In this video I show you a bad ABS module for your BMW E65 750i E66 750li what happens is the contacts inside the Bosch 5.7 module heat up and become loose from their connection which chimes your car and then the 3 yellow light tri-fecta lights come up. I don't believe I will attempt this fix because I'm not the best micro solder, but I might you never know, I like to do things myself, but also if you purchase a new one you will have to code it also known as registering it to your car. The easy way is to buy a repair service send your own car's module into a repair service guy who can fix it then will send it back, you can also still drive your car while your module is removed.

Its the Rotation Rate Sensor DSC,Its under the passenger footwell.It leaks in through the sunroof and fills up the footwell with water that never goes away until you address it. The piece you need to change is under the passenger footwell. Rotation Rate Sensor DSC.

You think it is the sensor or the module? Sensor is small round piece?
True had a very similar problem, the tubes that drain water from the sunroof get clogged you need to clean them out carefully. They exit behind the front wheel shields. Just check your footwell see if it’s wet. Especially after you went through the car wash.

Hi i have a 2003 745 li bmw and i am having trouble with the car, i wanted to ask you if you know, heard or ever been told that the car has been reseting the monitors on its own? The reason im asking is because my car has been doing that, i put my scanner and everything is good its ready for smog test but out of no where it resets all the monitors on its own. I wanted to see if you have ever came across this problem before and if so what did you do to fix it.
If your module fails, it can reduce the response to wheel caliper independently. Example is from complete stop, brake applied, moderate acceleration, you will feel a jerking and hear "crack crack crack." This is the malfunctioning module failing to send release signal to reduce applied pressure to caliper. So basically, when you speed up, the caliper on one wheel will grab and you will hear the rotor and pad sound off as the module corrects itself, or tries to at least. 2001 x5 e53

Chris or ANYONE, wondering what levers on the steering wheel illuminate when the lights are on. I'm thinking all the lever icons are supposed to light up. The only one on mine that lights up is the transmission lever, and the green icon on the windshield wiper lever. For some reason I'm thinking ALL the icons were illuminated a few days ago, including turn signal eye icons, cruise control clock symbol, and windshield wiper lever. Pretty much ALL the white on all levers. Please let me know which ones are supposed to light up. Thanks
before you send your unit in check the connector right behind the coolant tank. mine has gotten a small amount of water in it if i go to a particular car wash. the outside of the connector will look fine and possibly the inside of the connector too, take some compressed air and blow out the connector even if it has no signs of water in/on it. I have a 2006 760li and this trick has worked 3 times. make sure to give it a day to see if it works the computer will eventually reset itself and it may go away. Its free and worth a shot before spending money to get something fixed that's not broken !
side note: i had all the symptoms for the bimmerfest post about how to repaor the module.

Hi Chris. I need to replace low beam bulb (driver side) on my BMW E65.I see some people on UA-cam removing front bumper to do this job.is this accurate? Seems like extremely complicated .I'm sure you did it on you car at some point. Could you please tell if it is an easier way to do this? Thanks.

i have a 525i e60 body, and i have the same problem with the lights also my brake pedal gets very hard lole if the booster is not working bit it doesn't do it all the time tho, also gives me the engine overheating alert within 5 minutes after i atarted the car.

I had this same problem. And didn't change it because people were saying it would harm anything. Then it went out while I was on the free way and I just totaled out my bmw. So get it fixed asap when this code comes on.

@@gabegaitan6964 Yeah everything locked up. And i couldn't control nothing. I think its a combination of things like the wheel speed sensors also. I had those changed out and just replaced the module. So now its ready for the frame shop hopefully everything is good afterwards.

I just got new wheels and tires on my e66 . The next day this trifecta of lights went on. Can this be related. The wheels are bigger and heavier than the stock ones

Do you have any videos on EDC related problems ? I have a 05 760li my get bouncing when I hit bumps on rear passenger side . This problem is very bad while in sport mode , it’s present in comfort but not as bad . Also when going over speed bump I hear sound from shock . Any help would be appreciated.

