to do this especially in hotels. Had to use a kettle to wash my hair in hotel last week 🤭
Hi Nadine, LRP do Lipikar body wash (normal line not baby but I feel like it's same thing just different packaging) and body oil-wash. I really love it and use it on my son who has eczema too. x
Fabulous product Epsom salts works wonders I have a low magnesium levels and really really good ! Stops my cramps ! For 2kg £6 I use this regularly, thanks nadine great video !
Speedy recovery Nadine, I have also just had surgery in the shoulder area & this really helped. However 14 stitches later any ideas you can give on scar reduction products would be a fab follow up :-)
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I was wondering if this type of thing was ever in your portfolio and this evening this flashed up !! Thank you Nadine and I can’t wait for the body creams, yes please xx
A face wash can definitely be used on the body, as long as the price is right ;) I think high street brands need to focus a little more on fragrance-free body products with beneficial active ingredients. I once had a very itchy body skin condition for no apparent reason, the only way I could resolve it was to use Head and Shoulders shampoo on my body 😂
Hate winter but love a warm (probably too hot) bath to warm up. The trade off is the crocodile skin after. So looking forward to your next video. The struggle is real. 😳
Fabulous video as always Nadine. I make my own bath melts with coconut oil and teatree oil..my skin feels lovely afterwards and the teatree makes me feel quite cleansed 😉
Hi Nadine, should good vids, so informative and helpful. I have a very dry itchy skin and post menopause very hot. I have found either baby lotion or E45 to be the most bearable. I have only just discovered Cerave and I love it. Being much older it is of paramount importance to keep looking after the body. Bless!
Love Neals Yard seaweed and arnica foaming bath. I stock up and treat myself when it's on special offer. It:s smells like nothing else, very earthy with plenty of essential oils. I am lucky to have very tolerant skin so not sure how it would be for anyone with sensitive skin, but it contains no mineral oils or synthetic fragrance. The foaming agent I am guessing as it's the second ingredient after water, is sodium methyl cocoyl taurate.
I use Sanex products, some are slightly fragranced and some are unfragranced, I tried a Eucerin unscented body wash but it smelled so bad I couldn’t use it! 😀
I have dry skin that can get quite severe in the winter, so I’ll definitely be trying one of the oils. Have you ever tried Sliquid feminine wash? I used to use it all of the time and I’m very sensitive as well. Now I use two different ones that I purchase from indie shops through Etsy. One is the “Nookie Cookie” from KjNaturals. The other is a Lemon Balm soap from SchoolHouseSoaps. Both of those are not fragranced however. But if you do have a look on Etsy, there are tons of feminine washes, some fragranced. Thanks, lovely🍃🌸
I use that Atoderm shower oil but have always wondered about its pH on lady parts (just because, if I'm going to bother to be kind to my skin, I may as well consider all bases). Any knowledge on this?
You were briefly featured in today's video about treating acne on the BBC website! :) P.S. I think the video was possibly a sneaky ad for Defensil Plus as the bottle was clearly visible while the cosmetic scientist was talking.
I like the idea of bath oil or even shower oil products but I have psoriatic arthritis and I'm absolutely terrified of making the bathtub slippy and having a accident trying to get out
Have you ever considered looking into organic neem oil? It's great when mixed with a combo of coconut and and castor oil with a few drops if neem oil mixed in. A friend with the same skin condition as you recommended it for my occasional itchy spots. Works great!
The LRP Toleraine line is unfragranced. Most Avene products contain fragrance I have found when reading the ingredients. The bioderma oil and the LRP shower oil mentioned both contain fragrance. I like the Uriage soothing cleansing oil (not the regular just the SOOTHING) for my eczema. It is fragrance free.
Same here! I only have a bath when I am just so sick that the thought of standing up in a shower is just too much! That’s how you can tell that I am really feeling like s**t 🤣🤣🤣

Great video! Could not agree more about using products for varies body parts. Like seriously, who makes the rules other than the companies making money. I've watched shows where they compare items marketed specifically for one gender and men's products often coming in a fair bit cheaper?? Crazy.
Ak not really tbh it tends to be anecdotal rather than clinical - it’s more about mood and memory than a clinical effect on the skin. Modern research also has concerns about things like lavender acting as endocrine disrupters x
