Lego should totally start reselling these. Partly because I don't want to spend 600 dollars on a vintage one, and who ever decided to retire these sets should be fired. These sets were just too good to go.
Agreed! As I’ve said before for other themes, I would LOVE to see what Lego’s designers could come up with today for Wild West, with all of the new elements and building techniques. Fingers crossed that someday nearly EVERYthing won’t be a licensed set... Thanks so much for watching! 😎👍
I don't know what it is, but these old lines have so much more character than the newer ones have. Maybe it is nostalgia, but even the backgrounds in the instructions have something more stylish than new ones
I agree. I think the fact that you automatically had to use your imagination (since they weren’t based on a licensed property), instantly increased the play value and imbued each set with more character, since you were forced to come up with your own backstories and character motivations, etc. That makes for s better toy, in my opinion.
I have to agree,I don't think it's just nostalgia,as I'm noticing in modern themes that the smaller sets are usually vehicles,whereas it was a mix of vehicles and small base sets that were able to add onto a larger set.
@@trontosaurusrex9532 also for few years now we have neither pirates, castle, Adventurers, space or western... which is very sad. And tbh the last 2 pirate ships we had kinda looked the same and not really that interesting tbh. We need at least one of these themes back.
@@AClassicBrick Yeah I agree with you on the most recent Pirate ships,and we definitely need at least one of these classic themes back. Tired of all the licensed stuff taking over the shelves. This video has inspired to grab some of those classic sets.

As far as I know the last pirate theme didn't sell well, so it seemed to lego as if we arent interested in a pirates theme (imo this was because of uninspired builds but whatever) Western seems outdated with all the discussion about racist stereotypes and depiction of other cultutes going on right now. It would probably be a big risk to dip into this nowadays for lego...
What's rather funny and ironic is that in Lego Chess in the opening cutscene for the Western story the sheriff is sleeping in a rocking chair outside the office.
The bad guys' face print is sooo rich in details compared to the cowboys' classic smiley face. I still remember how big deal was that for me back in the day as a kid.
This was the first and only western set I had as a kid, picking up the Legends rerelease edition. To me this was always a must for a western fan, and I'm happy to rebuild it again recently
Nice!! Definitely a good deal considering the transparent stickers. And luckily the minifigs are a fairly inexpensive pick up for this set. Congrats! 😎👍
Glass wasn't exactly that easy to come by in the old west and it had it's imperfections to say the least, bubbles on the decal could represent this easily. Great review!
I love that sheriff graphic in the intro! Is there any way I could get a copy of that to use as the wallpaper on my computer? Also, if you created it, would you be interested in assisting me restore the graphic from the old Wild West t-shirt? I have a mint copy of that shirt that I could scan/take a picture of and send to you. It's an amazing graphic, and for many years, I've wanted to have a digital copy.
I wish I had bought the fort extending it big enough to put the sheriff's office in the fort I a good spot. Lol it I guess wuld look nice adding on to the small town that has the bank and general store as well
After watching these, I got my mind set on making a Wild West display somewhere in the future! Great editing on these movies, btw, they're just really well done.

Agreed - they were by far the most expressive minifig heads we’d ever seen up to that point!

Great review as always! I really miss the 90ies playfeatures. The blow up function is as brilliant as simple. Same with the adventurers sets.

I recall of the Western theme Lego sets, I wanted Sheriff's Lock-Up.

These sets are really exspensive I saw one that was 3 mini figures and a horse for a lot there was no blocks