U think it's possible that you should change your fuses in your fuse box that goes to your abs module? What if a fuse is just blown?

I have been having DSC failure appearing on my dash for a very long time and i am clueless if this has anything to do with my tyres shaking when it gets to 60km/h speed.i have had to change all the arms, tie rods, stabilizer linkages and did balancing and alignment times without number but the problem persist, i am just not enjoying the drive in my BMW any longer. Pls advise

Hello, I am wondering if the BMW E66 has a coolant line connected to the power steering pump. I see a little bit of coolant leaking underneath the pump.
Bit late to reply but if you have the v12 N73 engine it is likely the dreaded "weep hole" problem which shows up as coolant around the PS pump.
@@marktolner2922 Yes, a tiny bit late, sold the car a long time ago. The leak was a bad oring on the line that feeds the water cooled alternator. The alternator bracket gasket was shot though and began to leak oil. Unfortunately this problem wasn't worth it for me to fix, too bad as the part was less than 5 dollars, but the labor to fix it was over $1,000 at a shop.
I have 2008 750Li, same issue all the dash lights and the idrive information. However I has able to pull a code, it was the left rear wheel speed sensor. Went online and purchased a very inexpensive one, the lights stayed off for about 2 weeks then started coming back on. Checked codes again it was the same wheel speed sensor. I purchased a much better sensor. The lights have been off for about 3 months now.

EL RADAR My car has the same problem, I have an 08 750Li and I’ve been told by several people who have the same car that there’s a bypass you can connect to the sensor. As of right now your airbag for the passenger side are off but with this bypass they will always be on. Just make sure there are no small children up front and you should be fine
I have the same 3 lights on but also when I make a left turn the left front side of the car drops down for a few seconds. What would cause that to happen. Can anyone help me out

Did you loose power steering ... I sit mine overnight and all the lights go off next morning then a few miles down the road they all come on and power steering shuts off too , frustrating
mine loses power steering and sometimes cruise control aswell so im thinking its a speed sensor that went bad

I have both the same issues on mine, the servotronic system and DSC system is under the front passenger footwell. Water leaked through my sunroof onto the front passenger footwell and fried all those modules.

Is that the board that is part of the ABS unit? I presume by no codes you mean no obdii codes? In my case I had a steering angle code and a module failure code. I was lucky enough to have mine fixed under warranty.
Andrew Thompson wow very lucky to have covered under warranty, yes correct I wasn't pulling any OBD2 codes.
Andrew Thompson also yes that little board picture is the problem, it's located inside the module, you have to drimal tool the top open, Bimmerfest has some great write ups on fixing your Bosch 5.7 ABS control module. I think I'm going to have it fixed by a module professional, I could do it hopefully and fix it but if I mess it up then I have to pay 4-5x times more for a new one or 2-3x more for a used one then I would have to code a used one or a new one. eBay has great prices on module repair I think I'm going with a company called BBA.

hectormarin95 hmm very interesting, try to repair your module 1st before you dive into something more expensive since you have to get it repaired anyway, eBay has great prices on module repair I think I'm going with a company called BBA. they charge around 110 I think for shipping included search Bosch 5.7 ABS module, I asked if their prices for fixing the Bosch 5.7 module are the same for every car because I saw other BMW's from 2003 I think, they responded and said that it's the same price to fix it, I did notice they charge a few bucks more for certain cars worth more money for some reason. Try that then you won't have to code anything because their fixing your own ABS module, I've heard you can still drive fine without it while it's being repair just don't slam on brakes, take it easy, but double check that before you drive. You might want to ask them some questions, hope this helps.

07 328i abs modulator. in shop now. sent off (rebuild) 5 yr warranty install, computer reset 1,034$ yes that's right. still waiting to get back. all 3 lights, abs(light) no cruse control DTC or abs functions. good luck everyone...

DIYsavecash I replaced my abs module and my lights are gone but it keep going off and then blinking and my transmission goes into safe mode I think that's what they call it ...I read something about the voltage regulator but I have no idea where is located and how it works ...
interesting, I'm not to familiar with the voltage regulator myself, try to Google BMW E65 E66 voltage regulator problem and read everything you can about this on the BMW forum boards, those guys/gals have been through everything:)
P.S did you use your same ABS module? or did you buy a New one? also if you bought a new one did you code it (program it to your car)?

