I think a lot more artists should take notes from Punk Rock. Punks have always had a DIY mentality in terms of making and putting out music without having to sign over control to big corporations. I think they are a great example of finding success without selling out to capitalism.
i would love to see you guys cover an artist like Kesha. to discuss the issues so many artists have faced when having internal battles with management & labels
Great video! Really insightful and well-researched! While Spotify's insights are useful for independent artists, the royalty/fair compensation/fair use debate in the digital age is prominent, especially for independent artists. As a music law student (who's made a few videos on this), I think that would be a fantastic next video topic... Have a blast at Coachella! (Maybe do a recap video too?)
this episode was sooo interesting and amazing insight was given!! I would love you guys to do a deep dive on artists like Tyla!! I think it would be super interesting and fun to hear your take on it. Love this show so much 🥰❤
I am so obsessed with this podcast! Please talk about Billie adding her followers to close friends to promote the new album. I would love to hear your opinions and how this will affect the other artists.
Yess I love when you guys analyse up and coming music artists! I hope to become an artist that you guys will have heard of one day (gettinghighonlilacskies) I haven’t released music yet, but I want to knuckle down this year !
Thank you all so much for watching and supporting us! We appreciate you. Follow us on IG because we will be posting about coachella this weekend ❤

You said that Dasha and Benson were independent, but they are under Warner❤
They were independent at the time of filming! They were both signed to Warner recently after their songs blew up :)
