Thank you for this tutorial! I realized Z3Cubing’s tutorial was a bit too complicated for me, so I went here as I was on this channel for the 4x4 assembly video, and it was amazing! This tutorial was simple and easy. Would help new cubers to solve this cube. Thanks a lot!

man, before this video i wached like 5 or 6 videos and all of them were like chinise to me. i coudn't figure out what the heck were they saynd. then i came here, wached this tutorial and i got my first solbe. well of course i wached some places multiple times but im so happy now and i hope athers are too!
I sometimes have an error when I did step 2 and the cornerx were at the yellow spot yet everything else (besides white side) were unsolved. How do I fix that? EDIT: TH he cube isn't broken, when I scramble it it solves (except for this case)
Great video! It is the best tutorial for the Skewb. I just have one problem. I get the white side done. But when I turn the cube when the 2 yellow headlights to the right and I do the right down left down right up left up - I get two white corners out of place. A white pops up in the front left and the top left of the face to the left. that is white on bottom and the yellow if for the top .Help and Why? Thank you in advance!!
@@baileykanon1408 Speak slowly and clearly, and in this setup the phone is quite close to my face so the mic picks me up well. Make sure the room is quiet, raise your vocal level in the edit and make sure the bg music is nice and low. I usually have music at 6 or 7% volume for example 🙌

@@Speedcubenz Not trying to be rude, but the guy is right; This video is really badly explained (don't take it personal; Seems to be a pattern with Skewb). At 7:15, you describe the alg as "down, down, up, up". (Which SOUNDS like you're saying "D2, U2"... which would make no sense... but thats what "down, down, up, up" means in normal notation, right?) But with each "down" move, you're rotating a different corner. The problem that NOBODY seems to explain, in ANY Skewb "how to", a very simple one- but one that never gets addressed. You come CLOSE (closer than any other Skewb guide, I've seen, tbh... But in the end, you don't actually explain it, either) Normal cube notation has SIX directions, right? "L,R,F,B, U and D"... Because cubes have 6 faces But the Skewb rotates around its CORNERS, not its faces, right? And it has EIGHT corners, not six? So how can normal notation, with only SIX directions, describe the corner-centred rotation of the Skewb, which has EIGHT degrees/directions of rotation? Maybe I'm just a complete idiot, and there's some super-obvious answer to this question, which I'm missing... ...but I suspect it's the above issue (and a few other, similar issues, raised by the skewb twisting around its CORNERS, rather than around its FACES, like most puzzles we're used to), which is why so many people get confused/frustrated by Skewb. The two big, fundamental questions nobody addresses are... 1. Exactly how does normal notation apply, when the puzzle rotates around the CORNERS, instead of rotating around the FACES (like normal 3x3)? [Like, with 3x3 you hold the cube flat, with one face towards you, and it's OBVIOUS which face is "F" (the front one, facing you, duh...), and which is "U"... But with Skewb, you hold the cube the exact same way, and you now have FOUR corners which are all EQUALLY "front"... and another 4 corners, that are EQUALLY "up"... You see why noobs like myself find that confusing, right?] And (2) how does a notation system, which only has letters for SIX directions, work when you have EIGHT (corner-centred) axes' of rotation? Again, I'm not trying to be a prick- Just trying to clarify the stuff that a lot of us find confusing, which none of the "how to" guides seem to address...
Best skewb how to on UA-cam. I watched all the big boys first got confused, watched this once and I can do it easy.
Thanks

finally a method that worked
This is the only one tutorial which helped me to solve the puzzle! Many thanks👍
Yay I can solve one now, can’t wait for solving it officially at SIC 2023!
Imagine watching j perm, z3cubing or tingman when u can watch this gold
IKR?
Imagine not being subscribed to Speedcube.co.nz tho... Go on, do it!
@@Speedcubenz I am already, aren’t I? Not being subscribed is like buying a Rubik’s cube when you could get a gan for the same price

This is a very good tutorial
Thank you! 🙏
ok i went to the store and got my cube and lube, I love how you can try out cubes there! I got to try a gan cube for the first time!
Yo thanks so much for visiting! I’m glad you like it 🙌
Thanks. Got an OcR with this.
I figured 🙌
Very nice , thank you for helping me solve the cube 😊
You just earned a sub !😊
Awesome, thank you! ❤️
Nice 👍
Never knew skewb was so basic, at a beginner level.
Might have to buy one.
Easy to learn, hard to master 😂
@@Speedcubenz Yeah that's why I said beginner level. Advanced Skewb would blow my mind away 🤔
Same - big brains only!
I think you know where to buy it from :)
Very informative, and simple tutorial!! Thx :)
Thanks for watching!! 🙌
@@Speedcubenz anytime bro!!

Did you end up finding a solution for this?
Editing is noice!
What did you use to edit?
Just iMovie honestly!
Graphics are done in Canva, filmed on an iPhone 11 plus a couple of cheap K-Mart lights! Pretty simple setup to be honest :)
@@Speedcubenz Wow! That’s pretty impressive. I’m not that great with iMovie 😅
It’s actually pretty powerful once you find all the secrets 😂 would like to upgrade at some point though.

Such a good tutorial
Ayy thanks so much I'm glad you like it!
I think I have a special case with my skewb?
Nope - only if your skewb has been put back together wrong
This was very helpful it was super simple gud job
You're so welcome, thanks so much for watching! Please smash the sub button for more :)
Thanks for this. You'll help me so much
No sweat, thanks for watching!
Hello, I’m able to solve it except the center part can you make a video you on all cases on the centers
nah
Tysm
Nice!
Thanks so much for watching!
Why do you call is a "side event". Its just an event, like any other, surely?! (Granted, the 3x3 is on a higher pedestal).

Just ordered a Gan skewb
Exciting! 🙌
It didn't work for me, but it ALMOST DID 😂
Update: I DID IT! I SOLVED THE SKEWB WITH THIS METHODK

Thanks Kam! 😂🙌
I dont understand what it is, but this tutorial is lost on me lol. Im assuming Im holding the cube wrong or turning wrong lol
YOU HAVE THE SAME SCRAMBLE LIKE ME BRUH😂😂
Ha ha what are the chances?! 🤣
Yass!!! Is skewb fun?
I quite like it but I hate to WCA scramble it lol, that's the next skewb video I'll make I think!
I got a 7.69 average with beginner method at A new year in Auckland so it can't be that bad
Yo nice work! 🙌
@@Speedcubenz thanks I need to learn a better method but I,m to lazy

Keep trying, you can do it!
Can you teach me slow
It was slow
I mean this was pretty slow, and don't forget to pause!
I don’t understand the algorithm
Watch it again, you'll work it out, I believe in you 🙌
this makes no sence
Nah it definitely works - watch again and you'll get it :) This is pretty much the simplest way to solve the skewb.