My 2010 750I is doing this now. Tech said that my fuse keeps blowing that controls the dcs. So that means i might have a bad abs module the cost is 3k????? C'mon man... it happened 3 days after a new battery install not sure if that had anything to do with it or not
J Harting ok there’s lots of questions that need to be answered 1.) he said the fuse.. fuses and sensors are two different things you should verify what it is. 2.) Theres places that repair abs module and you could probably remove it yourself if you’re car savvy 3.) when you install your battery did you get it registered to the computer and make sure it is the right type of battery.
Alex a BMW shop did the Battery replacement- a well known shop prob guys who used to work for BMW. They have it now, I sent it back to them and they told me about the fuse blowing issue, he said in the F01 the module is located in a difficult spot and he ruled out the CASS....not sure what that is but said that fuse controlled that and the ABS......his next test was to disconnect the ABS and see if the fuse holds.....I am searching now for a rebuild place......a new unit cost 3k!!!!
J Harting J Harting well if it’s a fuse there’s a fuse box in thetrunk passenger side and there’s also one in the dashboard. I would try pulling them out check to see if they’re blown or use a voltage meter, if they look fine leave them out for about ten seconds then put them back drive around and see if the problem persists. There is also a “parking brake actuator” in the trunk you should look into sometimes a gear is broken causes these lights to go off. If you live in so cal I have a spot in the city of Van Nuys that repairs the ABS Module for about 150 but you have to remove it and send it to them.

Plz guys if these happens after a carwash or harsh bumps then in the front or back behind the wheels there r sensors tht hve been corroded inside so either replace the sensor or jst just the sensor n make the wires direct. Problem fixed
How do the sensors look like to you have a link to purchase? I took my car to a clielrsd mechanic that was fixing another issue on the car but needed to take off most of the front suspension I assume he forgot to attach a wire or wires back

It does have the ability if you have the rear DVD player placed in your car. I have heard a couple of people get some type of aftermarket setup installed but I don't really know the whole thing since I only place what came with it because all the issues that could pop up since everything is almost linked together.
Hi Chris quick question, about a year ago I had my ABS Module rebuild due in part because all the lights on my dashboard would lit up and my speedometer would stop working after driving the car for a short time. After having the unit rebuild and reinstall all those issues went away except one. Which I have still been unable to resolve.
The nature of the problem, is that the brakes seem to be losing their power assist anytime I use my brakes to roll to a stop. Or, whenever I'm heading downhill and have to come to a stop slowly. However, under hard braking the system seems to be working fine! Have you ever come across this type of issue?

chazgar. I believe you have a speed sensor or 2 going out or reluctor ring or rings need cleaning or possibly replaced. the rings is what the speed sensors get there input from to send to computer.
my brother had this problem when we drove we instantly got 5 errors abs 2 signs and traction control and parking brake but gone after 10 mins

Hi I have a 2006 750Li. I changed all the sensors 3x and had the abs mod rebuilt. The abs logo and brakes tracking light code still pops up on the dash board. Please help
Check the battery. After winter, my e65 started to throw out random fault codes and guys at service told, that battery might be starting to give up and there is not enough power for everything. Take Your battery to service and ask them to check it out, before You buy/change anything else. Worst thing You can do is just replace parts, without knowing, why it is happening. Hope it helps!

I have a 2005 745li BMW and my Reverse,Neutral and Drive keep blinking and ABS symbol comes on. I've already changed out the intergraded supply Module and it still does not start. And the break pedal is extremely stiff. Thanks. Any information would help. I'm ready to junk this car lol

The cause of the Park Brake light is yellow the ABS sensors rear broken.
If speed indicator stops the left sensor is broken and if lost works the broken sensor is right

I had the same issue …its in the steering wheel under the airbag …2 pins usually eaten or the green board is dirty…needs to be checked by an electrician or u can do it by ur self…check this video.
